Awesome video Sir, very informative and well explained 👍🏼
I'm really learning a lot from your videos.

I love your teaching style Van! I love watching your videos and I was hoping you could do a quick video on carving closed or sleeping eyes. Thanks so much for your videos.

Thank you so very much for creating and sharing this video. I do have a hard time with faces and would love to be more confident in creating them. This will definitely help. Thank you.

I just saw your video and your explanation gave me the inspiration to work on a root ! I’m going to try to carve a goblin or something close.
Wonderful tutorial. Would love some links to recommendations for the tools you are using.
Also thanks for not playing background music
Ive been messing with my pocket knife since I was a kid . RUclips is great in that we can get proper direction . I'm going to enjoy doing whittling efficiently as I learn from the channel . Thank you , Sir
Only just found you ,thanks for showing us your skills ,ive liked and subd . greetings from Wales UK .
Hey! Thanks for being here!
Thank you very much Van Kelly for you amazing tutorial video, question , what knives you recommend to start as a beginner, I have some knives but need to be sharperned real nice
Thank you for your videos. I love the easy way you do your eyes. Could you please show the difference in carving a female face. Cheers
Very nice video
Thanks for sharing all for free. Very generous of you. So many wood carvers want to charge for lessons.
What do you use to keep your knife sharp?
Is there a chance that you would do a video on the female face and head? Real like your teaching videos.
Ty for your Tutelage 👍👍👍👍🍺😎
Hallo.
I'm from Indonesia.
Thanks you for the knowledge you provide.
So far I have been carving from Cantigi wood roots.
and how can I buy a set of carving knives like that?
Van, very nice video and I will use it to improve my eye carving. My recommendation is to list the size tools you use. In the video you mentioned the size of one of the u-gouges. I would like to know the size of the v-gouge (or v-tool) and the size of the soft v-tool. The size of the knife is not as important because I usually use a 1.5 inch knife. Please continue to make carving videos, I enjoy your carving and teaching style. Every video helps me learn something to improve my carving. Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback! This is one of my earlier videos and we have learned a lot since! Always working at making videos that are informational and good quality.
@vankellywoodcarvings You still didn't list V-Cut Tool Sizes used - would appreciate you doing so.
Love you simple cuts that create a high level in detail and shadows. Thanks for sharing. Peace ✌️
Nice video
How do you know what grade basswood is when you buy it ?
👍🏻👍🏻🤠🤠
What kind of wood is that one that are you using.
Какая древесина у него?? Липа или клён???

Excellent audio but camera work detracts from visual learning
I draw a lot of simple faces and characters. If I send you a copy of one of my drawings, do you think you could carve me a face to match? I would pay for it of course.
Nope, not even the eyes turned out for me. 😢
