    Hi Sir, is hess's cycle not needed if you use Ep-Er for enthalpy of formation or Er-Ep for enthalpy of combustion?

      Skepticz As long as you get the correct answer! Sometimes they present the info as a cycle so worth knowing how they work

    For moles if you have 2 substances do you use the one which is in excess?

      No u use the one that isnt in excess I think

      @@blackredce2655 thats what i thought but i was doing a question today and the only way to get the right answer was use the one in excess OR i got the wrong one in excess not sure but i think your right
