I’m not associated with TFS in any way and definitely go check out the whole episode. Just thought this vid would be nice for everyone who wanted to come back for this wonderful song.

No exaggeration, this has to be one of the greatest villain deaths in the history of audiovisual media. Villain in the midst of his death going out not only in a blaze of glory, but while singing a grandiose song about him leaving this world with utmost pride and with barely any regrets? Not sure there are many ways to top that. Cheers to TFS!
To add to this? One of my favourite touches that isn't even the song itself. "Though you have fought alone, you will not die alone". Cell, ultimately, is alone. He's 'perfect', and his vision of strength is himself, one perfect being. So he never even conceives of a situation other than this - where he, unstoppable, invincible, overcomes the single other most powerful being, both standing alone. And what kills him? Vegeta throws him off his game and Goku encourages Gohan from the other side. Because at the end, the perfect life form was wrong.
Gohan did not fight alone. And Cell would most certainly die alone.

I like how TFS turned an "at last, the villain is defeated" moment into a "time to say goodbye to a beloved character" moment. They knew how much the fans would miss Cell lol

According to KaiserNeko, Cell was originally going to go out singing “We’ll Meet Again” by Vera Lynn. But he felt that the song just didn’t fit, and it was Takahata101 who ultimately suggested the song “My Way”.

TFS did the easily best interpretation of Cell. I know this song is a joke, but what I love about this Cell was that he seemed consistently okay in going out in a blaze of glory. He wanted to die having fun fighting essentially.

Nice little symbolism from Cell singing My Way; he was created solely to kill Goku (which he obviously did) as an order from Dr. Gero. However it’s clear from when 17 mentioned him killing Gero, Cell didn’t care about him. Everything he did after achieving his perfect form wasn’t what Gero intended…it’s *what Cell wanted to do.* Cell did everything HIS WAY, which fits PERFECTLY with this song.

The visuals speak for themselves. He met his goals. He did everything he wanted to do. He set goals and achieved them. Sure, he lost the fight against Gohan, and failed to conquer thr universe, but is that even what he really wanted?
If he had won, and he blew up the universe one planet at a time, if no one was strong enough to fight him, how long until he got bored? When there's no one left who could give him a challenge. He would no longer have a purpose.
He is like the dark side of Goku and Vegeta. He wanted the perfect fight. Someone who could push him to his limits. Vegeta couldn't do it, Trunks couldn't do it, and even Goku couldn't do it. But Gohan did. And I think Cell went out exactly the way he wanted to.
When you realize there will be a generation of kids who think Cell was the original singer of this song

Is it just me, or was this ending more epic than anything in the actual series!? When I watched episode 60 part 3, and the first notes of My Way started, I got chills! Then I did again when Taka went for the big finish "Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew..." :)

Everytime I look back at this, I think "I really hope that Chris Sabat got to see this."
I know he liked DBZA, he embraces all it's memes, he knows them, and while he hasn't gotten to see EVERY episode (simply because he just don't have the time) I know he likes the series, TFS themselves, and even got a few small cameos. But if there was any scene that I would love him to have seen most even if it was out of context, it would have to be this moment. I genuinely think Sabat, who has become one of DBZ's biggest fans WHILE hugly successful in part for it's entire American fandom today, would get choked up and emotional over this, even if it's just to see what this fandom (counting TFS) have produced and see what he and his company have done for so many of us and how much we love this series..... and then laugh out loud at the FIghterZ Dramatic Finish. Oh how I wish I could just see the look on his face.

I remember watching this and halfway through the song is when I realize just how seriously I took TFS DBZA. it wasn’t a RUclips joke anymore. It was this genuine show I watched and enjoyed that helped me through some tough times in a span of 10 years and here I am watching close to the end of the show. It was extremely bittersweet but proved just how attached I became to DBZA

Imo they should have included cell in the background screaming once the flashbacks ended as his screams slowly get faded out as he gets destroyed

Cell was already my favourite dragon ball villain, but TFS nailed him better than anyone else. This song was a sendoff to the best (imo) character in DBZA, and it never fails to make me smile.

I love how this is the song Perfect Cell sings going out. He planned out everything but in the end he failed, so in a way he's realizing that he was not perfect.
Nah this song is about cell having a few regrets but he's still proud and content with the way he is going out. He planned everything out which was to kill Goku and he did do that. Yet he came back to do the final blow which wasn't necessary for him but he went out his own way. Enjoying a good fight.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I have to bring up how brilliant of a detail it is to include the sound of gohan's blast intensifying as the song reaches its climax at 2:35.

Honestly the perfect song. TFS did it their way and put the show to rest when they felt it was right. I have a lot of respect for that. I can't count the amount of times I've seen legendary shows go on for a long time, begin to rot and the creators refuse to let them die with dignity.
