I tought it was this but since Darlene confirmed (and Elliot is not credible) i let it go But when Elliot said he told her to hide in the closet from their dad, it hit me
Remember when Elliot got beat up by those guys he had to set up the illegal website for in season 2 (when he was in prison) and how later he woke up and Mr. Robot was there and told him he was just trying to take the punches for Elliot so he wouldn't feel the pain? Just had to think about that.

Have to say I really enjoyed this episode. Fantastic performances from the three main people in the room, the artistic play style, amazing camera work, and a twist I never saw coming, despite all the clues dropped throught the series.
"I'll just tell you about this madman stuff that happened to me around last Christmas just before I got pretty run-down and had to come out here and take it easy. " -- Holden Caulfield, The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger. Maybe the whole series will end with Elliot chilling out somewhere, taking it easy.
Hectic episode, me and my brother been watching this from the start and did not see that coming at all! From memory because I haven't rewatched any seasons, his dad always seemed so nice in all the flashbacks of him with his father. Super dark, so sad there is only two more episodes to go :( Great video man!
Yeah we go to see him in Elliot's memories. Mr Robot took over every time he got molested though much like the beating we see in the 2nd or 3rd season which foreshadowed this. That's some tough storytelling tbh.
Is it possible that the same happened to Darlene and she had the same bad experiences since she once said "I wish I could remember him more?" Did she also forget?
Brooo I'm typing this in the first 10 seconds of the video I'm so excited and I was waiting for your review the whole week to me you're a part of the show please drop more videos
As a psychologist myself it wasn't the revealing of the abused what shocked me... Like I KNEW that window event was the first time Mr robot appeared, I KNEW he appears only when Elliot needs protection... So I KNEW there was some kind of trauma in that specific event and possibly happening from before... I knew sexual molestation was a possibility... I just didn't want it to be true... So I wasn't shocked, I was just sad... I felt what Krista felt... Fucking Edward...
One of the most amazing pieces of TV ever! Superb Emmy worthy (no brainer) acting by Rami and all. Crazy good cinematography and sound. STANDING OVATION. Yes we got broken along with Elliot and it was GUT wrenching. so so sad. but incredible. My fave show!!!!!!!
In 1 season when elliot is under the effects of morphine angela appears in his allusion he says to him: you are not going to change the world and it does not surprise me, you were just born and it was when he began to see the robot mr, maybe when they tell him the truth of his father he reboots again
I really need a summary video that summarizes all the seasons in one neat video. I'm pretty confused right now. But what a great fucking episode. One of the most complex TV I've watched. The cinematography (the shot where we find out Vera has Krista tied up in the adjacent room, ooof what a take), the score, and nailed on acts via Vera and Elliot.
If she exist. Elliot said his dad was his only friend. He may have created Darlene to cope with his loneliness and terrible abuse just as he created mr robot. A lot of children has invisible friends. We never seen her in any family photos.
Paul Lannister that would be crazy but also I think it would be jumping the shark considering all the twists that have happened so far and how much screen time she has had
@@JeanCarloms it's not the same. Only us see mr.robot as someone physically different to elliot but the others in the show still see elliot. First season when the group thought that everything was done by elliot bc they saw elliot talking to them, thats why i said darlene exist. And also really guys just think about Dom and darlene and also when darlene was caught by fbi...
I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH. the distinction between Elliot's dad and Mr. Robot is beautiful. Elliot's idea of his dad, as time passed, seemed to merge with his idea of Mr. Robot. But it wasn't true. He created Mr. Robot because he wanted/needed a friend, a protector from a dad who was supposed to be those things, but wasn't.
I can relate a bit too well to this episode, and I can say that I've met a lot of "crazies", or people who do VERY bad things because they were abused, molested, or born into this world without something that "everyone else has", and/or that they believe "the world owes them". BUT, even though I remember everything as clear as if it was yesterday, as in comparison, and even though it "haunts" me every day, I would think like to think that you don't HAVE to be like Vera, however logical it seems to just "don't care about other people". I may have sidetracked a bit, but it's "a tad" tricky to talk, much less write about, and I am the only one in my little circle of people who have known me my whole life, who knows anything, so I can never tell them anything, as they might not believe me(since it's been some 25+ years ago, and the person/persons would NEVER do it to anyone else), aswell as it will shatter this image people have...
Keep in mind that eliot might have a 3rd person beside mr.robot... they talked about it on episode 2 of season 4 i guess.. there are still more secrets out there
....... I wouldn't even blame him for ending it all at this point. I HATE HATE HATE the idea of suicide and I still couldn't bring myself to blame Elliott at this point. I have seen Edward's and Elliott's relationship before this episode as something to strive for with my own daughter (Mostly because we only see Elliott's warped perception of it). I feel like I just lost my role model. It's easy to want to believe it was just an act because we don't want to believe its true, but it is true. Now Mr. Robot is NOT Edward, I know that, but how do you not question everything at this point? For instance when Mr. Robot is reveled as Elliott's father and he tells Elliott "They are going to try to tear us apart...I'll never leave you" Is this a threat to Elliott's psyche? That he can never lose the shadow of his father over him? Can Elliott go on with this shit in his head? Will he try to forget again? Amazing review as always!! Thank you for continuing these reviews of Mr. Robot. Please keep up the great work!!
Mr. Robot def can’t be gone for good. Alters don’t just go poof like that. He also is likely to show up during Elliot’s upcoming meeting with WR ( images.app.goo.gl/4aGHFSQfb4ueeFb99 ). Regardless, this is definitely gonna change Elliot’s DID system dynamics as we already see a Young Elliot alter in the preview for the next episode. I wonder how this alter will impact things and whether or not we’re close to the reveal of “the other one”.
What if Elliot and Krista made up this story to break Vera. Krista quickly recognized Vera's childhood trauma. That was their only way out. However, all of Elliot's emotions and Mr. Robot's behavior prove this theory wrong. Also as u said - it all makes sense.
yeah it could have been "theatrics" in the beginning as this was made to be like a stage play after all with the fake loud thunder and lightning like they do behind the stage in a play but maybe it turned real after that and it was 100% true. i doubt you can fake pain like Rami did there......
yea im conflicted on this too example of him being a bad actor is sam sepiol so he wouldnt pull some big shit like this off under pressure to make vera believe it
Mr robot didn't employ any memory Look it as mr robot just have eliote bad times That"s why he can't remember the bad side of his father he just remember the times his father look normal Now his mom he remember bad part about her so mostl likely nothing sooo bad is hidden ...
i loved this episode. i did not like the plot point it delivered. Since the 90s it has been known that most pedophiles were molested themselves. that could mean there was a nefarious reason Elliot was even aware of that pedo site from season 1. Also any interactions between him and his pseudodad seem at least just a little awkward, they even had to say it in the show. "I'm not the dad that hurt you, i'm the one you created to erase that memory"
Anyone else getting the feeling that they are trying to establish Eliot as a profit? That whole bit about how his third personality came out when talking to tyrell. It’s his third personality that made tyrell believe in something greater. He turned a completely amoral man pious in an instant. Plus tyrell more or less ascends in his final moments. Mr. Robot comes to Eliot to save him from a horrific trauma and turn his pain into something largely positive.
I’m pretty sure in season 1 Mr Robot refers to Elliot as FSocietys prophet, and all of season 2 they allude to Mr Robot being his God. He even gets shot (dies) and comes back. They’re pretty clearly drawing parallels to him being a messiah figure, and the fact that this whole season is around the birthday of Jesus isn’t a coincidence either.
This is a great video with a lot of explainations and important scenes from the previoes seasons. Thank you for wrapping this up for the fans :) I have a question: From which episode is the scene at minute 5:38 of the video, where young Elliot is with Edward in the car and is beaten?
That scene is from "eps2.4-m4ster-s1ave.aes" episode. The 6th episode of 2nd season. It starts in 44:10. Little Elliot is beaten becouse he fought with someone from his school. They are going to give a name to Edward's new store. "Mr Robot"
I really don't wanna sound like a smart-ass/know-it-all kinda guy but I can't be the only one who saw this coming right? the foreshadow was there from the begining of the show: Mr. Robot taking the form of his dad (the person who was supposed to protect him), Elliot hiding Darlene in the closet (why? there was no reason unless he saw his dad as a threat), having almost no memories from his childhood, being socially anxious, + unable to form normal relationships (especially romantic ones), always hacking and taking down pedophiles, etc... Like the signs were there, i'm just surprised it took them this long to reaveal the truth. PD: This is by far my favorite episode on the entire show like the acting, the delivery of it all was beatiful it made me cry tbh
Mr robot personality didnt push elliot out the window, Mr robot was born when* he hit the ground. Why Mr robot always wants to protect him is because of this moment. Elliot irratic moments are the child altar personality taking over.
I won't shit on you for it because I know it was a different time a few years ago, but I do just want to point out that Whiterose is one of the best examples of trans representation in media and if Elliot and everyone else can respect her pronouns then you should be able to as well. Otherwise, excellent analysis of an incredible climactic moment
In one way, if you know a bit about DID it isn't such a big reveal, but this is fiction, so … though props to them for terrible accuracy, and props to you for bothering to look it up as well.
Mr.robot said to Elliot (S1E09) at the graveyard:this time I will never leave you no matter anyone tries to do,and Krista told Elliot his already taken the treatment for a year,so some thing must happen, make Elliot forget Mr.robot and even his sister.
Mr. Robot pushed Elliot out of the window to protect him. This was the first time Elliot noticed him and confused him for his dad pushing him out of the window.

This series is so well thought out. The pace and structure are amazing. We see everything in a new light. It all makes more sense now.
The acting was just out of this world. Amazing. Brillant. One of the greatest ever.
This is a really good video showing the past
I tought it was this but since Darlene confirmed (and Elliot is not credible) i let it go
But when Elliot said he told her to hide in the closet from their dad, it hit me
Remember when Elliot got beat up by those guys he had to set up the illegal website for in season 2 (when he was in prison) and how later he woke up and Mr. Robot was there and told him he was just trying to take the punches for Elliot so he wouldn't feel the pain? Just had to think about that.
I love your point of view! These reviews are great. I missed here a shot of the snowman at the metro, when Darlene and Elliot talk about their recently dead mother. What a show!
7:30 There are some things You Can't Forgive.
This Episode Hit Me Harder then I thought
Oh so Mr. Robot took over Elliot body and said "no" when Edward asks for forgiveness!
Bc edward was apologizing for molesting him right?
The role series is constructed around a lot of its plot twists and this one was the saddest one. But there was evidence of that too.
I love Catcher in the rye ^-^
Nicely told man! Unarguably one of the best episode of this series ! ❤️
Man! On point! I'm not even mad that it takes a while for you to post a video. Worth the wait!
agrees. its all about the QUALITY not the timeliness. early is lazy and just for clicks.
Not going to lie but I’ve been waiting for you to post a video on this episode!
same
me too
we ALL have as this is one of the best Mr. Robot recap YT channels for sure.
Hectic episode, me and my brother been watching this from the start and did not see that coming at all!
From memory because I haven't rewatched any seasons, his dad always seemed so nice in all the flashbacks of him with his father.
Super dark, so sad there is only two more episodes to go :(
Great video man!
420th like (redpilled_blaze.it.fg)
Yeah we go to see him in Elliot's memories. Mr Robot took over every time he got molested though much like the beating we see in the 2nd or 3rd season which foreshadowed this. That's some tough storytelling tbh.
you are one of the only youtubers i know who is talking about mr robot s4 right now, youre doing gods work, thank you.
Vera is a bad man, but that scene with Elliot was... breathe taking. Made me cry
Is it possible that the same happened to Darlene and she had the same bad experiences since she once said "I wish I could remember him more?" Did she also forget?
Good question. Sadly I also don’t have the answer either.
Brooo I'm typing this in the first 10 seconds of the video I'm so excited and I was waiting for your review the whole week
to me you're a part of the show please drop more videos
Duck I actually started to like that guy then he got it in the back that was cold
I guess you didn’t watch S1
I felt the same until I remembered it was Vera's plan to break Elli in order to own him.
Immediately after this episode ended and I stopped crying, I finally understood the movie theatre scene.
Congrats
Why couldn’t this show get more recognition its certainly the greatest masterpiece in cenimatic history
It's a great show but you're overrating it. Vera's character alone is inconsistent and anticlimactic.
Thanks for laying out the timeline at the end. That is really helpful
Mr. Robot will be back, I think to help save Elliot from his third personality which will be unstable.
Song at 2:19: “Renegades”by the X Ambassadors.
Kinda late, but answer is here.
Great analysis! Thank you Blackie Xan!
I keep enjoying these. Thanks.
Darlene also said that she misses her dad as well, so I’m curious if they’ll bring that up again
@@notsureiL i think she exist i mean she interacted with others and also dom asking darlene wheres elliot means that She's not elliot
Nagasaki 667 so does Mr Robot. Or used to, at least before we knew about his existence being a fruit of Elliot’s mind. So we never know... lol
Love your reviews! Love the show! Thanks man!
YES! AN UPLOAD
Been waiting for you to release a video
I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH. the distinction between Elliot's dad and Mr. Robot is beautiful. Elliot's idea of his dad, as time passed, seemed to merge with his idea of Mr. Robot. But it wasn't true. He created Mr. Robot because he wanted/needed a friend, a protector from a dad who was supposed to be those things, but wasn't.
Maybe the third personality is him as a kid? In the promo of the next episode we see him walk around with his younger self.
I truly think, that was the best acting I have ever seen. I felt that on such a visceral level
A very good and detailed analysis! Such a brilliant show!
Please continue making videos!❤️
I thought this was just going to be another shallow generic RUclips analysis video...but you’re insightful bro keep up the good work 👍🏼
This episode took the darkest turn in the whole series i was like wtf..
Yo you look like the shooter friend of Eliot who also shows up in the season 4
Ujjval AKA THE *B.A.A.P* • 3 years ago joey badass?
I am going to miss Mr. Robot (the series)!
Keep in mind that eliot might have a 3rd person beside mr.robot... they talked about it on episode 2 of season 4 i guess.. there are still more secrets out there
Great vid man puts everything into perspective......keeps making vids just subbed😈😈😈😈
that ep was so good and heart wrenching.
It Hurts doesn't It ? When You find out The Truth after 30 Years
Also the preview for next week’s ep
yea im conflicted on this too
example of him being a bad actor is sam sepiol so he wouldnt pull some big shit like this off under pressure to make vera believe it
Yep this. The illusion is still up for Mr Robot he didnt leave he just allowed Elliot to believe another lie
@@LifesMike That's right! Maybe Krista worked only with mr. Robot to save their asses, not Elliot
In season 3 we hated mr. Robot and in season 4 we loved him more than Elliott
What a quality content
How is this guy have such low number of subscriber?
You deserve in millions❤
3:08 All my eyes were caught by his shiny shoes 😂
Great video! Thanks a lottt
that Episode hit me so hard. Mr Robot is the best show by far. the show got better by every season, which is hard thing to accomplish.
If Elliots Dad was bad, was his Mum bad too? Or was it all false memories employed by Mr Robot?
Mr robot didn't employ any memory
Look it as mr robot just have eliote bad times
That"s why he can't remember the bad side of his father he just remember the times his father look normal
Now his mom he remember bad part about her so mostl likely nothing sooo bad is hidden ...
i loved this episode. i did not like the plot point it delivered.
Why does this series bring me so many triggers? This was the first series/movie that has ever made me cry.
Father, Son, Holy Ghost/Spirit?
I’m pretty sure in season 1 Mr Robot refers to Elliot as FSocietys prophet, and all of season 2 they allude to Mr Robot being his God. He even gets shot (dies) and comes back. They’re pretty clearly drawing parallels to him being a messiah figure, and the fact that this whole season is around the birthday of Jesus isn’t a coincidence either.
@@jamesbell1186 yup gotta play a part somehow
This is a great video with a lot of explainations and important scenes from the previoes seasons. Thank you for wrapping this up for the fans :)
I have a question: From which episode is the scene at minute 5:38 of the video, where young Elliot is with Edward in the car and is beaten?
Mr Blackie Xan, you are good at this. With time, probably as good as Elliot is at hacking. I will suscribe.
This is the reason why Darlene loves Elliott so much. She's seen her bro touched in the private parts and knows Elliott is abused.
It doesn’t get any better than that
Elliot, you weren’t punched, I was hitting you.👊🏻😝😜
This show is amazing...I was sobbing like a baby😥😥😥
Thankyou
Mr robot personality didnt push elliot out the window, Mr robot was born when* he hit the ground. Why Mr robot always wants to protect him is because of this moment. Elliot irratic moments are the child altar personality taking over.
I was fucking screaming when that twist happened that’s a twist I never would’ve seen coming
Elliott forgot to take the kid to martian
In one way, if you know a bit about DID it isn't such a big reveal, but this is fiction, so … though props to them for terrible accuracy, and props to you for bothering to look it up as well.
Me robot is the greatest tv show I’ve ever watched. Never been so sucked into a series like this.
Mr.robot said to Elliot (S1E09) at the graveyard:this time I will never leave you no matter anyone tries to do,and Krista told Elliot his already taken the treatment for a year,so some thing must happen, make Elliot forget Mr.robot and even his sister.
Tell me one reason why you guys like depression shows , it just make you worse
Ozymandias is the greatest episode in tv history... but this might top it. Best episode of whole show! then it went downhill
Whats the piano playing throught out this video?
What took you so long. Been waiting for ur review on this one. gj as always
