Hike: Cliff Lake and Buckeye Lake - Friends of the Umpqua Hiking Club

The short 2-mile hike into Buckeye Lake, via the Skimmerhorn trailhead, is an unremarkable standard walk through the woods. But the views at Buckeye Lake are spectacular. Sitting right below Grasshopper Mountain, Buckeye Lake, along with Cliff Lake just to the east, provide hikers and backpackers that quintessential high altitude mountain lake experience with little effort.

I wouldn't mind going up there on another hike so we could stay overnight at the lake above where we ended.
