Within two videos (this and Mysteries of the Macabre) Barbara Hannigan just became my new favourite human being.

+zrisezlle same here! Before this I perceived classical music as totally boring experience, and always preferred technical brutal death metal. Well, no more! Classical music rules! Barbara, you are a true inspiration! Thank you for you art!

one of the most fabulously hilarious things i've seen! brilliant!
Beautiful music and great conducting. Mark McKinney is good but Barbara Hannigan is just amazing. I've never heard singing like it. She brings so much to the phrase: 'It wasn't me'. Wonderful, just wonderful.
I'm glad to see someone comment on Tristan. I laughed out loud when I heard the quote and wasn't sure I could believe my ears. Not everyone would catch that.
+Lynn David Newton yeah it was a good pun
Yes I laugh so hard!!! (Also the chinese take-out LOL)
Everything she does is just amazing.
I would like to hear her sing something like Strauss last songs.
wonderful stuff. Great fun. Barbara Hannigan can come to my party!
Tristan quote around 4:06, god I laughed so hard!
Indeed!
What quote? Who’s Tristan?
@@peterxv Tristan and Isolde is a well known German opera written around 1850 by Richard Wagner. The musical phrase right after they say "It's all over between us" is a well known musical phrase from the prelude to the opera which is the musical introductionn to the opera.
Congratulations Barbara. I,m your fan! Amazing Voice! BRZ/São Paulo State.

GREAT!!!!
Umbrellas of Cherbourg on acid. Funny and beautiful
Utterly hilarious.
would love to see/hear it in HD...
Anyone know what people are talking about with the Tristan quote? I don’t understand
@peterxv after they say 'It's all over between us' They play a very well known musical phrase from the 1860 Opera.
@@michaelsharpe4217 thank you for responding!! I’ll look that up. I was so curious
@@peterxv Listen to the prelude and overturet the operaTristan and Isolde.
What's sad is that it feels like the recording of the voices is duller than the recording of the instrumental accompaniment. I would have liked the voices to have been sounded brilliantly.
Barbara !!!
funny stuff, Phu - King
Kind of like Umbrellas of Cherbourg?
hahaha nice Tristan quote
Goddamn. I'm in love.
Did she say "no more all-night boning"?
+Kevin Kennelly no more all-night bowling.
Also, there is a picture in the bedroom of a couple, with the man holding a bowling ball.
Pónganle subtítulos !!!
