Lewis raised concerns to the management that the Engineers didn't give importance to his feedbacks regarding the direction of development. Lewis complained that the Engineers told him to just think about driving & not development - authenticity according to Several Reports . Eventually the team adopted the changes in 2024 which Lewis wanted in 2023 like placement of Cockpit etc..
Even if the reason there was no merc engineers isn't because the track was invaded, he deserves it for all the shit he's been talking about the car and the team.

They have experienced the same thing as mclaren in 2009 after a huge regulation change they go from a championship winning car in 2008 to fighting for 5th and 6th each race with occasional wins in 2009

Every team experiences this and every team has to try to move past it and get back to the top as fast as possible. Red bull had this problem and look at them now. Ferrari had this problem no less than twice in recent history and look at their car last season. Mclaren had this problem going into 2009 and they have only just returned to race winning performances in the last few years. Williams were a race winning team till the mid 2010s when they dropped off and have struggled to get back ever since. Don’t feel that just because you win some championships 8 years in a row you are entitled to win everything forever. Grow up.
