    I always love the arguments for driving on the left. England is one of very few places who still do it, yet they pick on the USA for being one of the few places who still don't use metric....lol. We all have our quirks. From what I can pick up the reason for the Part time traffic light sign is to let people know it's off by design not due to damage. We don't have anything comparable in the US, as you say we just shut them off and let people figure it out. Good job on the parking, the first time you just overcorrected a bit. Another fun video. Blessings

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  Год назад +1

      Yeah, non-metric is just weird, but so many industries a founded on it, things like construction. But I cringe every time I have to figure out whether a counter is 5/8" or 7/16". :) ~ I'm a little baffled that we don't have a common name for a traffic light that is only functional for part of a day. I mean, I think you're right that we just expect people to figure it out, or perhaps Americans just default to "lights out, I don't need to pay attention to it". But I still think they'd have a name. :)

      I think you'll find that's more Europe. In UK we still use a mix of imperial and metric. Our speed limits mph. Many of us still use Feet and inches. We still weigh ourselves in Stones, pounds and ounces.

      The promap mod is incorrect there is no ferry connection from Uk to the Faroe Islands. To do the route the real world version from Edinburgh United Kingdom to Reykjavik Iceland you would have to do this:
      Take the A1 south through Newcastle upon Tyne and pass Leeds Sheffield and Peterborough then A14 to M11 through Cambridge then south on M25 cross the river Thames at Dartford crossing on A282/M25 then M20 south to the Chunnel and pass Calais on A16 A16 become E40 at Ghyvedle at Belgium France border E17 east at Ghent Ring 1 to bypass Antwerp to E313 to E34 which becomes A67 in Netherlands which becomes A40 in Germany then A3 in Duisburg to A2 to A44 to A1 to A262 to A7 to E45 in Denmark to E39 to the ferry to Faroe Islands

    Loving these PM journeys mate and they do such great work and add so much little extras in each region from signage to towns/cities being added and fleshed out more. I never get ads the joys of YT Premium and defo worth the small investment, nothing worse then chilling with a video then a ruddy ads pops up right. I think those PT signals are like we have here that only become active when traffic is heavy and/or accidents have happened to better control the flow.

      I think this could be a very fun save, indeed. • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  Год назад

      Sure thing! Once you get monetization status, you have full control over ad placement, so you go in and set them up how you like them. I think you can control how often and perhaps where ads show up in the middle of a video too, but I didn't spend much time in there on the Zilla Blitz channel, I just turned them off as soon as I could. You can also make them skippable or non-skippable, or turn them off altogether for the whole channel. I figure skippable at the beginning is reasonable, so that's what I've left them on for the year or so the channel has been at that status.

    Thanks to your comments in this video, I realized I forgot to change my RUclips @ handle haha. Now it matches my user name. So thanks!
    WARNING: A large amount of info for map mods below. I've used a lot of them haha. If you decide to use any of these but aren't sure where to put them in the load order, I can probably help with that.
    Yeah, Road to Asia is good too. Some other maps I like are Project E6 (though you need a road connection to fix some bugs), Paris Rebuild, Sud de France, Swedish Islands (needs a patch), Itarevamp, North Macedonia Rework, and Northern Ireland Rebuilding. SibirMap, SRMap, and VolgaMap can be used if you decide to include RusMap and The Great Steppe to further expand that region. Also Java Road Revolution is cool and high quality if you want to add some more areas in Asia. It connects to Road to Asia. There's also a new mod, Horn of Africa, that looks pretty good but I haven't personally driven there yet. Some other ones that I haven't been to yet but am currently testing are Kirov Map, Altai Map (both Russia), Peyrat-le-Chateau (France I think), and Santiago de Compostela Anadido.
    The team that does Road to Asia also has a few other mods for ETS2. One is small and not essential, but one that hasn't released publicly yet, Road to Africa, is pretty good and pretty big. It used to be called Red Sea Map but that one is being retired in favor of the new name changed version with some more areas, but they share the same core region. When the bugs in that one are fixed and it's finally out, it'll be a definite mod to add.
    One other African mod I really like is MaghrebMap, but unfortunately the recent release has some bugs and it has some serious incompatibility issues with other maps you see in large combos. Keep an eye on it though and see if it gets fixed, as it's a really high quality take on northwestern Africa. Finally, there's a mod I really like called Poland Rebuilding that adds a lot of depth to Poland, but it hasn't released a version for 1.47 and ProMods 2.65 yet. Keep an eye on it though.
    Often you'll also have the mod RoExtended recommended to you. It and its add-ons add all of Ukraine and Turkey, and some areas to Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Bulgaria, but I'm actually not a huge fan of that mod overall. It overrides several ProMods areas, and its vision of Ukraine and Turkey aren't super realistic. It's okay, and good for an alternate profile but maybe not a ProMods-dominant profile, as it overwrites a lot of ProMods in areas that I think ProMods handles better.

    • @ZillaBlitzPC
      @ZillaBlitzPC  Год назад +1

      Wow, this is great information, thanks so much! I'm copying this straight over to my ETS2 notes for future reference. I had no idea there were so many other options out there. This is amazing stuff. I'm inclined to add the Java Road Revolution and Road to Asia ones right away, as that'd be fun to extend east more. I'll gradually start checking these out. Some I might add to the other profile's game to explore as mini-series, and then add some to this one as well. Fun times, thanks so much, this is great stuff! :)

And he also makes sound mods that replace the default sounds of the engines, and it makes for an even better playing experience in my opinion. If you do end up deciding to just go ahead and download them, I would recommend you download all of his sound mods that replace the default ones so you can have better sounds on a decent amount of the truck brands in the game.
