I just bought the Delta Max 2000 and extra battery too. I did some testing on our fridge (a bigger one with side by side doors) with just the Delta Max 2000. After 6 hrs (with myself & family members opening the fridge & freezer doors many times) the battery was down to 75%, so that means the Delta Max 2000 by itself would power our fridge for roughly 24 hrs, or about 48 hrs with the extra battery. I also bought the Delta Max 1600 for our basement 5 cu ft chest freezer & sump pump. The Delta Max 1600 was down to 50% after 17 hrs from running just the chest freezer, so it will run the freezer for about 34 hrs (probably 40+ hrs if I reduce the temperature coldness dial from 8 to 5 or 6).
My honda eu2000 generator is 11 years old and will run 12 hours on a gallon of gas probably more on eco mode. For the cost of this setup one could buy a new honda eu2200 2200 watts and with the cash saved from not buying this set up you could afford to pay for enough gas to power the refrigerator for 395 days. These batteries won't be working in 11 years.
OK, say you run your generator for 12 hours, where are you going to store 395 gallons of gas? Do you really think it would last several years with daily usage? What are you going to do when the gas stations quit working? This isn't meant to be the most cost efficient, just an option. I have the Delta Max for solar, then a gasoline/propane generator. No system is perfect, I like knowing that I won't run out of energy, even if computers or massive power outages shut down the gas stations. Just some things to think about.
@@mosilver1572 Exactly. I get his point on cost but in a real world situation storing that much gas is impractical and dangerous. But let's say someone could. If a need to put back that much fuel is needed it must mean that you expect your city to be off grid for a year. If that's the case good luck with protecting your stockpile as they'll likely be dozens of people wandering around looking for resources. The noise from that Honda eu2200 would lead them right to you unless you live in a remote location. But if you didn't remember to also stock up on oil for it then it won't matter...
Your gas generator is a redundancy. IF we were to lose even fuel itsself due to a blackout you use this gen primarily. Then when no sun use the gas gen to charge it. You've increased longevity of your fuel reserves by 2 or even 4 times. U dig brotha?
@@CH-eg5rd We lost the grid for 47 hours in the August 2020 heat wave. Some guy was running his construction site generator all day and night one block over, never shutting it down and probably refueling while it was running. At 3AM, It sounded a bit different. Then it clattered like hell and stopped. I'll bet he threw a rod, low on oil. It never ran again. I was on batteries the whole time.
There is no perfect solution. These units have lots of electronics. While I don't believe in EMP's per say. I do believe anything that uses bluetooth or can be remotely controlled it can be shut down remotely. ( and blame Russia of course lol ) Low tech might be key in a serious power outage situation. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I got my delta max and the test on my house fridge was great. After 21 hours I had 42% left. I was impressed. I will mine only took about 92-98 watts at a time. I use 200w solar for about 6 hours.
I was hoping it was like your last video where you try too recharge with solar wile you use it. 75.5 hours with no external charge is amazing. Just wondering how long you can go with the solar. There are lots of very professional video out there showing specks but no one showing real life use thanks!
I have more testing coming but I appreciate your comment and thank you so much for watching
Hello,
Thanks for this information.
Being new to this type of equipment im curious if when first plugging the max into the battery than to a wall socket for charging if the units should be in off position to start with?
Hi Kellie ! Thanks for watching our video and I sure hope you subscribed now to answer your question I would recommend when you were connecting the battery to the unit and connecting everything to the wall to get charged leave it on the off position, but don’t be surprised if you plug the battery into the max and it turns on that’s OK don’t worry about that. Also, keep in mind you can charge this via solar and that would be free. Do you wanna make sure you get the right SolarPanels, too, though you can get the wrong ones and cause some damage. Again, thanks for watching the video. I hope to see you again.
so you could unhook the second battery when it gets low, hook it to the car charger or solar panel for a while and boost it back to 100% and keep running the fridge indefinitely, right?
Hi no the batteries don’t have that option. But you can connect them to a smart generator here is a video ruclips.net/video/onALnTDT7YE/видео.htmlsi=k2-JoPzG1v74Nf6T
Hello
I want to power my full size fridge, and two full size freezers with a unit like this set up - is this set up enough, or do I need an additional battery?
While it is powering them, I want them to also be attached to solar panels in my yard or driveway.
Or
Would it be better to buy two of these units and then as one dies, have the other charging via solar, and rotate them? That would assume one unit with the extra battery would be enough for all free appliances.
It is very important to me bc my wife has food allergies and I want to make sure I keep her food available during a multi day emergency.
My house is wired for my back up generac 8000 watt portable generator but during a serious emergency I won’t have access to extra gasoline so I really want the solar set up (not roof solar panels - the ones that ecoflow sells with these delta max units). Is there a way to hook this units to the generator plug for my whole house?
Thank you
Check this video out, you might want to get the delta pro
It has a larger battery that will last years longer and it’s more expandable
ruclips.net/video/aMDMQ1qP7Yw/видео.html
Love EcoFlow products, but the extra battery cannot be used independently from the main unit. For a little more cost you could get another Delta Max and use it somewhere else in the house.
Agree with you on the. The extra battery is almost as much as the unit itself. I would rather just by 2 max instead..
I need 2 freezers and a refrigerator for as much 1 week.
Did you sing the song. “ i got the power” lol
Lol hell yeah bro 👍🏻
Thanks for the demo and info, this is awesome. Have a great day
Thanks Chris much appreciated
Okay, in the key features number #4 you stated many different ways the delta Max battery can be charge, but how about the extra Max battery? how to charge it, can it be charge from outside source aside from connecting it to Delta Max unit?
That’s an easy answer, a product that launched after the max, here is your answer and demonstration
ruclips.net/video/onALnTDT7YE/видео.html
Great! Thank you so much for the answer. Thanks for replying... Oooh that was a quick one =)
This is one awesome video. Thanks for showing the true power of the Delta Max.
Thank you for watching hope you stay with us
I am concerned about the app. Can you do everything you need to, to change the settings without the app? My concern is an EMP or a grid down situation. If there is no way for me to use the app, can I still change settings on the Delta Max? Thank you for your videos, it was great!
No control without the app but you can still use the power of the unit, turn it on, turn it off but you won't be able to update the delta max. What about if you could control it without the internet? Maybe by Bluetooth would that help?
@Tech Made Easy that is disappointing. I am not sure if bluetooth would work if all the grid was down, including wifi and the internet....I am not sure how it works. But it is probably better to assume it wouldn't work and I should plan for it. I suppose I could put it to the best settings and hope I never have to change it. Thank you for replying, it was a pretty important question for me. I assume the bluetti is similar. Those were the two I am debating between but maybe I need to throw in the Pecron as well. I have been going back and forth since December. They are a lot of money, I think that is why it is so hard to make the decision. I am not techy, just a single mom and I have no idea what to do. So I really appreciate videos like yours, they are so helpful.
Bluetooth doesn’t require the Internet and as long as a device has Bluetooth you can control it remotely within 20 feet around there. The bottom line is if you’re just looking for a power back up solution as long as the device is charged using solar or any other means he can help when your power is out.
thx a lot
Most helpful demonstration. I have been watching all the videos. Yours made me decide to buy this unit. Thank you! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎯
Thank you for taking the time to post a note we really appreciate it stay in touch
Great content... Thanks a lot.
Thanks Kama
I really love how the LCD display accurately tells you how much power and how much time is left in the power station.
Thank you for watching
Stop saying "GUESS WHAT?" (LOL)
Great video. I have the Delta Max 2000 and this gave me a good idea on what to expect if I have to use it. So far, I haven't had to. I should get an extra battery for it just to increase the capability. I also have the Delta 1300. It is also a great unit. Could probably use it to power lesser things, or even my 2nd refrigerator. Plus, I still have my Westinghouse dual fuel generator which I could use to recharge my Delta and Delta Max, if there's not any sun light for solar charging.
The extra battery is on sale for $1099 at Home Depot right now. Get one at that price while you still can!
Wish it had LFP batteries.
Probably coming at some point
where can you park a 1$25,000 vanlife
nice job with the video, but a fridge that doesn't have to be opened doesn't need power as long as it stays cold and can stay cold for 5 days. yep i've done it. still great video. photovoltaic / solar thermal technician here I Approve this video 👍
ecoflow needs to update their product ,.. no watts in no watts out? then it should not show any hours?
$3,700 is a lot of money to run a refrigerator I will stick with a generator that way I can whole house those Delta's are neat but there is still not a replacement for generators when the power goes off nice video though
Cubic ft of fridge?
21.1
👀, GREAT VID!! IMAGINE IF YOU HAD SOME SOLAR PANALS HOOKED UP AS WELL ✊🏾
That was a good worthwhile test. Puts a good perspective on what one receives for the money. Just not very practical at that cost. If I had an application where I couldn't get my generator or had to run an excessively long extension card it would be worth considering..
Hey I’m sure you realize this about the extreme technology but the real power there is not just to charge your devices quicker but think about a used case like this. In California they have rolling blackouts sometimes and they’ll only give you maybe one or two hours of electricity before they shut the electricity off for three or four hours. It’s very important to capture as much power as you can in that 1 to 2 hours. So as you can see a device like this would be able to almost fully recharge in an hour and certainly be able to recharge completely in two hours. That’s the true power of a device like this where if you had another battery or solar generator razor called you could only obtain maybe 25 to 50% charge over a two hour period.
Thanks Joe definitely can help
After watching the video. I think I'll be upgrading my River Pro to the Delta Max.
Definite bug difference, thanks for watching
I know that the Delta Max has no problem powering portable refrigerators but in this video I am very dazzled with it.
Thanks for watching
Does the display turn off.. I see you turning it on every time you want to check the %??
It can be set on the app which is nice. I don’t leave it on long, it’s set to turn off after 1min
Thanks
Thank you
Can a single 400 watts be enough to run the delta 2max and a fridge for a whole day and night without a battery or can u help me with the set up thank you
Like I said early 2 160w will help and be better than the 1 400w and cost less.
I can't guarantee anything else, sun, angle, how long it will run. Sorry
Because they use so little power, good camping style refrigerator supposedly can run forever off the solar generator. But this is still an awesome test tho.
I would like to have seen this with the panels connected like your last video. Probably could go for weeks!
Agree definitely would have gone longer thanks Guys 👍🏻
I have an EcoFlow Delta Max with 2 smart batteries. It keeps the full size fridge and chest freezer charged for 2.5 days. My Delta Max died after that though. I'm trying to get a replacement. I also have Honda generators on backorder which are for charging the EcoFlow on non-sunny days.
It's pretty cool and works well
New subscriber. Good prezentation.👍
Hello
How to recharge both i mean the Max and the extra battery are connected then plugged in to wall ac outlet ??
Yes, the battery gets connected to the max and then the Max gets connected to the AC outlet or a car charger or solar
@@TechMadeEzy Hello i have a question? I just got the Max 2000 and the extra battery but they are not lifepo4 battery inside so i am curious that how to maintain them to give me higher cycles and use it for years i think they take 800 cycles but lifepo4 takes 3000 what do you recommend. I like your videos you review very well specially with the refrigerator you test .
@kabulsmartview8513 hi thanks for your comment I appreciate that. My recommendation in most cases try to discharge no more than 20% and try not to charge more than 80% most of the time. If you need to, do a 10% to 90% from time to time.
Also follow the maintenance instructions in the manual if not they can void your warranty. Now this doesn’t mean that you can never charge it to 100% every so often but make that very rare and also make sure you don’t let it sit at 100% or at 0% for any long. Period it’s not good for the battery. Again, check the manual for the maintenance instructions. Hope that helps
@@TechMadeEzy Thank you so much for your info. If i use it like UPS means i connect to wall ac outlet of course it stands 100% charged or i connect to solar use it pass through charge so is it good for the health of battery??
@kabulsmartview8513
If the unit is on 24/7 in any manner I personally don’t think that’s good but I’ve never needed the ups function so I just don’t know. Check with EcoFlow on that one.
Appreciate it dude! I've been looking at the Renogy Lycan but then found the Deltamax PRO and am now leaning towards it due to price, first but also it's got a 30amp port, expandable, etc. I like these better due to portability. Can use both with my travel trailer as well at home. The Lycan is 200# so nope!
Glad this could help in some way, yes the Delta Pro has the 30a 👍🏻
Probably made in china
What a fantastic video thank you from the UK, I was looking for a power supply for my boat, I had already watched other reviews but yours tipped the balance, so informative, will definitely subscribe and thumbs up!
Thanks
There is another way deep cell batteries, xt60-Cable and alligator clamp battery connectors,There’s a guy on RUclips who has a demonstration.HMP.
Thanks for sharing
Now I need to rewatch your comparison between the Delta Max and the EGO Power Station. 🤔
1. If we are family now, Am I getting invited over for thanksgiving? 2. If you have more than 1 thing, or a lot of things plugged in, and causes the xboost to kick off, it will use the xboost on EVERY device plugged into the max, you may not want that to happen... xboost gets tricky on these big devices with big inverters..on the smaller units you probably only have one thing plugged in.....but these bigger units....you are more apt to have many things plugged in... and if xboost kicks, it will undervolt everything.
Lol Chris thanks (fam) when Nov rolls around let's talk bro
@@TechMadeEzy i sure will! We can do a video together :)
Hi, this is my first time with a power generator. I have the two but can i charge them together and are there any special rules I should consider & what if I don't want to use the app at all? Ive been searching & can not find any info.
Hi Kellie you don’t have to use the app, but keep in mind when you use the app you can update the firmware as the company becomes aware of maybe some small things they need to fix. They basically send firmware updates and you can do that using the app. Don’t forget you can use the app on most tablets. Also, it doesn’t have to be a smart phone and you can be on Wi-Fi to do that. Your last question I believe we talked about in your last post but yes, you can charge them both at the same time you would plug the battery into the max and then you can charge them both at the same time don’t forget about solar.
Thank you so much. I did get the two echflow 400 w just waiting for some sunshine.
I am however having trouble setting it up in tve app. I would like to use the app but it doesn't seem to be working right even though It says its connected.
I've also registeted the first 3 devices but it says they have to verify authenticity.
@kelliedawn9229 I would contact the company and just ask them
Were there any connector accessories require to adapt to your fridge plug? Or was it s standard NEMA 5-15/5-20 and fit directly into the unit?
Your normal AC plug, the delta max has 6, here is our review on the max if you have time
ruclips.net/video/x-TAfKVy6aA/видео.html
@@TechMadeEzy Excellent, thank you!
Now this is the type of review and info I need Thank you Awesome work !!!
Thank you
Isn't it hard on the battery if you go passed 50% charge like most batteries?
These batteries are made to be used, when storing it’s recommended to store around 50%, if transporting probably 30%.
Is the only way to to operate and set the Max through an app? Dose the app Have to receive a signal to communicate with the Max ? Are there any frequencies or surges that can disrupt or alter settings ( Power On-Off) . Are you Guy working on an external Plug in device or display ( As A Safety Precaution ) If Phone Is Lost While camping or traveling Or if one wishes not to use a phone?
That would be a Delta pro
ruclips.net/video/Apt_dmG7JsU/видео.html
Would 175w Renogy Solar Panels work with this or are the amps too much?
When you get a chance just check the specifications
On the max for solar, just stay under them
us.ecoflow.com/products/delta-max-portable-power-station?variant=39435795988553
Nice video but I don't think you had to drain your battery all the way down to prove your point. I'm told its not good to let your lithiums go down that far. I never let mine go beyond 50% charge.
Hi Phil Normally you wouldn’t want to drain all the way down but doing this a few times isn’t going to damage the battery,
One question in the 1st delta test with fridge. it was pulling about 40 watts..so is the a different fridge . as the Watts into fridge was all over place
Same, range is around 40-45 with surge around 140 / 150
You sound exactly like Howard Stern.
I wish I had his money 😎
Thank you for the video. Do you have a video on the same test with them plugged into the solar panels? ALSO Would a person be better off buying two of the Delta Max and not the battery, would have a back up if one broke? Guessing as they are made in China may not be many parts in the future? Lastly service if one breaks, do you have any info for repairs? Thank you
Thanks much appreciated
If you want one that would last longer I would recommend a Delta pro it has way more charge life cycles, ECOFlow would be who you contact for any repair, they recommend keeping the box and any foam etc. Here is some info
Delta max 800 cycles then it goes to 80% after that
ecoflow.com/products/delta-max-portable-power-station?variant=39435795988553
Delta pro 6,500 cycles then it goes to 50%

@@TechMadeEzy Thank you,,,, any info etc for solar panels for the PRO ?? I want to buy the PRO but with no solar panels find it kind of worthless in the case of no power?
I’d check out the Ecoflow 400w coming out soon or the Bluetti 350w that are just coming out. You can also pick up some 200w panels also rich solar, Renogy and BougeRV are good brands , hope this helps
Can I use the ecoflow 220 to charge this is money is a little tight or I need the 400 thank you
Hi Rey you have the Delta max?
No the delta 2 max
Hi, The Delta 2 max can handle 500 watts of solar on each of the xt60 ports
So easily can handle the 220w panel for sure 👍🏼
But the 220 will charge it or not while I use it
Cause I don’t have the money now for the 400 watts just wonder if I can still use the 220 panel and use the delta 2 max while charging the fridge or something
Let us know how long it can power a 55 cup coffee urn pot. 1500 watts continuously
Here is a calculator you can use
convert-formula.com/w-wh
@getaway Also keep in mind each unit has 2016wH when using the calculator
I love your commentary and I’ve learned so much from your channel. I’m definitely going to buy one of the Delta units. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much I really appreciate your comments stay in touch let me know how you do
How many watts is your refrigerator?
160-170 surge uses about 40-60 watts then at times 0
I have the same setup and Thank You for doing this test well done. Hope we do not have to use this in the future but have it just in case. Thanks again.
Definitely use it from time to time. Enjoy it
I have been pulling my hair out trying to decide between three solar power systems with this being one of them. (except the extra battery can't afford to go that high) The point that has me almost throwing this system out of the running is the much lower charging cycles. I think this is rated at 800 cycles for 80%. Where as the other two systems are rated for 1,500 to 2,000 charging cycles for 80%. So imho even though the ecoflow system comes in slightly cheaper at the onset it would wind up being double the cost with having to replace it more often. Am I making sense or is my thinking flawed?
I picked this one up, lighter definitely than Lifep04 Lithium phosphate but Lifep04 has many more cycles. It all comes down to what you want to use these for. For my home back up system I’m going with the ecoflow-DeltaPro it’s Lifep04 . Lifep04 batteries weight more for sure . What are you going to use yours for ?
BTW I did subscribe. But was this a real test where the fridge is opened everyday to get food out? (a person has to eat and I got four to feed) or was it a controlled test where the fridge is not opened once the test starts? No I am not trying to be a jerk, this is important information to know real performence in real life. Thanks.
Yes used every day multiple times a day, we have to eat Robert 😊
Thanks for subscribing
@@TechMadeEzy Will be using it for emergency power back up for the fridge and freezer plus led usb lights. Plus looks like things are really becoming unstable out there so also looking at a shtf power alternative. In that case will be using it for just the fridge, usb lights, and to power a cb, recharge scanner. I am really struggling because going to be adding solar panels to what system I decide on. I also need to add a wood stove into the mix (manufactured home though) for winter heating (a portion of the house) and cooking. Want to keep the cooking inside in a shtf scenario because don't want the smells attracting attention of out door cooking. Well maybe my cooking smells would keep peeps away. lolol As for water I do have a Big Berkey on the way once they ship it. So much money!!! That we really don't have so that is part of the reason I am just about pulling my hair out. I am trying to look at it like an insurence policy. As it stands right now if I can swing all that stuff we will be sitting pretty nice and warm and lit up with some power comforts, oh and hydrated, while we slowly starve to death because no money allocated for prepper foods. lololololololol Sorry, got off topic but is frustrating so I guess I vented some. :P
Is it OK to run those batteries down to zero percent? On the Ecoflow Delta Max ? Great review by the way.
Thank you
When I do reviews I've got no choice but realistically you don't want to do that you can actually go into the settings on the app and restrict it to 5% or 10%, that'll actually make the battery last longer.
@@TechMadeEzy If you haven't already do the same test with the new delta 2.
Hi, what’s the Life expectancy on the battery and do you need to maintain it in anyway?
Hi Karen
800 cycles to 80% and try not to drain them down all the way all the time to 0,
If you store them and don’t use them leave them around 50% here is EcoFlow’s website

I accidentally got a EF delta max battery and I have decided to keep it…..but I do think 1 thing is missing that should exist…fan(s). There’s no noticeable fan for the battery…with the delta max power station having some pretty sensitive temperature requirements I am stumped on why they didn’t include at least one of the 4 (possibly more exist) fans that the delta max power station has. Strange…yet Ecoflow is still new regarding what they do and compared to lots of popular tech.
Although EF has pretty much blown every comparable power station out of the water I sure hope they become the Apple of power stations and portable solar panels. Heck if so maybe Apple will buy them.
Still lots of missing features (in my opinion) available for the app but that’s just programming…lots of potential for EF.
Good video btw…it helped me choose EF for most of my electric supply needs.
Thanks for your comment I’m glad the video was helpful Jack
Great review. I went with the 4 160w solar panels instead of the extra battery.
Thank you I’m glad to review was helpful stay in touch let me know how it goes
How it workout for that way
160w do 2 of them in series

how many watts per day does your fridge use?
Hi, Don't have any daily use data but you can see from this test it uses about 40/50w at time up to 150w
@@TechMadeEzy ok thanks for the info!
Sorry I couldn't help much more
The hard truth is that it’s a indulgence. You could get a Coleman marine cooler make ice runs make McDonald coffee thermos runs 3500 bucks for cold food and coffee wish it made sense when it gets to 350 bucks Of course I’m enthusiastic.
During the ice storm of 2009, we were w/o pwr for 7 days. Only thing that still worked was water. They shut the entire town down in order for companies to make power line repairs. No gas stations, atm machines, grocery stores, or fast food places, were open. If one had a gas generator, once you depleted your the on-hand supply, there were no gas stations operating. Hardly an indulgence, and we would have greatly appreciated having one of these.
@@retnav92 still a once in decade occurance for me can’t justify price candles and month worth of water and food no prep necessary makes sense . I constantly analyze cost benifit and it’s cool but not practical . Sorry
@@ideaguy4195 I'm also skeptical on price. How do you stay warm inside w/o fireplace in winter or cool in summer after hurricane. I was expecting these units to run heater/A/C.
why does the percent power in the main unit go down at all if the battery is supplying power to it ?? shouldn't the battery be the one to draw down first leaving the main unit fully charged until battery is depleted ??
Thanks for the test and the video! So it’s safe to say the Delta Max alone would be good for about 36 hours? And how long would it take to recharge via solar on a nice day?
That all depends on what the wattage is of your panels, how many you have and how you set them up. Series or parallel and of course sun and placement. See, honestly no 1 answer, sorry
THIS really should have been the test. Delta Max ALONE.
How long would the max power the fridge without solar and without an extra battery?
@@TheEmrickman FWIW I did a dry run with mine and it ran a chest freezer + full size fridge for 6 hours, and had 69% battery remaining after that.
Eric Good question, we didn't use solar during this review. So cut the time in half and that should be very close since the battery and the delta max have the same battery capacity.
I do plan on getting one in the next few months. Great video and test. I have the river mini and river pro thinking about getting the extra battery for my river pro. I use a frig , drone and gopro when I go camping. My mini is for going to the park or over night camping.
Thank you Gone appreciate that, I was impressed to see how long we went .
do you plan on getting a 2nd battery? if so are you going to do another test
Won't do another test but yes we did get another battery, what do you need to know? Maybe we can help?
@@TechMadeEzy how long will it power the fridge with all 3.
Around 95 hours
I think I'm going to buy one thanks.
Let me know if you have any questions
Love the video. Can you charge the two units individually? Can you disconnect the extra battery to charge it up?
Thank you Don
Yes, with this smart generator you can
ruclips.net/video/onALnTDT7YE/видео.html
@@TechMadeEzy Ha, Ha , there you go again. You just cannot answer the question directly.
Lots of people just want to know if we can charge the extra battery simply, directly from a wall ac socket.
I think it would be really good if there was a setting that when the unit got to a battery level, the extra battery could start rapid charging it, so it could be depleted first, giving you the option to take it away and start to charge it on its own for reconnection and to carry on supplying power the the delta
Hi Fran look into the smart generator, that can auto start charging if the delta max and stop at certain levels here is a video I did on it, it works for the delta max and the pro ruclips.net/video/onALnTDT7YE/видео.html
I just purchased the exact setup along with a 220 Watt Solar Panel. Thanks for letting me see what I can look forward to if I lose power again.
Wow congrats, it's a nice setup, and you can even add another battery which is nice it has plenty of power you're going to love it. Stay in touch let me know how it goes and I hope you subscribed we'd love to welcome you to the family
@@TechMadeEzy I will definitely pick up my second smart battery so I can take it too it's max of 6048 Wh. However the 4032 Wh I'm running now seems to be more than enough. I subscribed.
It’s nice to have power back up for sure and it’s also nice that it’s portable. 👍🏼
I thought you shouldn't deplete batteries below 30% to not damage them? So do you normally discharge below 30% on your daily usage or only did it for the purpose of this test?
Hi Hasan, thanks for watching
Depleting is OK initially and also with the extra battery so they calibrate. But yes on a normal basis depending on the type of Lithium you want to try not to drain to 0%, also the Delta Max has a setting you can set in the app to help with prolonging the batteries life so check into that also.
@@TechMadeEzy Many thanks, I actually have River Max, app setting only allow a limit for maximum charge. There is no option to say cut-off power if battery hits 30%. So if you leave the unit powering devices and away from it, battery will be depleted. I wish you could set minimum and maximum battery charge levels so that it operates only within that range.
All right thanks for the update and thanks for sharing
Great video, thank you for taking the time to make it.
Thank you RJB
Hey i just got ecoflow river max less than a month ago. Had problems with it taking charge from solar and wall outlet. The wattage from wall would fluctuate all over when it did charge. Then it only charged to 76 percent and stopped. I returned to Amazon with no problems. Ordered another ecoflow river max. I just hope this isn't a trend of their batteries. Anyone else have this problem?🤷♂️
It worked great for 3 weeks with no problems!
Maybe it was just a defective unit definitely register it on the ecoflo website
@@TechMadeEzy i did that. I hope it was defective. I was able to return to Amazon with no problems. I hope the next one is fine. I really do like it. Especially fast charging from solar.
Great video , but a question please , was that a fridge freezer combi or a big fridge ?
Hi Brian Full size fridge with fridge and freezer on top
@@TechMadeEzy thanks for the reply !! Cheers for the video very informative :)
Thank you stay in touch
Loved this experiment!
Thank you
Could you please help asap.. Would you buy a Delta Pro OR x2 Delta Maxes. I have one Delta Max now and thought it would be better to have back ups so in one Delta Pro would break I would have nothing. BUT if I have 3 Delta Maxes I would have two back ups and a total of 6000 watts and not only 3500 wats from one unit? Please help.. EcoFlow was very little help with this question. Thank you ALSO two Delta Maxes are $4000 and Delta Pro is $5000 and less total power. HELP TM
Can you put two Delta Maxes together to make more power? Not a Delta Max and a battery,,, would like to know if you can bridge? two Delta Maxes together to make more power than say a Delta Pro.??? Thank you
Hi, so my 1st question is what do you want to power? Also do you know the continuous wattage it will pull and the surge wattage? Pro and max are very very different, they use different battery technologies.
Here is a flash sale on the delta max and the extra battery, ends tomorrow 2am
bit.ly/3NI5qNp
@@TechMadeEzy Pretty much normal everyday items, Fridge, freezer, lights, computer. I understand they are different machines. Was just looking back ups if one goes down.. Would think having two smaller units would be better than one that doesnt work,, etc. if it breaks.
I really would love to help you but I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. The deltamax is a great machine especially for the add-on the extra battery it's all so much lighter than the Delta Pro
You sound like you're in a rush or a hurry but obviously it's a good amount of money I would take a little time. I don't mind helping at all also ecoflow is having a flash sale where you can save a couple hundred bucks I did send you the link but again I would still do a little research before you spend the money you are getting a warranty from ecoflow
Can you disconnect the battery and take it somewhere to charge, while leaving the DeltaMax powering your stuff at home?
Hi Sylvan no, at this time the max is the only device that can charge the battery, it has to be connected.
only using the EcoFlow smart generator
You are correct
Is this the biggest one they do
the delta pro is
Thank you for this
Thanks so much for watching Russ
Was solar used in this test?
No solar
I've heard conflicting reports on whether this generator can power a desk top computer. Please confirm.
Did you see the video James?
Great test man
Thanks Jam
What size is the refrigerator? Age of the refrigerator? How many watts? Any idea of how many days you would get if the refrigerator was charged, let's say, 5 hours a day (is that a doable thing?)?
A little under 22 cu about 2 years old wattage was shown in testing
@@TechMadeEzy - Thank you!
how long is the connector wire from extra battery to main unit ? is it a regular plug connection ? can the battery be recharged in the same way as unit ? can the appliance be plugged directly into battery ??
This is an awesome video! Watched the other ecoflow video as well with the solar panels. Loved the breakdown. Can you charge the extra battery separate from the main ecoflow unit? Or can it only charge through the main unit? Would be handy to charge the extra battery in the car away from the cabin while driving around and bring it back to the cabin to connect it and charge the main unit without interrupting power.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment I really appreciate it If I'm not mistaken I believe if you buy the ecoflow smart generator that you can actually charge the extra battery separately but most of the time it gets charged from the main unit
Bad news is the Smart generator is not out yet
I am working on a review on the smart generator so look for that shortly
Fridge doesn't take much to run. 3A max if that.
@Steve Paige LMFAO. Amps x Voltage = Wattage. You're welcome.
So his fridge is only using 1.25A draw. Wattage x Voltage = Amperage
@Steve Paige For Amp Hours is an actual unit of measure for how long a battery can provide 1 Amp of power per Hour.
