It makes pistol starts a bit tougher, but I like it anyway. Makes you keep on your toes, but if you have a backpack you likely won't have to worry about running about ammo.
One of my favorite weapon mods to date. Though I did some liberties to my copy like removing the recoil, making it friendly with any monster mod (it's got it's own set), and cutting down on the smoke, but it's a great one nonetheless. As always, I loved the assault rifle... but the shotgun. Oh man. The one weapon I really loved and one I never changed the sounds for since they're that good. Also, been a while, Matt!

Sorry I took so long to reply, Christmas prep tends to be hectic and I took a bit of a break mid-December so I could gather ideas for videos and fix up my recording/uploading schedule next year. :) I do share a lot of the same views regarding this mod, but I also remember the assault rifle having an upgrade which gave it 30 round mags. I could be mistaken, given I played this when it was brand new. :P Hope you had a nice holiday either way!
The BFG's name has been confirmed to be canon by one of the Johns, the attempts to do something else with it began in the original Doom movie but as far as I know it's still Big Fucking Gun.
@namvo3013 No wonder they feel weak, you're using the guns against monsters they weren't designed for. :P You could always crack open Slade and change the damage values, though.
The fact that this mod uses a clip-based ammuntion gimmick is pretty interesting.

Tried out this mod with project malice and honesty it's very fun!
Agreed, Project Malice matches the gritty vibe of this mod!
Pairs nicely with DBP's immortal warfare.
