Fun fact: Gomez Addams in the top 5 of the richest man in fiction. He even estimates to be richer than Bruce Wayne. He got properties in swamp, mines, morgues. This is not because he is a genius businessman but because he has whimsical luck and success in everything he does. Anything he invested, he gain major profits. This also explains his martial art skills.

Technically it’s all Fester’s since he was the older brother, but after he disappeared, all the Addams’ properties were signed over to Gomez. And it all technically went back to Fester in the first movie. But I’m guessing Fester signed it back over to Gomez after all that.

"let them have cake" wasn't actually a real phrase said by Marie-Antoinette. Critics of the Queen claimed she had in order to make her look insensitive and undermine her position. Marie has simply been misinterpreted, that she meant brioche (bread) one way and people took it for another(cake). There was certainly a huge industry devoted to attacking and slandering the Queen, making all sorts of even pornographic and remark attacks on her to sully her reputation.

Served seven years for first-degree aggravated assault. Became an adult entertainer when she got out, webcam model, writer. It was big deal when I was a kid. Covered on all the news channels, tabloids, a few different television movies of the week were made (MOW were low-budget, over dramatized movies that network television channels did, typically on weekends, but fell out of favor. Now Lifetime does them ALL THE TIME).

Most innuendos would go over kids heads (like they did mine when i was a kid and watched this) and it teaches a great moral IMO of 'no matter how different or bizarre your family is, as long as you all love and support each other, you have a happy family!' Which was what I always got from it. Plus morticia and gomez gave me the BEST example of what to expect in a partner.

One thing I didn’t like is the house set. In the original, the foyer had that huge staircase that went from one side to the other side with the ball room on the center landing, but in the sequel it’s like an ordinary staircase. Idk, the house in the sequel looked a bit shabby. The original movie made the house look grand like a museum

It's sad they waited thirty years to revisit the franchise after this. If there'd been one in the middle, we might have gotten an Aubrey Plaza Wednesday.

And that is the best line in the film. Follow with the entire Thanksgiving play scene.

Debbie is peak Joan Cusack 😍
While she's always very funny, she's a smokeshow as Debbie. If she wasn't so greedy she would have been a great Addams 😅

The problem with this movie is that A. a Thanksgiving play in summer camp makes no sense, and B. The Addams wouldn't like the Natives, they'd like the exploiters.

      A. Vanity project
      B. The Addams are always the outsiders

@@boghag No, they would like the people who exploited, not the earnest Natives

Glad you found these gems! A rare sequel that's at least as good as the original movie. Also, at the risk of emotional damage: Arcane season 2?

Damn I was so excited till you reminded me of the emotional damage! But yes! I can’t wait for the first episode! I’m thinking I’ll post the first episode here and if it does well I can keep posting but otherwise I will just keep them on Patreon.
