Loved the sunroof story. I have actually seen that happen when I took my car in to have it cleaned (The staff were NOT degenerates btw, and it was not my car it happened to). Having worked retail many years ago, I always have a soft spot for workers that have to put up with that kind of crap.
They just finished widening and straightening a road near me. A bunch of homes had their mailboxes in pots for awhile. It looks like it worked great for them. They just had to go out after windy days or storms and stand them back up.
While I lay here, unable to do much of anything, I am grateful for you, Red. Threw out my back this morning. Appreciate your content more on days like today.
Mailbox one. BS!! The USPS regulations state that a mailbox MUST be at a height between 41" and 45". Learnt this in the mid 80s when my uncle put in his mailbox at a higher height and had to redo it.
@@vickiechandler3112 Unless it is outside the US (possible) it must be 41"- 45" in height. That height is the right height to reach while seated in a car.
@@huntjl88 I concur, in the 80s I had a friend who needed her mailbox replaced due to it having been run over. When a group of other friends and I were preparing to redo the mail box for the third time we got creative and because we weren't using an off the shelf support for it we contacted the USPS and made sure that we had the height right. There might be a story to tell in this one.
The last story... As some of you already know, I work management at UPS. While there, they treat everyone like a worthless piece of crap. But when we're not there, we're the most valuable people around. So I totally understand OP's situation.
Hello RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for sharing your stories everyday. Please stay safe.🏴😷😁👍. Hi everyone hope you are all well and safe and have had a great day and a wonderful week ahead
Yeah, I left my job with a month and a have's notice, over nine months ago and retired early. Tried telling the plant manager my replacement would need to be trained at the only other plant that had our same systems. Didn't happen, I'm volunteering at an event with an ex-boss that left right before I did. My replacement will be there, and I hate to tell her how screwed she is. There is no magic fix, that's why I left, many followed after I did. I don't like the idea of having to tell her but, it's coming up at the end of the month. Bad leadership is bad leadership, I'm so glad I'm not under their thumb anymore, money doesn't mean everything. Life is so much better now, don't let money rule your life!
I remember I worked for a grocery store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It has the same initials as Walmart WM. Well I worked there 11 years. Well they found out after I left on how much work I did. The funny thing is the Store Manager was supportive of me taking on a new skill trade. He was taking up welding himself. I went got my CDL and started driving city buses
I did have a run in with a mailman over a mailbox once. When I bought my first house my mail box was on the porch rail just before the one step up on the porch to go to the door. The mailbox was old and rusty and its placement meant that the mail would wet when it rained. So I bought a new mailbox and place it next to the front door. When the mailman saw this he demanded that I move it back to it's original location because it would add 8 more steps to his day and if every one did this it would be to must. I called the post office and they told me I was OK with the placement of the box and less than a month later we got a new mailman.
You go mom in the last story. No amount of nosey is enough to be devalued and or bullied. Lied about or have to deal with a newbes jealousy. Those people need to grow up. And ceo and all the high ups should have seen it and fire the newbe or pit newbe in his place given an chance to not be an ass. If newbe conti I'd being an ass then get fired. Pretty unfair that mom had to give up a really great paying job due to the ass.
What does that mean? My grandmother makes really good donuts especially when there’s earth moving equipment around. I’m confused. Does that mean her donuts are shitty when there’s no front in loader’s in the front yard?
That mailman is pathetic and lazy and frankly needs fired. Won’t walk a few extra steps because “you don’t have to” well, you need to lose your gvt job.
Last story shows it again, what we all know.... You don't know what you got till it's gone... If you don't respect your workers and think throwing money solves everything (though it might help sweeten the deal) people might just stop giving 100% She did follow the boss' phrase word for word "take all the time off you need" that was an open door waiting to be kicked in
My mailbox is regulation height sitting in a 5-gal bucket filled with a bag of quickset because of being knocked over and post broken. If someone knocks it over now and ends up on top of that bucket of concrete, the only one that will be happy will be the mechanic's accountant.
@@jeanne8507 Oh yeah. Local law looked at it as a misdemeanor. Just boys being boys. Post master saw it differently. Federal crime. USPS is so short handed because their local Post Masters and supervisors are for the most part idiots. Entire atmosphere is us (carriers) against them (upper management). No matter what you do some fool in the office is screwing it all up. One reason I quit and they go through about 4,000-6,000 employees a year.
There are some a-hole carriers for sure but one reason they don’t go out of their way is because between the useless union & USPS they have a complicated and wacky system of figuring your pay. That few feet to walk those mailboxes and back is unpaid time and effort.
Yes, as all the residents would also have to stretch up twice, when they put things in or took them out, so they would have been more inconvenienced than the postman
I HATE to do it, but I am going to have to unsubscribe. I keep asking that the background music be lowered (or better) eliminated - but it fell on deaf ears (Probably because that hideous carnival music was too loud!). Hello from Poland Redwheel and everyone!!!
The plant pot plan was pure genius!

Hello friends
According to federal regulations, there is a rule on how high a mailbox can be. Look it up.
You are correct. It's 48 inches.
@@jeanne8507 I went through 13 mailboxes in a year. I learned all about the regulations.

The mail box story is incorrect for current rules and the solution will not work now.

Your wrong there is also a regulation saying how hi or low your mail box can be.
