- We bought a house in Amsterdam! That means that it's time for an Amsterdam house tour!
From an apartment in the west of the city to a semi-detached house in Amsterdam Noord (North), we are happy to share with you our new home. It's a two-bedroom, two bathroom home with an open floor plan on the ground floor.
It's our first home purchase and we just can't believe that as Americans in Amsterdam, that this is how it's all turned out. We couldn't be happier!

I find it interesting how people from abroad view this. I also really like learning your perspective. e,g for a house near Amsterdam, this place is huge. well done! you have a beautiful home. "not a normal size fridge". well, actually for the Netherlands there is. we are the second largest food exporter in the world so you can always buy fresh food. also, having a huge fridge just means you will be wasting more food and throwing it away right?
oh before I forget. you should look into installing solar panels. they have a 6 year payback time if your roof is suitable.
Thanks for this! My comments were made from a typical American point of view about the refrigerator but I actually like the size now. 😊 Things change! Thanks for the solar panel tip. There's another house project we have to do first that will impact the roof, then we may get them. I like the idea of having our own power!

Hey, supernice you guys got a house! We moved to Noord two years ago and are at Koopvaardersplantsoen. And we Love your show. If you guys want to go for a drink at plekk, Noorderlicht or Ijver just let us know in pm. We'll bring the kids and maybe show you around the city as locals. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Lol! I just do. It's not relaxing and steaming up a room just makes me claustrophobic. Weird, I know.
@@aWanderlustForLife it's sooooo relaxing to me haha. A steamy shower actually makes me quite claustrophobic because I can't breathe. But I don't like showers unless they're scolding 🤣
