Their product does seem to work right away. I been having breathing issues since adulthood.... trim my nose hair weekly, no flowering indoor plants, no cig smoke. Their 5500-2 machine makes the air in the room thinner, easier to breathe than the air in the next room.
I don’t see why people get so concerned with PlasmaWave. I’ve been using it all the time and I never encountered any problems. In fact I think it’s better when it’s on! It makes the air smell rich and clean

My WINIX unit doesn't shut off the plasmawave. Since I got sensible airways it always (plasmawave On/Off) worsens my condition. Is there another reason with it. I have tried opening the windows and let it filter it plasmawave Off, but still worsens my condition.
There is a button on the front to turn the Plasmawave portion off. If you are running it in auto mode, it may turn itself on depending on air quality. I'd imagine you can override it, or just run the unit in manual mode. I'd suggest looking at the manual which explains all of the modes and features.
If you have a P150~300~450 series, to turn off plasmawave, hold down the 'auto' button for a few seconds until the 'plasmawave' symbol turns off, then the plasmawave function will be turned off.

This is just a voltage multiplier that produces negative ions. Used to make them when I was a kid - basically just using capacitors and resistors to increase the voltage and push it out through a thin needle. Used to be popular about 30 years ago.

HUMIDITY HAS MINERALS IN IT, THE MOLECULAR ACTION ACTUALY CLEANS THOSE HEAVY MINERALS AS IT SPLITS HUMIDITY. IT HAS SAVED ME, SEVERAL TIMES.

The reactions occur right near the outlet of the unit rather than dispersing into the entire room like ozone does - hydroxyls last for a split second.
