When I drove truck, we had several snowfalls of 6-10 inches. I suggested that someone clear the accumulation of snow from the roofs of the trailers in the lot, as usual drivers are ignored. Then one morning when I came in I noticed one of the trailers looked funny, so I asked the security officer if I could watch the tape of the lot. Sure enough, we watched the roof collapse under the weight of the snow, he took the tape to the boss, and by the time they got out there to remove the snow, three more trailers roofs had collapsed. I just loaded up and drove my route.

No matter what the OP says, having stuff fly off the top of your vehicle, be it trash or snow and ice, is definitely =not= a minor infraction. There's any number of videos on RUclips that show the results of ice and snow blowing off of the top of another vehicle that are absolutely devastating. Massive damage to other vehicles and fatal accidents can happen. The offending vehicle is responsible for cleaning debris off the top of a trailer (or containing it with a tarp or netting). That dealership would likely get sued by an RV's owner if they were ticketed for this or they were held responsible for an accident.

As someone who was born and raised near the Lake Michigan shoreline in Michigan and the lake effect snows it produced, yeah, you have to keep things cleared off and it's best to do it while it's fresh and not hard. Also, I was a truck driver for many years and snow and ice flying off of semi-trailers can be a hazard that can break windshields. And yes, truck drivers can be ticketed for that. Snow and ice coming off RV's and other trailers have the same problems. The drivers of those vehicles can be ticketed as well.

@@jeremycocciolone9223 If it is, it is VERY misleading (clickbait). It says: "Boss Demands that I Don't work in My Building after 35 Years". This Implies that it is the grandfather telling the story. 1. "Boss" should be "head teacher". 2a. It's not HIS building, it's the school's. 2b. No demands were made, he was just reassigned. 3. If 'winning' was not a priority, why not go with the cheaper option. 4. Instead of letting him go, they kept him on as an assistant. 5. He gets his nose bent out of joint and takes his hurt feelings out on the pupils of the school district by blowing through the remains of the annual budget. (Don't ask me why they thought 8th Grade Health Science was so important.) 6. When they finally capitulated and offer him his old job back, he goes off to coach somewhere else. At the end of it all my grandpa was the only person that could safely ride that horse, everybody else would get bucked right off but it must’ve respected grandpa or something after that lol. -He's younger, more likely to stick around longer.
-The old guy has a notably shorted lifespan based on his history and most likely more health problems that would effect his job.
-He would absolutely be paid more if he worked for the school longer.
      -A win/loss record isn't the only factor.
-The other guy wasn't new. He literally already worked as a head football coach for that school for years.
-The grandfather easily fucked over the school and everyone in it, even though the students and teachers and all had nothing to do with any of this. He punished innocent children just for the sake of hurting children. He shouldn't be in charge of, and a role model to, those very same children he hurt with his tantrum.
There are many, many, many reasons this decision would be made, and going straight a conspiracy is presumptuous.

That last story is fucked up. It's awful what his grandfather did and it's gross the way the guy writes the story. Every part of what happened is wrong.
    1. The title. What part of this story had to do with him being a veteran? Nothing. There was *NO* reason to mention it, let alone spend nearly a third of the story talking about it. Being a veteran doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and you're better than everyone else. You aren't. You're not entitled to shit from me. It's already wrong that they get discounts and shit like that. If anything, the military should be taxed more to make up for the boondoggle that is the military and it's fucked up over spending. That money should have gone to, for example, schools! To think being a veteran means you get preferential treatment is simply entitlement.
    2. He worked as a coach for 35 years. Seems like he's probably an older man at that time. He didn't have 35 more years there, whereas a younger person might. Unlike teaching, it's often more physically demanding and at a certain point you kind of reach your max abilities. So, investing in someone with experience and qualifications and if younger, is not crazy. And based on how long they were there, the one there longer probably made more, so the school would save money on the experienced younger guy who would have had a lower salary. If the other coach had coached over a 150 games, he clearly had years of experience. He's not untrained or brand new, he's literally had years of experience with that school. Based on those factors, the *obvious* choice would be the younger guy.
    3. The grandfather sounds like a bad example for kids and a concerning person to be in charge of them. And the grandson describing it as "burning through wives" is a gross way to say that. And based on what the grandfather did to not the school, but to the innocent students in it, further shows how much he shouldn't be working with these kids.
    4. Teaching health class is "lower" than football? Are you kidding? One of those things really matters and to everyone, the other is a game and maybe a couple people in his entire 35 years would do anything with it outside of high school. Literally everyone needs to know what is taught in health class. It's life changing important information. The real problem in the school assigning him to teaching that class, he was in no way qualified to do it. He wasn't a teacher, he gave 0 shits about the kids or their necessary education, and wasn't in anyway professionally trained in it.
    5. "He fought communists (oh no, people who are different than us in other parts of the world!) in Korea. Again, who gives a shit? That has nothing to do with anything. He doesn't get special treatment because HE chose to be in the military. Honestly, the "communists" comment is also a red flag.
    6. As far as the teeth and coal mine thing, also fucking stupid points. Just the coal mine thing, his life expectancy would be much lower, and most likely develop more health problems. Yet another reason it may be better to invest in the younger guy. The teeth thing is basically comparing physical torture to teaching. His flagrant disregard for education and teaching is pathetic. He shouldn't be teaching the health class, but not because he's too good for it, but because he's a terrible person for the job.
    7. He keeps acting like the school did this outrageous horrible thing. They did the smart and fiscally responsible thing for the school and the students. Save money on football and spend it on education. Again, the clearly better choice for the job was the other guy. Sometimes you don't get the job. That's not a personal insult, it's just they went with someone else. They had 2 coaches, which is too many. Instead of firing him for being redundant, they gave him a hugely important job even though he wasn't qualified to teach it. That's what the school did wrong, keep him and give him a class to teach. There is nothing for him to get revenge on here. It's entirely a perceived slight based on his own entitlement.
    8. He didn't make the school board suffer, he made the kids suffer. The innocent children he's supposed to be taking care of and helping mold into the future are the ones he punished. It's like getting pissed at someone's parents so you scare the kid as "revenge." That's not revenge, that's just being an asshole.
    9. So, the innocent kids basically missed out on a full semester of health class. Even with a sub, it's not the same. That's punishing the kids. This could have caused some serious damage to their lives if they missed out on health class and didn't learn sex ed, or health habits, or drug/alcohol awareness, or other important information like that. That's not punishing the school board, that's gambling on the future of innocent children.
    10. The school should have just fired his evil ass. He clearly never cared about the school or the children, ever. Why should the school be loyal to him when he clearly never gave any shits about it? Anyone else who doesn't show up to work doesn't get to keep their job.
    11. His actions stole from children. "Sorry innocent children, we aren't getting those new textbooks or repairing the classrooms because your old football coach is throwing a tantrum and is deciding to not come to work because he doesn't like the work, but still demands to be paid." "Sorry innocent teachers who already make below a living wage, that small raise that would have meant you didn't have to move into your car isn't going to happen because one person is deciding to fuck you all over."
    12. He held a school hostage just to throw a tantrum. He extorted a school because didn't get what he wanted and felt entitled to because he fought in a war. He should be given special treatment at the expense of others, if not, innocent people will suffer. He bullied people, hurt people, and endangered people, the vast majority of which had absolutely nothing to do with it and couldn't have done anything, all because he didn't get his way. He's pissed someone else wasn't fucked over so he decided to fuck over everyone.
    13. I hate that the school offered him his job. He should have been fired. And the fact that after he threw this outrageous and selfish tantrum, he quit, is all the more atrocious. It just goes to show his petty bullshit was solely to punish innocent people and fuck over everyone around him and not to get his job back. He should have been fired and no other school should have hired him, especially after proving to be such a liability.
This isn't revenge, it's cruel bullshit. Hurting innocent children isn't revenge, it's evil. Both the grandfather and the grandkid are entitled, immature, petty, ignorant, assholes. They are the ones in the wrong and should be ashamed.
