That is the moment I felt like I just died. One of my friend went to see his mum after 12 years before lockdown started and came back just before flights stopped. She died last week.
Thank you for not talking about the battery, charger or wrist strap for 10 minutes before getting to the camera like every other review. Straight to the point without wasting time just to get over the 10 minute mark.

Seriously, the best product review I have seen on this camera. You covered all the marks of this camera, you did it quickly, it was entertaining and you had great product plugs! Bravo!! :P
Love it. Btw Just a quick note on the slow motion mode. It's not actually a full 720p at 960fps. It's actually closer to 270p then upscaled. That's unless they made a major upgrade from the RX100 models. Basically from 240fps onwards it's cutting it's vertical resolution in half every time you double to frame rate. They then squeeze the footage into an upscaled encoding. So 240fps @1080p turns into 480fps @540p which turns into 960fps @270p. I think technically they use a slightly offset resolution, but that's the basic principle. This vertical line skipping is why you get such a heavy moire effect instead of just a softer shot. 240fps is kinda the sweet zone if ya want rad slow motion without the drop off in quality. It's basically a mini FS700 in your pocket.
Yeah it def doesn't look 720---- but it denoises and cleans up okay. The softness is def when you don't got focus, which I didn't. You have to lock focus and then film for only 4 seconds. So it's very limiting--- but really really cool for the price. Thanks for the info, I'll do a deep dive for the next video.
@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL Right on. Btw If ya ever wanna collab on some stuff with Phantoms I own a Phantom MIRO LC321s that shoot 1,500fps @1080p and my business partner owns a v1611 that shoots 18,000+ @720p. Love your work. Would be glad to figure something out.

It isn't until 480/500 fps QP when you're dipping below 720p (1824×616) resolution. In fact Sony RX 100 Mark V can capture HFR with the same quality but 150-300% longer clips that ZV1. Best review of this camera from a filmmaker's perspective. I have the RX100 VA (Mark V body with the Mark VI processor) and found this very informative, much better than other people who dismiss it because it's a point and shoot, or think it's just for the average consumer
THe RX100 VA has a wider 8.8mm lens. The ZV-1 lens maxes out at 9.4mm which is 26.5mm equivalent. Sony marketing has been deceptive. I compared it to my RX100 vii. Wider lens and better "intelligent" stabilization. ZV-1 reused old sensor and processor of teh RX100 VA, with a slightly narrower lens at teh wide angle end. But The RX100 V has no mic input. Otherwise it is a better camera with EVF, wider lens, mode dial. OK the ZV-1 can be turned on quicker by rotating the screen, and use it as a camcorder. But it is disappointing compared to the more advanced RX100 vii
