Line drawing demonstration with a fountain pen

One of the great things about Instagram over the course of this pandemic has been the growth of many drawing challenges, which have provided a great source of inspiration, particularly during those times when we’re not allowed out and about.
This demonstration is a great example- a fabulous group of buildings with interesting angles, colours and shapes. For this drawing, I decided to use my lovely brass Kaweco sport fountain pen, filled with some waterproof ink recommended by a sketching pal( Brian Ramsey ). I have to say, as you’ll hear from my commentary, the ink and ultra fine nib work really well on the Moleskine paper....
I’ LL be adding watercolour to the drawing very soon, so watch out for part two: the colour.
