In order to make hole smaller use a narrower, longer template for your sections. The more narrow your pie shape template, the tighter the hole, and the more sections needed. This is more of a wrap, for around base of large tree stand.
Basically anywhere that sells sewing notions...a quilting wedge template...remember, the more narrow the wedge is, the smaller your center hole in the tree skirt.

a nice touch would be some hand stitching to outline each wedge but otherwise a great tree skirt that will last a lifetime. thanks for sharing!
