You turned me onto Loewe 7 Anonimo and it's one of my favourite fragrances. Incense with a backdrop of dark resinous things. Mysterious. Definitely a leather jacket black clothes type of fragrance
Thanks for these suggestions! Ive picked up some of these over the past few years based on your earlier recommendations (i believe your dark fragrances videos) and man they are good. Coeur de noir, bois mysterieux and black gemstone are all loves for me, and highly recommend for those who enjoy this dark, resinous genre of fragrances. Short story. Last year I was buying some decants to test some scents I heard about. I got Santal Noir, but when I smelled it on paper, I recoiled from it (virgin nose!) and did not want to buy any (but something kept drawing me to it). In the meantime, I had heard that Santal Royal was close, so I got a decant and tested it. The oud in it was a little offputting at first (virgin nose!), but eventually I came around to loving it. Then I went back to try Santal Noir again, and fell in love with it too!! So now I have both, love both, but to my nose, they are really different scents. However, Santal Royal is a masterpiece in my opinion. Love your reviews. I can tell you react to scents as I do. It's *such* a personal/emotional experience that's difficult convey...so I'll leave it in your expert hands! Thanks for your commitment to this journey.
P.S. I also have Encens Mythique, Épices Exquises, and Bois Mysterieux and enjoy wearing all of them, but none as much as Santal Royal! The line you were trying to recall is Les Absolus d'Orient -- they were all part of this collection.
Yes, I did and I do like it, but not enough to have a full bottle of. It's a type of patchouli like the one called Patchouly by Profumum Roma, which I find it to be a bit superior and it's my all time favorite patchouli fragrance 😊
Another great list. I was lucky to grab a Bois Mysterieux before it went extinct. There is something quite sexy about it and it feels Oriental for a French House. Of all the fragrances on this list, I think the best overall is Bentley Intense for Men because of price point, availability and quality of juice. What do you think?😊
Also you NEED to try 1740 by Histoire des Parfums. It's one of the absolute best dark mysterious fragrances on the market. One of the best immortelle notes on the market and very inexpensive on discounters. I like many of the same dark fragrances as you and you will adore it. Happy holidays!
the newest version of dior homme intense is nothing compared to the previous one and pure shit compared to the original release this dior reformulations suck so hard..what a crap

I wear Serge Lutens la Couche du Diable in winter- its so delicious and rich. Never heard anybody share about it
