Doesn't matter how good they smell, these big brands main objective is benefit. Instead, support small niche/indipendent/artisan brands that are not bought by big groups.
Hi Sebastian. I can share that as a LVHM employee, we sometimes get access to older product through an employee sales portal. They’ll probably move some of the Dior fragrances there. I was just recently able to score vanilla diorama in 125ML for $83 and Spice Blend in 40 ML for $38.
I'm glad I never got any of the Privee collection, I don't doubt the quality, it's just too many fragrances, I really don't need it, that's why I keep my distance from these collections. I'm super excited about the new Dior Homme Parfum, I can't wait for that one. Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
Shrinkflation aka Greedflation can only be sustained by people unwilling to accept the difference between needs and wants. I may want it but I dang sure don’t n d it at that price. It’s ridiculous.
Great video as always. I'm sooo pumped about DHP possibly being available in the States again! Had a family member bring me back the current version from Europe this summer. If the new version hits the U.S., I'm buying a backup case this time!
Very disappointed by this news as I have my collection of 250 ml bottles lined up on display in my dressing room and any new ones will not fit in with it now 😔
I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit bummed about all of the changes going on at Dior. I've been a huge fan of their Privee line, and have really loved that the options have been 125 and 250ml. I'm glad I have most of the ones I like already, but I may try to stock up before the change. Real shame about Santal Noir as well. I have a 125ml of that one and it's definitely one of my favorites in the line. I am hopeful about the new Bois Talisman, but the last few releases from the line haven't really matched my expectations. I have already tried the new Dior Homme Parfum, and it's not a bad perfume per se, but it's nothing like the old one and I don't get that same iris. It just feels way more mass appealing and forgetable to me. What a shame. Thanks for all of the updates.
Also, I will add that rather than being an iris bomb, to my nose it's a coumarin bomb. Overall it falls flat for me. DHP was probably my favorite perfume. I bought 10 back up bottles as soon as I smelled the new one.
Over 120 bottles i have, i do not have any Dior, Chanel, LV or Hermes fragrances or any other mainstream clothing designer company and i am proudly staying on the same number in future. Not claiming those are bad brands, but there are simply way better ones for the same money. And
Just smelt the new Dior Homme Parfum from a Dior brand rep. Looks like it is coming to North America, surprised to see it in Canada. Smells like a very clean iris with a bit of dryness from the vetiver I’m assuming. Never smelt the previous Parfum so I can’t compare the two
Never understood all the attention given to the Privee line, half of them are sweet and spicy (aimed at the middle eastern consumer) and the other half are watery, thin florals aimed at the Chinese market. The good ones have been discontinued years ago.
Tried them all in Italy few months ago. Tobacolor and Oud Ispahan are the only two that I would consider buying but then again there are far better Tobacco fragrances and out fragrances. Also Vanilla Diorama was fine but all of the others are nothing too spectacular.
Gris Dior is probably the weakest fragrance I've ever tried in my life. Only fragrance I've ever had to bathe in to smell anything It is almost like scented water.
I really enjoyed the EdPrec Gris Dior (bought the sampler). I am trying to purchase all of the Dior and Chanel I want/need before Feb 2025. I fear '25 is going to get worse before it gets better. Really want Feve. As I'm sure you are aware, FD is going for as high as 2k for the larger bottles.😢 It is nice, but not that nice.😂 Thank you for the continual news updates. Happy Christmas! Cheers All! 🎉🎉🎉😊
I love Santal Noir, I have the 250ml bottle and still have quite a bit, and will definitely purchase Bois Talisman. I love woody ambers. I also have Rouge Trafalgar, Spice Blend, Ambre Nuit, Bois d'Argent, Belle du Jour, Gris Dior, Eden Roc...in fact all of them in the large size. I love this line. I go to France so I purchase everything there.
Dior is my favorite designer fragrance house but i must say that they became unsympathetic with the way they go about their business. Smaller bottles, same price point and a possible price increase? I ain't with that.
I've been a fan of Tobacolor and bought it twice and now I'm completely in love with GRIS. It's a bit too feminine but.. Boy ohhh Boy. It's a stunningly beautiful perfume. Ambre Nuit is okay but Diorama is overrated.
Things like this make me want to not collect anymore. I’ve been collecting for 9+ years now and I’ve seen frags come & go. The consumer never wins. Dior is just a representation of that, it’s sad. They want more $.
Fragrance pricing is getting beyond depressing now. Beyond extortion. I’m keeping my love for small indie houses only. No more giving to these corporate, maniacal conglomerates. Nope. No more.
For the 40ml bottles I saw them on Dior’s Italian website few months ago when I was travelling so I wanted to find Dior beauty shop to maybe buy some and then SA’s told me that they only sell large bottles and that I can order 40ml online… dirty. At least I got to try all of Dior Prive line and honestly Tobacolor and Oud Ispahan are the only two that I would consider but then again there are far better tobacco and oud fragrances.
I was underwhelmed when I tried the Esprit collection. The only one that held my attention was Rouge Trafalgar. The others were forgettable. Which was a bummer because I was really looking forward to Ambre Nuit which is my favourite from the original line.
The 2025 DHP is iris centric. Get the OG while you can. I might get another bottle. I have a feeling the nuanced subtlety and complexity of the OG might be going away. Just another Dior Homme "this year version" in parfum coming out. Shrug.
@@ThePerfumeGuy My opinion is just based on the trending of the way the house operates. DHP and DHI have been outliers. For North America, anyways. Everything else has been relatively predictable.
nooo it's really changing? im currently saving up to buy the privee line next year's april month, but seeing this information makes my heart ache 😢 IS THIS THE END 😭😭😭
Thank you Sebastian for the updates , not much , Good tidings of comfort and joy , there for sure. Gob smacked on the destruction of the old bottles ?? Good god what a fragrance house self disrespect and disregard for its Prive line , profits per unit must be astronomical for a company to be able to do this ?? I would have thought half of something it better than half of nothing??. Anyways the new 2025 release of Dior Homme Parfum can’t possibly beat the old original ??. I hear they will use the whole of the iris plant 🌱. We shall see in 2025 I guess. Great video as always sir 🙏👍
Just dont buy their stuff, we need to police these companys, when they become greedy just boycot them! Go buy small brands. They litterly make this stuf for 10 to 20 dolars per bottle.
I don't like where Dior is going under Kurkdjian. Two mediocre releases Dioravira and New Look, discontinuing one of the best Sanal Noir. Finally reformulation of already perfct legendary Dior Homme Parfum. He should have worked on Dior Homme Intense.
I got the new 2024 DHP from a friend in a chain store in Canada last week, meaning It’s launching in north America and that’s true. I haven’t opened it since it’s not officially getting sold, but the cartoon now has a texture, it’s in 75ml and 50ml again, and the silver bee is located down in the front.
Change was needed, classic french perfumery is out of fashion in world of designer fragrances. As all designers, Dior has to keep up to the pace in terms of sales.
Great vidéo as usual So if I understand correctly, Dior has increased their prices by at least 75% in 5 years: If I take 250 ml bottle of 2019 , I paid it 300€ in Dior boutique in Paris , and in 2025 it’ll be 400€ for 200ml. How come ? Seriously? I mean I understand there could be some increase over time but 75% in 5 years? Come on! It is kind of obscene (especially considering that we are in fact paying for the destruction of old bottles since they would pass along that cost in the new selling price) Now i have to sell a kidney … Bernard Arnault should stop that or french will wish that someone act like that guy and the assurance CEO in the US if u see what i’m refering too😅😅 lets hope not though

Less juice for the same price. The definition of SHRINKFLATION
I could cope with them stealing my ice cream, but fragrances is just too much 😑
No. That’s called GREED
I am retiring from this hobby.
It's been a lot of fun, but I am not working to subside the LVMH and the infamous and rapacious Bernard Arnaud.
I think I may be as well. Good thing I have enough juice for a few lifetimes to use

they're extremely audacious with that price increase.

Lucky you that’s a great price for those
Can I get in on that deal lol I'll pay for shipping
@@acevedobrooklynI wish! The sales are at random. Like super random
Will we ever get Fevé Delicieuse back?
I have enough fragrances, I think I'm getting out of this hobby. Prices just seem to keep going up
Good call tbh. "Oh man I really need that 5th YSL Y.. amouage released a jubilation 75? How much? 600$.."
I feel the same. I haven't watched Sebastian in months and I feel disconnected with the perfume industry as a hobby.
Life keeps going up. Haha
If they reduce the size and increase the price or even keep the same I will stop to buy from these collection straightaway

Exactly. Now the 200ml is going to stand out like a sore thumb? 🥲
Looking forward to Bois Talisman. Woody ambres are some of my favourite types of fragrances.
hello I managed to get a 100 ml of wood talisman, it's a vanilla smoky woody perfume I find it very beautiful
Great video, thank you for the info.
Would love a video on all the Esprit de Parfum!
Sebastian. Thank you. You are out here doing GODS WORK. I am def going to buy a 250 ml bottle of Oud Ispahan ASAP.
I hate traveling through Heathrow, but they do have the best Dior boutique there!

I’ll check that one out soon again maybe while I’m in Europe it’s cheaper there

This is exactly why I grabbed a giant (hairspray can-sized) 250ml bottle of Santal Noir in Dubai last month, while I could.

Thank you for stopping by but yes very disappointing for the changes. Now my old bottles won't match my new bottles. This is not good! :(
Kinda given up on Dior
I have this weird feeling that Bois Talisman is going to be Diors take on BabyCat. Just a feeling I have I hope I’m wrong
Rouge trafalgar is the best of the extraits.
I'm curious if they're going to update DH ORIGINAL as well, as it will become the last flanker from the family without a design update for years.
There will be a new Dior Homme next year, yes 😊
@TheJimikeySage not DH but DH Original (Dior website exclusive that mimics DH prior to the recent change)
Hi Sebastian 😊
why discontinue Santal Noir🤷♀️
Not selling?
MSRP on DHP 2025? Probably 15 to 20 percent increase. Darn.
Yes, I could see DHP selling for $200 or $225 for 100 ML. But I’m not 100% sure.
