I love all that you do! But I have to tell you, your Poodles are FABULOUS!!! I have been a Poodle girl since I was born, and they are some of the most AMAZING creatures ever!! Smart as a whip, and an abundance of love!! My Poodle I have right now, is 5 lbs. she is black and she is GORGEOUS!! And she is also a fabulous HUNTER!!! A mouse doesn’t stand a chance around her!! For chips in furniture you could mix sawdust with a wood glue. It works. Beautiful desk.

@@TheReclaimedHeirloom I have so many different woods in this ipen-space house. Oak in 3 different shades in the foyer, maple in the living room, mahogany in the dining corner and pecan kitchen cabinets--all visible from my sofa. I have an antique buffet to repair and refinish into a tea/coffee bar that sits between the pecan cabinet and mahogany table. I thought I would stain it mahogany rather than introduce yet ANOTHER look. My walls are ivory. The oriental rugs are dark green with cream, pink and burgundy (paisley pattern in the dining area, floral in the living room). I debated painting the buffet in greens, but maybe I could use the mahogany stain and then use ivory on the panel of the doors and decoupage roses in the center.
The wood on the first piece wow I loved it everything was beautiful but my favorite is always Raphael aww he is adorable 🤍

That desk is wonderful with its graceful lines. Such a beautiful piece of furniture. And whats not to love about that rocker! But I prefer it's original rich patina finish, sorry. That's just me. I'm very intrigued by that blanket stitch. I'm naturally drawn to a basket weave in anything, and this is no exception. I have to find time to learn how to do this! Love your tutorials and your animal kids.
Hello Christina, words fail me tonight!! All the furniture pieces turned out so beautiful. The old veneered cabinet was astonishing. Showing all the grains to me it looked like marble. The chair was unique, the cupboard I think should have had more coverage, that's me, but I loved the antique handles, they are fantastic. The pink of the blanket was super special with the basket weave pattern and the blue cupboard was amazing, it looked like shadows and some panel looked like linen. When you did that stain, I really groaned, but my goodness it turned out super special. I am sure your friend will be over the moon with what you have done. You have inspired me so, I have a butlers tray very smart but dark wood and a lamp round table with ornate bottom carvings, not too intricate, I am seriously thinking of changing their look. I am sure it will be lovely, better than their present look. Love your cat, he looks so sophisticated, he is really beautiful, and his colour amazing. Tell him he has an admirer he is not even aware of. All the items are doable we must just follow your instructions which are very clear and precise. Many thanks for your inspirational projects.

The cupboard at the end was gorgeous !
Just a small suggestion, when creating a faux keyhole, simply paint the timber underneath in a very dark, Matt black to imply a hole or cavity. The same goes when covering a timber front with punched metal, cane, wicker or thick mesh. It will give the illusion that the coverup is all that is between the eye and the presumed cavity inside.
That is what I was thinking also.

Always been polished with beeswax so that will have built up layers over the years
Hi Christina, I love your work and have gotten tons of good techniques amid ideas from you. I had a possible tip for you in future upholstery projects. If you have a fabric that isn’t as thick and opaque you used here on the rocking chair., you could get some fusible interfacing in a heavy non-woven type, ( it comes in black and white to use depending on the color of top fabric). The interfacing will make any fabric opaque and give you a very similar hand, or stiffness as your needlepoint canvas here. This will give you many more, if not unlimited options as to fabrics you could use. If you keep it on hand, you can transform many fabrics into a canvas-like cover, all you need is an iron. Imagine a backing on a tote bag. You may have already done this, but just in case. I love the way you mostly use what you can pull together around the house for your projects, that is my whole jam. I”m actually rather stubborn about it to the point of it being a bit eccentric sometimes, haha. Thanks again for sharing the wealth of your craft. Take care.

I am a bit concerned about the chair cover. I can see it being looking great as a show piece. But, I am not sure the hot glue would hold it up if it was used for actual sitting on.
