Wasn't it the same thing that happens to literally every seasonal anime?
So, yes. But there was confusion on the Netflix thing and the movies and I had to keep clearing it up with my friends and I eventually just decided to make a video on it. I just put it under the, "What Happened to" banner because I couldn't think of another way to make it interesting to watch. Really this is to clear up the confusion rather than explain what happened to it.

Netflix is not even trying. The names can mean so much more. Okay, they did help us for watching this, but naming it an original is pretty boring and incorrect (by believing the info on this video)

Little Witch Academia was one of those shows I wish kept going, I haven't been this hooked to an anime since pokemon.

I haven't actually got the game for some reason. I was planning to, but just didn't.
I'd suggest skipping it and just watching the cutscenes online. The game is mostly just you running all over the place just to find a specific person to talk to to continue the story. And considering where they are changes depending on the in game time, it can be quite a pain.

The Worst Witch, not Harry Potter. How many times do I have to tell everyone that LWA is more similar to The Worst Witch than Harry Potter? The Worst Witch has an all-girls magic school, which Hogwarts is not. Akko Kagari is no Harry Potter or Midoriya, but more like Mildred. Then again, I don't blame anyone for comparing LWA to HP because no one much really knows what The Worst Witch is. Btw, The Worst Witch is on Netflix, like, you know, Little Witch Academia. Sorry about this mini rant. I just hate it when people compare Little Witch Academia to Harry Potter and/or My Hero Academia, and not the more obvious TWW (or maybe Tweeny Witches as well).

I watched this as a child, its was my very FIRST anime! I watched it again a few hours ago and it made me cry when it ended. Its was so nostalgic, i forgot how heart warming and emotional it was, i smiled when they did cried when they did. Though it might be a kids show the ending STABBED ME IN THE HEART i love this show ❤

I really miss this show, I've watched many anime since i was little but eventually fell to the trend of hating on anime and anime fans for no reason until a few years ago my friend made me watch this show at a sleepover, i really didnt want to but i watched one episode and while my friend fell asleep i finished the whole show. Its what reignited my love for anime and media as a whole.

I remember watching it when school was really bad at the time. It made me super happy with the combination of magic, anime, adventures and the little bit of romance it had. I wish there was more :(
I hope one day the creators behind the series will finally have enough time to make season 3. This show has a lot of potential and it would be awesome to see it make a comeback.

This anime brings me the same feeling that I had watching My Little Pony, I don't know why but it is a warm, funny and happy sensation.
Netflix don't have anything to do with the anime they say is original they just have the rights to show it because you can find all of them anywhere that shows anime months before it's even on Netflix like Seven Deadly Sins season 2 was nearly a year old before it was on Netflix

It's less Harry Potter and more Worst Witch, another British series that no one seems to know about, but it's about an exclusively witch academy where the main student has no magic talent and gets into hi-jinx from her magical screw-ups. Just trying to educate people about Worst Witch so people can stop calling this a Potter rip off.
I love Worst Witch!! I do think LWA was more inspired by it than HP....though HP was inspired by WW so I guess it's a triangle lol.

I really love this anime and it hurts to know that we might not be getting anymore of it and watching through the first opening again makes me feel so nostalgic and DAMN I wish little witch academia was as long as naruto or at least has 100 episodes

the problem I have with the anime, was the ending. it felt rushed, and the final boss was stupid. It could have done so much more, and Akko is genuingly awesome.
I also feel insulted over the insinuation that Disney could have made it, they could never have made something of this caliber, because despite the ending it is still a show I would recommend. Disney is only a study in what NOT to do.

That show was beautiful. I’m man enough to say I loved it even though it looks more like something my little niece would watch. It’s as beautiful as Disney was when I was a kid. Maybe I should watch it with my niece and nephew.

Everything abt this anime is so !!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Their voice actresses are so amazing, I enjoy hearing them talk. Honestly one of the animes where I love the main protagonist without being annoyed.Each episode was well written. Nothing is forced yk, so hoping there would be toxic hating ppl bc the fandom is pretty peaceful. I love how the creator is open abt Diakko(they make sense tbh)
I’m surprised the death of Michiru Shimada hasn’t been mentioned. She was the screen writer for the anime and the movies so I imagine her passing has a lot to do with the status of the show.

for any 2020 watchers of this, there is a VR game coming out on october 13th (its a broom riding game). There was a second release of the akko nendaroid and an akko figure (also made by good smile), there were also a few other good smile products like keyrings. the manga series was finished and it was only 3 mangas (which i highly reccomend). The next lwa thing thats coming up is dianakko week 2020 which is a whole week on tumblr for artists to draw diakko :) theyre are prompts for each day for what it to be drawn! Thats from august 24-30!!

We then eventually got another anime series with the word Academia in the title, it's called My Hero Academia. I wonder if the two series are connected in any way.
They are only connected through one brand Toho Animation. Otherwise none! They are different MHA is from Shueisha/Shonen Jump while LWA is from Studio Trigger. But everyone agrees that both Akko and Deku are such cute dorks XD!

And both of them are at the beginning the total Underdogs at there School. Akko who has ZERO Magical Talent and kand even ride a Broom and Izuku who cant youse his Quirk without crippling himself. But that is already where the similtaries stop. Izuku already starts to improuve pretty earlie while Akko....ahm...is Akko.

This is the type of anime that I would watch over and over without getting bored.
1. Its short so you wan binge watch it in about 3 days or less.

I called out that netflix "original" BS years ago.. They actually tried to defend it and claimed they helped produce things... things that previously existed without them and would've very likely been scooped up by better quality sub/dub companies had they not swooped in.
I watch Little Witch Academia on repeat😹 the anime town is based where I grew up in Glastonbury! And it’s was so cool to see the tor in the anime for the first time, knowing I live next to it😻✨

Yeah about that... Trigger has reportedly wanted to do a S2 and even apparently started early work on it at some point in 2018, but due to lacking a sponsor to provide the funding for it and what not, it got shelved in favor of BNA: Brand New Animal instead. Also the problem is that Michiru Shimada (the head writer) is dead so it demotivates Yoshinari and the team from going forward with a S2 and playing a factor in it getting shelved.

I know this video is a few months old now but I want to clear up some confusion about a possible third season. It's already out, it's Season 2. The thing is that Japan labels seasons different because they release it based on the seasons of the year (spring, summer, fall/autumn and winter). So the first season of Little Witch Academia released over two seasons but Netflix calls it season 1.
TL;DR: Netflix Season 2 == Japan season 3
