These are just spectacular. Thanks for sharing. I've been to the Cinerama Dome in LA several times. I can't imagine they would destroy such a valuable asset to the film community.
As from 1:48 you can see the "Pamir" in the background, she sunk a few days later in hurricane "Carrie". It's the last footage of this four-masted barque.
A correction to my other post. Windjammer played at the Eglinton in "Cinemiracle" which was almost the same as Cinerama but used mirrors to eliminated some of the seams on the three panel films. Still a great movie now I have it on bluray in Smilebox.

Feels like it was shot yesterday!
1:48 The other sailing ship is the German "Pamir", which sank in Hurricane Carrie on September 21 in 1957.

About time. I've been singing songs from this film for over 60 years, since I saw the film at the Tivoli Theatre in Toronto. Welcome back!
The Tivoli was a great cinema. I saw Oklahoma, Around The World in 80 Days, South Pacific all in Todd-Ao.
I don't remember Windjammer at the Tivoli but it did play in Cinerama at the Eglinton for 52 weeks.
