I can't believe I'm going to thrutch through this project today 😂 I'm really good at stuff like this, and it still looks like an absolute nightmare to a perfectionist like me. Amd i thought some of the screen protectors were a PITA to get right 😂
Thank you so much for this. I'm not handy at ALL but my office goes to a hell-ish temp in the afternoon. My sister and her husband did my sliding glass doors years ago at my old house. I tried to talk them into driving 12 hours to help...but...no luck. LOL Your video has eased my fears.
This is brilliant, turned out to be an easy job x
brilliant!! appreciated. thank you.
Thanks for the share. Very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
It looks completely transparent? That’s awesome
It's completely transparent
I like the tape trick, I have always had issues with separating the film from the backing. Have you notice if at night you cant see out the window, but you can see in? Thanks for the video!
Thanks. The film definitely changes the reflectivity of the window so it's harder to see out at night, but also harder to see in during the day.
I also live in the northeast! are house plants ok with this? I have a few videogames I'd like to not get sun bleached. also, does this help against birdstrikes ? thanks for the video!
I'm unaware of any impact to bird strikes. I'm sure house plants are fine.
What's in the spray? My band of this doesn't come with anything. I have some window-cleaning spray which includes vinegar for no streaks. I guess a pure soap spray is best but doe sit need to be residue-free, and if so what brand are good? (I'll quite understand if you don't know all this...)
Not sure. I think you can use small amount of dish soap and water. I didn't notice any residue.
Thanks for replying. I hadn't realised your video is two years old at this point!
Can this be put on the outside? I'm thinking of putting it on the skylight and it would be hard to put in on the inside.
It's not designed to be placed on the outside. Even a little bit of weather can damage it or affect its adherence to the glass. Inside only.
Would this work for protecting the room i have my autographed memorabilia in? Id rather just do the windows instead of pay so much extra for the uv glass for every single item i purchase.
I would think so
@@OHFScratch thank you so much man, this'll save me alooot of money lol
What film would you recommend where no one can see IN, day and night, even if you have lights on inside. Is there such a thing?
No
Are those double pane low e windows?
I think so.
Since this was from 4 years ago, I would like to ask, " have you had any issues with those double pane glass windows since using the film"? Generally indoor treatments on double pane cause excessive heat buildup in between the panes causing warping and broken glass.
Nope. No issues.
1:14 "I wrote a blog post a while ago, about why I f****** hate videogames, because this is what it does. it appeals like this male fantasy" Great meme. Great tutorial tho
Thanks!
I can never find the product I formation
How much of the uv Ray's does it actually block out
Enough not to damage your floor or furniture.
So, are they hardwood floors or laminate?
hardwood
I feel like i need to take the plunge lol and go for it. Btw, you need to case out your windows like me.
My wife has told me the same thing, Bryan.
Does it glue on not perfectly straight glass?
No idea.
Would it help to use a squeegee to apply the film?
probably
I don't want to loose any light coming in, just need privacy. any suggestions?
you can order to sandblasting your window glass. It will work :v
there is this too ruclips.net/video/KIzX8lFEnes/видео.html
Can you not just add the whole thing to the window, cut it to size and then peel the backing straight off while its on the window???
I think the act of peeling the backer off will also peel the whole film off the window. You can try that though.
Does this film prevent bird strikes?
no
Can I put this on my car windows?
no.
Das ist uv-a or uvb?
Both I think.
beide. Ich glaube.
I had to watch this video like 10 times, it's very difficult to focus on the information with such a beautiful boy in the middle. 😍😍😍
Since the 1970's, men's sperm counts have been going down by more than 1% per year. If trends continue (in fact, trends have gotten twice as bad in most recent years) then most men will be in the infertile range of sperm count 10 years from now. The reason for this is because of the ubiquity of phthalates. Phthalates are endocrine-disrupting chemicals that are in things such as UV window film.
Well, I don't recommend you eat these window films.
