Very sage observations - perspective is everything. For years, I watched my Dad suffer from debilitating neuropathy until he was unable to do the things he loved - even cutting the grass. I could tell it got him down and I always tried to counter it with encouragement that he could still do things within the limitations he faced. He managed to do that and found happiness in different ways. Now it’s me with a different condition, but the same struggle. PD in my mid-50s wasn’t the trajectory I’d had planned, but here it is. My Dad’s struggle and how he handled it is helping me adjust. We draw strength from others and how they faced physical challenges. Thanks for bringing folks together in this space and sharing your own ups and downs and perspectives.
I am 63 and I have PD. My great niece is 10 and is fighting cancer. I am blessed. My 2 year old granddaughter just came through the door just to see pop pop. I am blessed. Don't lose sight of your blessings Peace I refuse to give in.
I’m 67 and with PD. What your saying is so true. We learn and adjust as we go. The adjusting is a lot easier when we accept what we have and what we had. Knowing that change is constant is the third part of life to accept. When you balance out the three you have a much better day. Peace brother. ! 😊
You are so true. Live the life we have. I have Lewy Body Dementia and hallucinations audible and visual are AWFUL. I fell in the kitchen this morning. I try to keep moving on as you say and don’t look behind me. God gets me thru it daily. You are a true inspirations to others with this channel. I’ll send you some pics of Germany when I was stationed there. 1984-1988👍👍🇩🇪🇺🇸
You're so right to enjoy the life we have. While boxing yesterday, i heard the song by Rare Earth called "I Just Want to Celebrate." It touched my heart. 💓
I’ve lost several friends and family members during the last couple of years. I’ve been reflecting on things like that, lately. Yesterday was a difficult day. I turned 69. That’s sobering. Glad I made it, though. I want to move closer to my grandsons. Even if I get a good price for my condo, a move to another state takes a major money miracle. ❤😊
Thats a beaut reminder Jeremy. Your comments tune up my resilience: eg laughter, perspective, enjoy what we have, do what we can do in our 'bubbles'. cheers John, NZ
@@JeremyMcdonald I didn't handle my diagnosis very well, but it's improving. Your videos were definitely a factor in this improvement. As for wisdom...I wish gaining wisdom wasn't so painful. You had a video a long time ago where you said something about how painful it was for the caregiver if the cared-for is mean and grumpy. That was some good advice that I try to follow. I still haven't mastered it, but I'm trying. Thank you.
I have a question. I’m on a few pills for the PD. One was sinamet. It helped a lot , but now my doc changed me over to the extended release version. It’s not working as well. You ever have such an issue ? Thanks

You are so right, Kyle! Enjoy your grand daughter!
Yep...all about perspective. Gotta work to think positive. Good talk.
Thx, Michele!

Good message. This made me stop and re-think my own perspective.
Excellent!
You have wisdom beyond your years.
I’m glad you think so! Sometimes I wonder if I am just a babbling guy who talks too much!😂

The extended release was even more unpredictable than standard Sinemet.
