i just want to thank you so much , these short videos are so great and i understnd all these topics clearly now in such a short time which saves time. especialy when the paper is in 2 days.
@@MaChemGuy have you got any prediction of what practical may come up on paper 1 for OCR A, also do I need to memorise all the steps for each practical? Or just have a basic knowledge about them
@@sui9452 Wouldn’t want to predict that tbh. No you don’t have to memorise them as schools/colleges can use their own practical tasks do long as they cover the required skills. A general knowledge is what’s needed
I’ve had lots of messages from people over the years who do Edexcel saying how helpful the videos were. Even your exam board itself recommends them so I don’t think you should worry. Good luck!!
Hi there, just a quick question regarding redox How does one know if an alkali or acid electrolyte is used in an exam question and do I necessarily need to know it if i want to write half eqeuations for both half cells (anode and cathode)?
For OCR Yes you need to know. Also you need to know that its an example of a disproportionate reaction and you need to know risks and benefits of chlorinating water

Thanks for these videos, I use them although I do the Edexcel exam board so I hope there’s not many differences between the two!

do we need to know the equation for cl2 and water to make chlorate and a chloride for other exam questions or?

@@farisjunaid8138 thanks.
hey sir, one last question if that's okay... what is the difference between dilute and concentrated?

i though bromine was orange in water not yellow - because the bromine water test for alkenes make its go from orange to colourless ?
Depends on concentration. Does not dissolve readily in water so yellow more likely colour
what's an organic solvent? can you please give some examples?
Cyclohexane is the default one
