Maryam Khan i think the skin tone is off! She is beautiful and it was executed beautifully, but to me who also is of Indian decent i feel the skin tone leaves more to be desired

@@jaimieherak6961 there is no standard of color or specific tone for Indians. Skin tones from light to dark, undertones include red, yellow... and so on. So I respectfully disagree.
jaimie herak from what I've noticed about Bollywood films, many of the leading female figures tend to have lighter skin tones. I think there's a problem with skin lightening amongst some of the actresses
I think I speak for everyone when I say we want a dolls of the world series, all sorts of different dolls and cultures represented especially ones with little representation! Maybe even a few traditional outfits from a long time ago. My mind goes to traditional Dutch or German dresses.

Have you watched Dollightful's videos? She's done some traditional hanbok customs before 😀. She customized a unicorno doll to wear a wedding hanbok in celebration of her own wedding to her Korean husband

What about a Native American doll? That would be pretty cool to see, not the cliche Pocahontas but real. You can see alot of the styles if you watch videos of pow wows. I live in Oklahoma and we always have a Cherokee pow wow here once a year, there's bound to be tons of videos on RUclips. Try searching Cherokee national holiday.

Gloves?
It’s probably a gel polish, that is cured with uv light (the curved light she uses to cure resin is made specifically for these manicures). It can’t be easily removed with acetone; you actually need to scrape/file the topcoat off and soak your fingertips in acetone for quite a while to remove the other layers.
After this stunning beauty I'm gonna drop my suggestion of the month: brides from around the world as a new series. I remember reading this article about all the different traditional costumes and the majority were purely stunning. With you skills level you'd totally nail it!

I was trying to think what you could use her original body for, and after racking my brain for a while I thought you could make a medusa doll, I know medusa's hair is the part made of snakes but I thought, why not her body be all scaly as well
There is a doll called Viperine Gorgon who has a scaley body too and she has snakes attached to her lower head, I'm thinking of turning my one into Queen Azshara from World of War craft

That golden doll gives me the idea that you could do a few gods and goddesses who have recognizable looks, like e.g. Ardhanarishvara. Or maybe Hermes or a Valkyrie or... so many possibilities.

I love her! Beautiful outfit and face up! I think her skin looks quite pinkish and white for an Indian woman but she's great anyways, especially the shoes look nice.
This doll is beautiful and she admits she doesn't know everything about the people. But yes, the skin is a little off. It would be cool to see someone with the skin of Irrfan Khan or darker and with some olive undertones. This would really make bright pinks, reds and yellows look Amazing.

She is beautiful as they all are. Just one suggestion about the worbla many of the cosplayers who use it make the surface smoother for painting by adding a couple of coats of wood glue. This makes the surface easier to paint. I realize this adds a couple of steps however the results are worth it. As I said just a suggestion do with it as you wish, and again she is beautiful. I really love watching your repaint videos.
you should do a series were you repaint famous female icons: frida kahlo, marie antoinette (a doll like that would be amazing), grace kelly, amy winehouse, princess diana, cleopatra, coco chanel, etc

Hey, an Indian here, you did a very accurate visually pleasing job here. Also, the bracelet is called churi (ch pronounced as in choker) it usually is worn by married women as a mark of their marriage.

@@Aegopodium sry to tell you but this is plain wrong (I am from Bavaria 🤗). Both Austria and Bavaria have the Dirndl as traditional dress and both originated as a kind of working dress in the 19th century. Just nowadays it has become the cheap halloween version because everyone around the world wants a piece of it 😂 (similar to the scottish kilt.)

I loove the details of this doll, but I think it could have been better with darker skin and more yellow/olive undertones that are so common in India.
I think since her inspiration was Bollywood films, the skin tone fits pretty well (skin lightening is a common practice amongst the actors and actresses)
We are pretty close to this dolls colour in many cases

Based on this week's theme it would be cool to see dolls from various countries/regions of the world with national dress, for example Scotland, New Zealand, Mexico, Turkey, or Greece. Other ideas are dolls from various eras like Marie-Antoinette, Anne Boleyn, Boudicca, Cleopatra, or Josephine Baker. It would be cool to see famous characters from films/books like Scarlett O'Hara, Princess Leia, Dorothy Gale, or Anna Karenina. Or for something more focused on unusual makeup, how about the popstars of the 80s like Boy George, Siouxsie Sioux, Adam Ant, Annie Lennox, or Grace Jones. All that said, there's no doubt in my mind that whichever theme you choose for next week's doll it will be amazing! Have a great weekend! :o)

Australian Aboriginal has a rich culture with lots of style & unique art. A doll with inspiration from that would be really interesting. It’s a very underdone concept
