No kidding! Considering all the dirty industry here on the Southeast Side and in Northwest Indiana, those things look excellent as if they operated on a railroad somewhere on the West Coast. Just the elements of the different weathers throughout the seasons, without taking into consideration the elements of industry, can have some pretty significant ware and tear on a unit's paint job.
Really? That's really surprising because you'd think that steel would be one of the few most commonly moved goods over there considering how close Gary is. I also haven't had much luck with catching the Short Line in a while too, but that surprises me because I've always thought one of the SC&IH's primarily handled materials was steel. I should already know that being that I grew up on the city's Southeast Side. I grew up seeing the Short Line fairly often. Unless this is just me early in the morning unable to think. LOL. But yeah, I've always thought that one of their primarily handled materials was steel.
I wonder is that leaser still switches by Cargill great shot by that Crossing. Great video
I always liked the CSL engines, thru the years working in the area they always seemed to keep those engines looking great, they always stood out.

I work at the lakefront in whiting, I haven’t seen any coil cars moving from there in quite some time now...

in the first shots looks like coalhour yard.railswitching service from amozo.
I'm guessing you filmed this sometime before 2012 given your uploading schedule 😂
Oh gosh no. This is from October 2016. Also too, there was no such thing as an SD70ACU back in 2012. 2011-2013/14 are the days of my worst videos.
That was meant as a joke, given that you typically upload clips from months ago.
Yup. LOL.
