Liz told you the town, but it is inside Grays Harbor. Several "groins" lined up. The best wave is the big jetty.. just outside the harbor. I think anyway, but the groins are a fun left. The wind can be relentless, lol..And surprisingly, no one looks at current charts and don't know what "slack water" is. Guess the ole guys aren't sharing anything with younger guys. Anyway... can be crowded, but now in December isn't too much. Ok, hope to see ya'. come on up and join us for January... get a good wetsuit.
@@OneDayCloserToHim Yea I just couldn't believe it was actually Westport, Washington. Those were nice waves. I've visited during summer and fall and even then the water is cold! The other drawback is the drive, but I miss going there so much. And you're right, the wind can be brutal at times, and consistent lol. Thanks, I wanna go back some day, and keep displaying my kookiness lol.
@@Roosyer Awesome!!! Come on back!! I am not one of those guys that worry about sharing the waves. Am over 70 and 5 or 6 waves a session is just plenty lol.. I will hoot and holler and get just as excited when someone else gets a nice wave now, as if I did.. nice thing about getting old... (;-} .. doesn't hurt to applaud others . (;-} I just went out a couple weeks ago at the jetty and there were never more than half a dozen guys out at any one time.. I had one peak mainly with one other person the whole time I was in the water. More guys at the groins, but the jetty was pumpin' and this time of year, seems to be a lot less folks. A good wetsuit for here is a 5.5/4 or 6/5/4mm... I have a hooded Patagonia 5.5/4mm and 3.5mm gloves and 5mm booties and I am actually toasty except for my face when having to go under the waves paddling out! All the best and Happy New Year! Take care!
Nice! Looks like a big day at the groins! That current is wicked too...
Nice edit
Thanks Daniel!
