I noticed your figures and carving are starting to resemble more of the Asian form of sculpture and wood form ,,Excellent form of look and sculpture ...The design is splendid ..I have studied and observed different art from different nationalities for years and they all have a different look to them ..These are very special and unique ..well done

I truly admire your carving - especially those fine details like the waist band with its tassels. These carvings remind me greatly and strongly of the monks statues at the monastery of Marienthal in Germany. The monks there wear brown habits. I love to go,there. The guardian always is glad to see me. And the services in the chapel of St Mary are always very special.

Hi, I have just started carving and have done some of yours, I am very pleased with the results up to now so am encouraged to continue. I have started this one and am getting to the part where I need to carve the shapes in the robe. Can you tell me the size of the gouge you have used please. The blade was made thin with a whetstone.
I know you own a flexcut knife. The flex cut knife has better performance.

Lourdes, la madera más popular entre los talladores es la que por estos lados (norte America) llaman Basswood, creo que en español le llaman Tilo
