Shape is addictive. The first couple years of cutting my hair was about shape more than anything else. It’s the one thing I truly dislike about long hair. It’s the one thing I’ll trade long hair for one day. I’m slowly preparing my husband for this. Because it’s happening…
First of all, I just watched your Pattern Viedo from 1 YEAR AGO & fell in love with the Cut, the Honesty, the Natural video & OMG the honest!! I'm having issues with my hair drying out within an hour, but after watching only 1 video, I'm making some changes. I'm a short hair person, too. Thank you so much. You are truly inspiring for "the real" natural hair females. No Shade to anyone out there 😁
THE CUT IS EVERYTHING your curls are so juicy, your content literally gives me so much life. I'm so happy you're feeling so good! The summer flicks are gonna be stupendousssss!! I bet the coils look so exquisite in person can't wait for the next vid!~
Shelly V's newest cut is awesome. Your cut is BANGIN' on you! I love how quickly your hair started curling up from the bond liquid you applied. It was like magic watching it go from blown out back to its curly state. Can we talk about those coils?! They literally formed out of nowhere. I have to actually twist my hair into the coils/curls you naturally have (I'm a bit jealous). Simply gorgeous.
I’m a (TRUE) 4C girl and I shampoo 3x per week and rinse daily. Let me tell you my bald spots are growing back, my edges are thick and juicy, and the warm water I stand under daily in the shower helps ease my tension headaches. Oh, and the days I use conditioner as a ‘styler’ are my best WNG days.
See this right here 🫰🏾 you get it!! like my life has changed since I’ve rinsed my hair and scalp every single day. My scalp sensitivity has gone down, the itchiness has gone down, I feel like my hair is part of my lifestyle as opposed to my lifestyle being somewhat built around my hair. And it’s actually insane how much better my wash and go’s are with just conditioner/leave-ins and creams. I appreciate you sharing your experience as a true 4c girly 🫶🏾
I like the cut. It looked great on blown out hair too. Your skin was glowing in the beginning of the video and looked nice all throughout. I am still waiting on that skincare video.
I 100% agree with the every other day to daily styling. My hair just tangles up so much with gel and id just rather have clean and detangled hair vs the defined look. I also just moved to Texas so washes are fundamental during the summer😂👏🏽. I’m happy for you and your growth in your hair journey. Best wishes!
I’m very big on having a nicely shaped head of curls. Even now that I’m on my growth journey I still prioritize shape. Also, watching your hair go from stretched to coiled was so satisfying. Also, also, I love your cut it is beautiful on you.
Nothing like a crisp cut! You inspired me to try a leave in wash and go on my twa! I saw the redken all soft mega markets their leave in as a styler for curls and coils and I wanna try it! I don't know why I keep chasing long lasting coils when my hair is so short. I should be rinsing my hair everyday like you!
It’s so cute! I know you are bombarded with suggestions due to your scalp condition (which I also had) but a sustainable (for you) anti-inflammation diet helps a lot. I was able to get my scalp as well as my Psoriasis in order. Basically avoiding some starches and increasing probiotics in foods, reducing sugar intake and wine/alcohol (I still partake but maybe 2 days of the week). I’m no longer on medication scalp treatments etc.
I think you look terrific with short hair and you totally rock the new cut!! Somehow I just knew you were going to get it cut again….good decision…It’s You!! 🥰❤️
I have a similar cut (though my hair is rounder and a little longer than yours)! I have had long hair for the majority of my life (we are basically hair twins) and I will say, I LOVE this short hair journey. I have been doing my own hair for the majority of my life and feel the most comfortable in this stage. Not sure if I will ever grow it out😅 I think the shape brings out my features, makes me feel more beautiful, and I really enjoy wearing it out!
Your hair is so beautiful. I love how curly and defined it looks. Your shrinkage is incredible. We have had similar hair cuts. I cut my hair at the end of May. It is a bit longer than I want it so I’m also going to get the same taper I had in 2019. I also enjoy my hair short. It was a nice experiment for me to grow it out, but I find my shorter hair is so much fun.
It’s super cute!!! I’ve been addicted to mousse lately. My hair is getting long enough to where I have to work with it in sections, so it may be time for me to go a little bit shorter. I LOVE the maintenance on short hair. I’ve never done mine every day, usually just once a week, but I can certainly see the benefit in the health of your hair!
I keep my hair in a sharp short cut. I don't get the obsession w long hair. It can be very pretty, but never sharp. I hope that makes sense. You look GREAT 💕💚
It looks great. Have you considered using a hair spray since you're not using gel? When I saw you had a Bounce Curl product, I thought of their hair spray, You can use it after your hair has dried or you can use it to further set your curls. Just a suggestion if you wanted something with a little more hold but not a gel.
Goorrrlllll, I was waiting on this!! I clicked the thumbs up before even watching 😅 I’m sure I’m biased but low cuts are just IT! It just brings out that gorgeous face shape and jawline! (Lowkey hoping you grab some clippers and shave the rest 😂) I am livviinnggggg for this cut! You look AMAZING!
They really are IT! I don’t think I could rock the shaved look like you rocking it, imma feel naked 🤣🫶🏾 and ur still absolutely giving with it. thank you!!
OMG!!! Gorgeous!!! Love your hair!!! You are gorgeous!!! ❤❤❤ I’m ready to cut again!!!! I cut off three feet of hair three years ago. Since then, I’ve kept my hair ultra short; less than an inch. Now that it’s begun to grow out, I’m ready to cut again.
Hey there. Hope you are doing great. Have you ever tried styling your hair with just a butter? Or even a butter cream? I've been loving the look and feel of my hair using mango butter. I'm still working on my application though. ( how wet my hair should be, section 1st or just apply all over then smooth in sections? Etc)
I have. Years ago I used to only use butter and cream products, and when I wanted to try and get more definition I would dabble in custards, but with all of the product testing and experimenting I’ve done over the past three years, I’ve almost done a complete 360 back to mainly creams and even using conditioners as leave in again. I don’t use raw butters or anything like that but I do use formulated products because they have a lot of slip and in order for me to prevent single strand knots my hair needs to have slip 24/7 in every step of my regimen. I still like styling my hair on soaking wet hair personally. Even when I’m just using a conditioner as a styling product, I will section my hair in four sections and make sure that each section is heavily saturated in water and conditioner. if I style my hair all over at the same time it’s doable but it’s more prone to tangles and knotting, but that’s just me personally.
Bomb cut! ❤ Are you concerned about hygral fatigue with washing daily? I have a scalp condition as well and it’s hard to have protective styles or stretch out my wash days because of it.
You dont have to solely use the ketaconazole . To manage my dermatitis i rotate between dermarest, vanicream for dandruff shampoo, nizoral and my prescription ketaconzole all with an applicator tip though.
@@BrittanyMiaim sorry im just seeing this. The ketaconazole the doc prescribed doesnt feel drying to me but i just did alot pf research and got on reddit to see what others were using. Heb here in texas has a beauty sale so i picked up dermarest it wad like $7 bucks and i love it. I also get contact dermatitis and eczema and dermarest makes an ezema lotion that qorks really well but its under hyped. The dermarest uses salicylic acid to combat dandruff, the vanicream uses a different ingredient(forgot the name). To combat dandruff. I think rotating has kept my scalp healthy atleats thats what the dermatologist said. She said what i was doing would be the routine she recommended. I took the regular tops off the shampoo bottles and found some applicator bottled on amazon and the tops fit onto my dandruff shampoos.
@@BrittanyMiathe otc nizoral can be stripping. After using dandruff shampoo i use native peach nectar shampoo its moisturizing snd helps flatten the cuticles and i can finger detangle with it. I think it helps to gradually flatten the cuticles hen i use a rinse out conditioner. I use the native because fragrance is low on the ingredient list and hasn’t irritated my scalp. I use the not your mothers coconut kale conditioner again fragrance is towards the bottom and no irritation and ulta and wholefoods run it on sale
If the routine that I have now is conducive to long hair then yes. If it’s not, then probably not. I’ve fallen in love with my routine and the ease of it all. I may not keep getting it cut to this same length, but I’m not as focused on length as I once was. If anything, I’m focused on scalp health and proper moisture/protein balance. With health comes length so I’m excited to see where it goes from here.
Shape is addictive. The first couple years of cutting my hair was about shape more than anything else. It’s the one thing I truly dislike about long hair. It’s the one thing I’ll trade long hair for one day. I’m slowly preparing my husband for this. Because it’s happening…
I didn’t tell bae I was getting a haircut this week. Can you say “ shocked Pikachu face “. 😂
I am obsessed with having the proper shape on my short hair but my hair grows too quickly, so it doesn't work out for me.

I’m always envious of the women who have the nerve to look gorgeous with this length hair!

Oh I love a nice hair cut. I do this every 4 years but I’m giving myself a break. I’m meant to have short hair I think. It looks good on you!!
I am absolutely in love with short hair right now so I can see why you do this every four years. Thank you 💗

@@BrittanyMiaThanks and thank YOU for sharing. Cut looks great! Just what you need for the hot summer!!
@cmc2196 what shampoo do you use?
I like the cut. It looked great on blown out hair too. Your skin was glowing in the beginning of the video and looked nice all throughout. I am still waiting on that skincare video.
Hair is POPPING‼️
I love a good short haircut! I have so many women askingme who cut my hair! Shout out to those of us who rock our short natural cuts!❤

Omg Brittany 😍😍 this cut is gorgeous. It brings out your beautiful face and compliments your features so well
I’m here for the short curly hairstyles. Super cute. I’m going to cut mines too. I’m so tired of doing my hair.

It looks really good on you!!
I love this cut, your hair looks so healthy 😍..
So beautiful!! Do you let your hair air dry or do you put in under the dryer? What so you use for cowash?
I love this cut on you!!

Very flattering cut 🥰

The cut looks amazing!! 😍 did u use the Innersense products?
Your making my excited to get my hair shaped next month 🤗❤️
You look beautiful with your new haircut!
How is rhe product combo working for you , are you still loving it or using something different?
I’m still loving it. It’s a staple combo of mine. Working on a video that will have updates here soon.
Nice cut! I got a similar cut back in November. It didn’t last long though. It’s really growing since my cut.
Omg I absolutely love your hair. I wanna cut mines so bad. But scared to. It looks so good
I love this look!!!
Bomb cut! ❤ Are you concerned about hygral fatigue with washing daily? I have a scalp condition as well and it’s hard to have protective styles or stretch out my wash days because of it.
How long have you been using innersence. After a while I noticed extreme tangling and dryness some time after trims.
Such a great cut 🤩🤩🤩
You don’t think you’re starting the same regimen that spilt your hair shafts ? The mechanical damage.
Do you mean brushing?
Sooooooo cute! Bout time for me to cut mine
