Im running a M50D at the moment but im about to rebuild the top end so im going to buy another motor for the time being. Have you run any 59c.i. mercs? JW i been eyeing a 59inch built by a very reputable builder. Thoughts on the 50hp 59inch specifically?
They are great motors, several of my buddies have them. I just prefer my current motor for the hp limit areas around me. All in all though both are great motors
@@ACHUNTTV thank you for the reply brother! Don't get me wrong I love my tohatsu. I have a 25hp tohatsu that's built. Pushes my fast craft damn near 50mph. Also tohatsu built alot of mercs motors 60hp and under anyways. So it might say Merc but it's possibly a 2 stroke Tohatsu badged as a Merc lol
Beautiful setup btw, I'm building out my 96 Tohatsu M50D also. Boyesen reeds, billet head, forged Pistons etc. So I enjoyed the content. Keep bringing updates! Oh yeah, how fast was the rig?
Well the insurance company did not give me the option to buy it back since it’s a boat (progressive thing) I’d do it again but just have done a little more research
I have not been able to test it out yet, for the reeds i expect a noticeable but not drastic increase, but for the head i don’t think it will make too much difference on this block. But i will post what i find out soon!
A mile or 2 more, need to test some other props. Rides much better, turns better, and will lift the nose with 2 people and my dog. Definitely a way better performing boat.

What’s the weight capacity on the reaper? I want a duck boat but they all seem to not have enough weight capacity for my needs.
What speeds you gettin with that mega lookin at a 653 that got one on it thats apparently "built"
43-45 depending on the day. Stock motor.
Also with the fast cats reed plate youll need the billet cam roller with extra cast mold on the bottom.

If you could have done it again would you just had kept the boat for the motor? not worth going through copart?

Did you have to get throttle extension for that tiller extension fixing to order one for mine
No sir, everything uses factory hardware, and cables. It bolts right up. You don’t have to buy anything extra.
You can buy a bobs reaper edition hydraulic kick and jack but it’s like $1650.
