So I doubt kaidou's devil fruit is the hito hito no mi. But hey, this is just a theory AN ANIME THEORY

Kaido being a mythical zoan that's the rarest df might give him immunity to weakness by sea. After all their powers are based on myth and legend so they're OP. Kaidos title as King of Beasts and Strongest Creature comes from the fact that his DF is literally the strongest creature in existence. Dragons have always been the strongest thing in both Western and eastern folklore. There's always at least one dragon (sculpture or painting) inside of any Japanese or Chinese temple. These guys were worshiped as gods. Look it up!

You seem to like the sub more but I can't help but be curious, a lot of the One Piece fan base seem to like it. At least from what I seen and heard. Plus that includes me, I think it's well dubbed and pretty damn good. I think it has quite the charm to it! Since the dub is coming back I can't help but be excited, I'm sure others would agree as well. My only problem with the dub is how far behind they are but I don't think that takes much away from the quality of the dub. As a long time One Piece fan I can't wait for them to get caught up. happy birthday kaido!!! my favorite of the emperors along with shanks and i'm really interested in the buildup for the fight with him as along with the scar given to him by oden a possible weakness to him may be in the oni's weakness in the story of momotaro which wano is a mix of with rurouni kenshin.(and i think the fight against him will be the start of/be the throne wars doflamingo predicted in his epic speech.:3)

I doubt Kaido is a dragon in near form cos then he would have to have eaten a human df and since Chopper ate the human fruit and is alive, there can't be another one in existence (unless maybe its artificial) but who would make a human fruit tho? This is speculation btw

I like the idea of his Dragon form being his normal state, like he wanted a devil fruit that turns him human just so he can have a challenge.
Random thought, but thinking about how we know the bounty of Big Mom and Kaido's commanders, I wonder if we'll ever find out the bounty of Shanks's top guys like Ben Beckman, Lucky Roo, and Yassop. There's honestly no real reason we should ever know them nor is it really neccessary, but it would be freaking cool. Maybe it would be a nice moment of pride for Ussop to find out his dad's bounty is something crazy high.

Before this video I never even thought about it but Kaido being originally a dragon makes very much sense to me and would also explain certain character points like his wish and unableness to die (maybe due to him being the last dragon left in the modern era) and the epithet strongest beast (!) on earth..

Since Kaido's debut many in the OP fandom rightly guessed him to be a dragon.... I'm thinking the only way to kill him is to look to mythology and see what can kill a dragon, specifically the type of dragon Kaido turns into.

Goodness, this video will be outdated quite soon once information on Kaido's ultimate goals and origins are revealed. Still though, I could take it or leave it with Kaido being an indestructible force to be feared and a general "chaotic evil" entity on the seas. Give me Katakuri's status as a lawful evil enemy/lawful neutral ally any day... speaking of which, we still have no confirmation that Katakuri, Daifuku, and Oven's father is intact Kaido, despite their monstrous strength and the dexterity they possess with their Devil Fruit powers.
