Hey mate I'd remove it asap if I was you. Especially if you live in Australia. Auto tint is not good for flat glass as it holds to much heat in the glass which leads to thermal breakage. Trust me, putting up with the sun isn't worth spending thousands to replace all your windows once the summer sun hits them! Not a matter of if its a matter of when! Strip it and get a residential film or get a professional to do who can provide warranty
I thought the glue /the surface to stick on the window is the one where the backing paper is. Here I can see the backing paper being peeled away from the top. So how does it stick, and if it is not there to protect the glue, what is the function of that backing paper? Could you explain about that pls?
This is called a reverse rolling technique. The film has a backing sheet which protects the adhesive. Prior to installing we roll the film so the backing sheet is on the inside of the roll. Watch the video carefully just before I install the film. You’ll notice I peel a section of the backing sheet and wrap it around the roll. This is so when I roll out the film the backing sheet will automatically come off the film and end up on the back of the tint. I hope you understand as its a bit hard to explain.
Little Papers Collection this particular window is aluminium frame with a rubber trim that sits nice and tight between the glass and frame. When trimming, my knife is right up against the rubber trim. By putting a slight angle to my knife, it is guided by the rubber and cuts the film nicely avoiding any damage to the rubber. This technique is slightly adjusted depending on the frame. I hope that makes sense.
zimbabuey Cazeau Yes. To provide privacy during the day you need a darker or more reflective window film. Unfortunately at night, no matter what window film you install, when the light is on at night people can still see in.
@@roxana29ily yes you can but don’t use harsh/strong soap like dish washing liquid. Use a soft soap like Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo as its designed for babies and has no harmful chemicals in it.
Bit of manhandling with that film... I would've thought the left side of the film would've been cut to size, not the right side, after being bitten and potentially having crinkling/fingerprints on it
I wanted to see a video which showed the difference between a window tinted with this film and a window not tinted. This is great for that. Thanks!
No problem Christopher, if you have any requests just let us know.
This guy is a pro. I'm. looking to see how to handle large windows wider than the film.
Alex the designer... Tinting master
I used an Auto tint film from a local auto parts place. It worked well at blocking the Sun's heat and pretty cheap.

@@tkotinting1631 Yes, understood. I went through several videos and figured out this is what is being done. Thanks for confirming.
Nice Job Sir ! Thanks
Thanks mate
Great video Thank you!
Cheers mate
Wonder how it stays in place no epoxy around the window to seal it and keep it in place
When you cut the edges... Does it not also cut the caulk of window??
