Beautiful results. Tips for future mold projects: remove mold from frame prior to filling with resin, fill deeper parts of the mold first and then do the edges, paint with a paint brush a very then layer of clears resin over the ‘front’ of the cured piece to make it really shiny, as your mold ended up with a bit of a Matt effect due to the texture of your original seahorse. Again, it turned out really beautiful.
Well, first off, I think the fact that you even attempted to make your own mold is quite something, so good on ya for that. And double good on ya that it came out so well! Secondly, these colors are just knocking my socks off. What a beautiful compilation. The way they all just blend seamlessly from one to the next -- wow. He (she?) is gorgeous! What a great project. Thanks for taking us along!
Hi julie. This is beautiful. Next time you might try spaying the mold with demolding spray or a little cooking spray. It helps with these homemade molds and more intricate designs.
I think your so clever ..love this it’s really come out really nicely and with him being semi transparent he would look nice hanging in a window ..Love this 🥰
I would mount this to glass that is treated with mirrorized window tint. Then light the edges with LED lighting around the edges within a frame, behind the mirror. This would elevate this piece into a WAY higher value. The fact that it’s reproducible, is golden.
Its beautiful and I had such fun watching your process. Just an idea. What about using some colour changing mica pigments. You coat the mould using an eye shadow sponge then blow it out lightly to get rid of any excess. Then pour your dark resin in over that. I saw some ladies using this technique in their jewellery making it was stunning
Hi I think this is the first time I have across your work and it was because it was so different from any other. Julie it is beautiful, I just couldn't stop watching it. What an amazing person you are and so talented and I hope that you get plenty of sponsors. Kindest rgards Lorraine
Yayyy, found this video. So odd, just today was looking for a super big sea horse and also mermaid mold and ran across you making your own sea horse mold. How lucky am I!!!?? Thank you!! You're awsome!! Love from West Virginia

OMG Just what I've been looking for. I want a right and left mold so I can put a piece of tubing between them and then seal the 2 pieces together for a water fountain with the water coming out of his nose area. Just amazing how you made your own mold! Love, love, love!
You are my favorite artist to watch. I bought resin and wanted to try it out, then you started pouring resin. This is a one stop channel for me. Resin acrylic pour THIS IS WHERE TO COME. The seahorse turned out lovely.

I kept holding my breath while you were pulling it from the silicone, LOL You should be so proud of yourself, making this Art Piece from scratch, the very beginning, creating the Mold and then Resin.
