Beautifully done Christina🥰 I love pink but not always full on pink and this technique is perfect in allowing the pink to show but is muted by the blend of the others colors! I will definitely try this technique❤️❤️❤️

I always hope to help others use colours but it doesn’t have to be so bright or overpowered, it’s like the added touch or accents of a colour are what really make it look so beautiful!
What I love about making new projects is how much learn lol 😂
I would never have thought or plan to paint a piece of furniture pink because I think 🤔 a huge pink dresser pop in my mind that is to much pink lol 😂
So I am trying to see colours in a more muted way without taking it away but how is that colour seen in a natural way similar to what we see in nature. Again I am learning too and I really enjoy sharing these projects with everyone.

I’m new to this art and I’m so glad I found this video! I just Started working on a piece almost identical to this one and wasn’t really happy with how it was going. I couldn’t decide on a technique suitable for the long doors until now. I’m doing my base in graphite and the top in duck egg and probably fluff or I’ll lighten the duck egg. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Christina! I’m new to your videos but not new to your work. You do such a beautiful job with your pieces and I especially love your use of color. Your videos are excellent. One question about the base coat of paint / salt wash mix. For the brush stroke, do you paint using regular brush strokes, do you stipple, or something else? Thank you!

For the Saltwash the best way to apply your paint Saltwash base is to stipple with your brush , it the peeks of textures are a bit to high , just run over it with your brush again. Use an old cheap brush the actual brush style doesn’t matter , but don’t use a good quality brush as I find the Saltwash rubs the bristles and cause a far amount of wear on them, an old or new cheap chippy brush is good!
Application of Saltwash and paint mix , the best way to apply is stipple the brush!
I am going to be another tutorial is up close detail on how I make the mix and how I apply the base directly to my bare furniture piece.
