The sound of a sharp knife cutting through lovely wood, sounds fantastic, and I believe would be 100% improvement over music. I’ve just my opinion and I’m sharing it because I really wanted to watch it but I can’t
Awesome video!! I learned quite a bit from just this one alone. Thanks
I'm sure you've heard this Many times but WOW, that's a really good tutorial and I really want to give it a shot because I really enjoyed watching you carving the face into the piece of wood.
I'm not expecting to get as good a result when I do it but it's sure worth giving it a try!!
Thank You for Your Time and step by step look into building up a face out of wood!!
Really Nice Work!!!
Thanks for posting this. I’m just beginning to try carving/whittling on my own.
These wood spirits have always looked so cool to me. Nice work.
I love them too 😉
I found myself tapping my toe, and eyeing up the table leg and getting inspired! Sharping up my old Barlow.
Just subscribed.

Hello from Florida👋 i have an axe throwing target 🎯😁
Another amazing video. Thank you.
You’re welcome 😉
Thank you for your work. I am a beginner and will try to copy this next.
Glad you like it. Be safe and happy carving 👋👍
Awesome work as always, you should definitely do more hand carving videos 😎
I will thanks a lot👍
Beautiful 👍
Good one!
Awsome work. Love wood spirits and this is one of the best. Obviously ur a pro but to all u beginners out there I highly recommend cut-proof gloves. Had to take almost a yr off because I thought I didn't need em. All it takes is 1 simple slash from a sharp wood carving knife to do some gnarly damage. Again, thx great work!
You right I used to wear those gloves but I lost the connection with the wood and for me that’s important. I always pushing the knife with both hands that’s helpful to avoid getting hurt.
Fantástico, gracias por compartir 👏👏👏
Thank you for watching 🙏
Very nice job my friend.
Thank you very much!
Fantastic video should inspire more carvers I really liked!!°
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nicely done. I want to get more into carving.
Don’t hesitate go for it 👋

Just found your channel. Your video is the easiest I have found to follow and I thank you so much! If you had to pick 5 tools to carve, what would they be?
Glad you find me. All whatI use I love it all 😊😁 thank you
Maravilloso trabajo felicitaciones dé Puebla 🔥 México
Thank you from Florida 👋
Boa tarde qual o é essa madeira que você faz as esculturas?
I love your work you're the best I've seen at faces I have just started power carving cause I keep cutting myself with the knife how long did it take you did it take you to get the hang of this thank you
Same here I feel safer doing power carvings. I just practiced a lot, somehow power carving is like drawing withe pencil.
I'm going to this today..
Привет,пора сделать женский образ для разнообразия,было бы интересно посмотреть, успехов 👋
Il est magnifique 😍😍😍
Thx
My goal is to carve the entire Norse pagan pantheon and also other sports of the Vikings because that just resonates with me. I also love the stories of the old times
That’s a great idea. I like to see how it turns out .
What are you using to stain the wood with. I really like how it appears. Great video!
I use either danish or tung oil. Both natural color.
Just about to attempt to copy this :)
Go for it 🤟👍👍👍
Great video, this teaches a lot.
I am thinking about creating faces or small statues as handles for wooden carved mugs.
You got another sub, and I will check out more of what you post. Look forward to it, keep up the arts. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a great idea 👍 I have a lots of videos hopefully you can find some good ones. Thanks for the sub and you comment. See you 👋
You have amazing talent and confidence. Using a sharp carving knife without a protective glove is quite dangerous, UNLESS it is CarvingAndSuch master! 🙏
Hope that’s staying like that with no accident 😉 like to feel the wood in my hand. Appreciate your support 👍👋
What did you put on it with the brush at the end? PS- That was so helpful...and its beautiful.
That’s a scotch brite pad on a mandrel. Thank you
@@carvingandsuch No I meant what did you paint onto it. Was that Linseed oil or something like that?
Hi ! Great job. What did she put on her face at the end?
Clear danish oil. Thx
What are the dimensions of the wood block? I have basswood plates 25 x 10 x 3 cm and I want to cut, form and glue a block (with the same ratio as yours) to carve a wood spirit. I am a beginner, this will be my 3rd work. I have already made an owl and a little man.
1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch basswood
👏👏👏
👍👍👍
Lindo
Your blade is straight on the cutting edge, could you carve the same face if the blade was curved?
Yes 👍
No, I meant what did you paint onto it at the end with the paintbrush. Was it linseed oil? Or something else?
Ohh tung oil 👍
@@carvingandsuch thank you 👍
@@carvingandsuch i just finished and it came out great. Thank you.
😍👏😍👏💪💪💪🙋🏻♀️
It would help to slow down the process.
I want to find the engraving tips. I live in Turkey and cannot find it. Can you help me?
Have you tried eBay?
@@carvingandsuch What should I look for on ebay? what are the names of these tips
All in the description below
Thank you
I'm not good I miss up lol
