My big brother and i went to see this in the theater when i was 13. It was raining, people were soaked and the lobby was packed with people and we stood in line a long time to the point of people getting really irritated. When we finally got up front we realized that we missread the price and didnt have enough money, so we stood there awkwardly abit talking about if one of us was go in and see it alone or if we were just gonna leave.
And in a wonderful act of kindness a bunch of people took out their wallets and chipped in what we needed for both of us to get tickets and a man even gave us extra money for some candy aswell. After that the whole mood of this irritated theater lobby turned around and people got alot friendlier and happier. It was an amazing switch in a group of strangers from rainsoaked and annoyed to friendly and excited for the movie.
Its a moment ill never forget and one i thought about alot over the years. People can be really kind, and being generous to someone else can make you feel better too.

4:55 - Liz Hurley wanted to reprise her role as Vanessa but could not commit due to other film commitments. So to maintain continuity, they made her into a fembot and she was able to shoot this scene as her cameo. Mike Myers eventually realized this worked out well because this franchise parodies 007 which usually has a different female lead in each film.

Fun Fact: The scene with the malfunctioning chair was improv. The guy controlling the chair was messing with Mike Myers, who stayed in character the whole time and it was so funny that they kept it in.
Also, Rob Lowe's impression of Robert Wagner was developed several years before its appearance in the film. Rob Lowe dated one of Robert Wagner's daughters.

Everyone was doing an Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard impression. Quoting lines from the movies. Even the term: “Mini-me” became part of our vocabulary. It was the end of the 90’s. This movie indirectly gave me one of my favorite college memories. My world history professor was a brilliant lecturer but wasn’t great at helping other people really learn the information. He mentioned a Gentleman in history names Basil and I had to let myself just cry tears of laughter but not laugh like a lunatic. All I could think of was “what does it all mean Basil???” 🤣🤣🤣
