He was pretty good but also a little generic in the original. The problem was he came right after Frieza and Vegeta, two of the most iconic and memorable villians in the history of anime.
@@SuperNintendawg to be honest, I respect the opinion but I have to disagree, cell was cold blooded but not to the point of “evil for evil/plot” he had a motiv that didn’t seem reasonable until you realise he was programmed as the purpose of achieving and testing the limits of absolute perfection, he had great lines and a great voice actor, the design is iconic and memorable and he was absolutely terrifying when Vegeta was just “Yeah but Goku tho” whereas we knew NO ONE, not Goku not Gohan not trunks or Vegeta could take on cell, h ey was sadistic like Freeza and fed his character, he made even a child like Gohan absolutely suffer and actually cared about the cell Jr’s, I quote from cell after Gohan killed his children “YOU, WHY YOU.. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE” he’s evil but not for the sake of being evil, he absorbed to fulfil his program and after achieving perfection anyone would want to test it, all be it his methods of testing it were cruel and sadistic.
I still get chills when i hear Cell sing My Way. Sucks that we had to lose such a great villain. I hope we see more of that beautiful bionic bug-man somewhere down the road.

Im a little sad that he's gone. But I'm glad Team Four Star made imperfect, semi-perfect, and perfect cell from (my views on the non-unabridged original cell saga) a basic cookie cutter villain with bug sprinkles, to practically one of the best villain I've ever seen since Hansome Jack! Heck, the voice actor from the original WAS Hansome Jack's Voice Actor! Yet when viewing the abridged cell saga, I'm more reminded of Jack than anything! And the Finale Song! Best way to end an abridged saga! SO! Bottom line is I'm glad that all of this happened! I always was a sucker for musicals and villain moments, so this felt more like a Broadway thing! Thank you Four Star for making a reinvented childhood for me!

Whenever Part 3 of episode 60 debuted, I didn’t like the fact that Cell sang for two whole minutes, but now, I adore it. The vocals, the song choice, visuals, everything. TFS has definitely done it their own way...
R is for revolution which HAS been televised. I didn’t appreciate cell as a kid but dbz abridged really got this character perfect. He had everyone’s dna and knew someway how to effect them. Also abridged brought me a whole new level of respect for Android 16. 2 awesome characters. Can’t wait for season 4 **update*** I know season 4 will never really be.
Frieza is the best DBZ villain, but Cell was the best villain in TFS - Abridged. They absolutely nailed this character and made his arc better than the original show.
He just knew they were in disbelief at his power because... How could you not be? At that point no one they knew was even close to that powerful... Took a year in the hyperbolic time chamber for Goku (strongest on earth) and Gohan (the real strongest person but couldn't tap his potential until after) to match Cell and even then Cell was stronger as he was holding back, but Gohan transformed into SSJ2 which made him insanely strong and able to take out Cell

If I had the money to pay TFS to go back to DBA, I would have them hire Mac Lethal to voice Majin Buu, and he whips everybody’s ass while spitting mad bars that only get better as he progresses to Kid Buu. Of course the pinnacle would be the rap battle between Unleashed Potential Gohan and Super Buu, but Vegeta attempting - and failing - to rap would be a high point. The Old Kai would be hilarious as an ancient rap battle guru.

Cell was the ultimate villain in abridged. He was amazingly portrayed and for a parody it did true justice to the original.
