The most annoying thing about zhan’s fall off is that he was singled out instead of orochi when they nerfed his dodge cancel recoveries after making them really good. For being a DODGE attack specialist it makes sense, orochi makes no sense other than “haha weeb samurai” which is quite annoying being a zhan enjoyer
@@ILLTAKEAPIKACHU yeah ages ago they made his dodge cancel similar to orochi and then the next season the nerfed it to what it is now and that’s why he’s barely played now
@@ILLTAKEAPIKACHU @legoomanngamer3716 the change they made to zhan was a broad one made to all non feintable dodge attacks, and it allowed zhan to access 400ms lights from a near instant input window on his dodge attacks, so think neutral 400ms lights with i-frames. This was broken and only lasted about a week. People just dont play zhan cuz hes mid
@paoloditano8610 yea, but he does counter most of her kit tbh, the only thing he can do much about would be the undodgable zone, and even then if the orochi is confident, he'd deflect the shit out of it...
Rep 70 zahn here, so was actually thinking this myself as to why i havent played them in a long while now and have come to understand alot of zahns kit worked back then when most characters either didnt have a dodge attack, or simply werent used to their kit yet back then compared to orochi where he can kinda do whatever they want tbh
@adrianguerrero2949 ahh well he has the light and heavy deflects that give 22 damage so I don't miss it too much but it would be neat to have it in case of a ledge or to setup for someone else I suppose
Crazy how you bring them up, I've been grinding them since the first title update because I got the white bone spirit armor, and I've rarely seen zhanhus around
Zhanhu is really bad..zhanhu is a noob killer because they can’t even react to heavy attacks let alone unblockable lights, but at higher level play, even at the causal level anyone who can parry lights shuts down Zhanhu completely, you either parry the light or interrupt the heavy unblockable, she has no opener because the bash is very reactable and her zone is a free deflect or parry

@@EmperorZhanhu-qx3oc Just because you’re good with a certain hero doesn’t mean the hero isn’t bad, I know LB mains who are great at the game, but LB objectively is still a bad character. Using yourself as the basis for your rebuttal doesn’t make sense since you’re obviously biased, as for who I main I don’t really have one I moreso main a class being assassins. Regardless congratulations on being good with Zhanhu but the character is still bad, your entire argument is if someone good with bad hero then bad hero good, someone can be bad with shaman, doesn’t mean she’s a bad character as she’s one of the strongest
Fact that LB is absolutely playable in 4s,and somewhat playable in 1v1(even tho,u basically still 90% of time turtle against everyone because u still have no opener whatsoever, because bash animation is so slow, and u basically play like pre-rework LB did,but u now can land one bash in hour, instead of no bash absolutely),but in 1v1 u just commit warcrimes to urself. P.S.Even tho its pain to play LB in 1v1,I still enjoy to struggle with him, more than I enjoy to olay actually good 1v1 character, makes decent challenge and makes u feel alive after every win, because its really can be hard to win with him
@@Sir_ShadowZ__ true but i still think he needs some changes. heavy parries only guarantee a light or a zone. impale is extremely situational and for the most part fucking useless. if he had a light light heavy chain so you can get 2 lights off of a parry THEN i think he would be peak. but the damage you get for 1 light off of a heavy parry is not enough. the heavy finisher or feint into guard break is reactable especially for PC players.
The fact that LB and Ocelot exist in the same game is idiotic They feel like characters from different instalments of the same franchise, but the games are 20+ years apart.
its so weird coming back to this game like years later. When I left, Orochi was considered weak (I remember people telling me it was Warden lite). Now its considered meta. He's not my main, thats lawbringer, but I have just enjoyed having a bash on orochi now. I do miss the heavy deflect, though.
The answer is pretty simple, they streamlined the gameplay so much into being a "parry this 400ms opener or die" that there just aren't any other viable strategies, if you're not good at it, then you're just bad
People dont understand reflexes are something youre born with and something you start to lose by 35, its not a skill and noone cares if you can parry 400ms lights on reaction
Was Zhanhu ever meta? I know there were large numbers of them back when people were trying to get the limited armor, and right after the DA changes… but after those things went away, so did the playtime…
Idk about meta but some teams in the dominon tournaments used him for his feats and team fights. But that was a few years ago now and I think that if the Dom series came back we wouldn't see him at all.
Yeah he was a top pick before the orochi buff. This was back when the top picks at the time were like raider, jj, kyoshin, zhanhu, shinobi. Nowadays definitely not. Zhan is still really good but he's just outclassed
@@soulbender1987 yea, I just always been good wit zhanhu, I just wish they didn’t mess with his recovery cancels, that was like the one really good thing he had it was like if u made a good read you were untouchable, I still think he can be like B or A tier.
(Just an Opinion, everyone has their own), I just hate how much Orochi has been given for being an assassin Hero. He basically plays like a Vanguard without the Hyper armor. People who weren't good with him kept complaining about a lack of options on the hero, I admit the Heavy unblockable isn't far fetched and is indeed a usable kit that all other assassins have in some capacity. The fast opener kick, the insane dodge attack recovery cancels feel a little undeserved for the hero, because a large majority of the Assassin players that tended to pick him, instead of learning his strengths and weaknesses they just demanded he be made stronger. Zhanhu was fun right out the get go, the flow feels nice but it's slow. If we're gonna have heroes like Shinobi, Orochi, Afeera, and Pirate all immediately dodging out of whiff recovery, then why can't Zhanhu do it too? As soon as the hero launched their gimmick was made out and they fell off pretty hard. Getting 1 or 2 buffs and then hardly being touched again. The most they've done for the hero was the bash opener being removed off their forward dodge superior block and being added as a standard dodge forward option. Otherwise, I haven't seen any significant changes to the Hero or what they can do. 4 things I'd do for Zhanhu, 1- Feintable zone; BP has his feintable chain heavy, HL and Jorm have feintable Zones on startup, Glad can feint his zone after whiffing the bash, it'd be a fair implementation. 2- Faster dodge recovery cancel; Stated previously, Shinobi, Orochi, Afeera, and Pirate all hold that ability, it'd be no worse to put in on a hero that relies on dodge recovery to preform a good percentage of their kit. 3- give them another combo/chain option other than dodge attack or area, the kit while it feels okay, is lacking. I'd add a Chain bash or maybe even a hyper armor option for teamfights. 4- Smoother camera transitioning, but I feel that can be said for most teamfights in For Honor. The game was initially designed around 1v1's, which is why the unlock and locking of the camera feels janky and uncontrollable at time. It definitely affects Zhanhu the absolute most with their already lacking kit.
One thing that doesn't help Zhanzhu is his feats. In theory they are fine, but the issue is that his unique T3 is near useless (it should be a trait like Blood trance or Way of the shark), and Zhanzhu himself doesn't have any way to apply fire damage. His T4 is kinda 'meh', T1 is more spammable kunai, and T2 is actually great
That’s what I’ve been wanting or make maybe only nobu changing way of the shark to a t3 or change zhans t3 to a passive and somehow make him deal fire damage
@benjaminmayall2679 Superior block wouldn't be enough, I personally think his bash dealing fire damage and the light follow up deal less damage would make it more woth it.
@@strikeforce1500 na that would be way too much people would just constantly be on fire and wouldn’t be able to see anything. It being on sp only would still make it common enough and yield greater reward for greater skill (as they are pseudo deflects anyways) while also playing into his character traits. If we went fire all the time why not make his t3 intrinsic to his kit and then add a feat that gives him a fire sword for a time
He’s pretty balanced, I was maining him for a while around the time of the monkey event but he’s just… boring? Doesn’t have much going on for him outside of two dodge attacks and his unblockables
@@juiceboxbzrk I wasn’t counting the feats, that’s my bad. I forgot to mention his zone as a good area attack for externaling since it’s a free parry on the higher skill levels. But his bash/deflects are nothing to write home about, unfortunately just meh
I'm almost rep 80 on Zhanhu, and they've been my main for a few years. I think for me personally, what is most frustrating about playing them, is that it feels like every tool Zhanhu has is just a worse version of things other characters have. Then they put all these worse versions together to create a character that is just really mediocre. The thing that annoys me the most is that most good characters in this game now can force 33/33/33's on their opponents when reading 50/50's, but Zhanhu cant. Orochi, Varangian, Shugoki, Shinobi, Hitokiri, Afeera, Ocelotl, can all dodge attack quicker than Zhanhu can soft feint a heavy, meaning everytime you throw a heavy you're making a 33/33/33 (dodge/parry, dodge attack, do nothing) against your own 50/50 (feint or don't feint). That wouldn't be so bad, if Zhanhu wasn't literally incapable of dodging quick enough to do the same thing. The GB vulnerability on Zhanhu is so great that countless time's I have heard my Zhanhu literally speak the words for dodge attacks, and then it doesn't go through. I have been guard broken out of my forward bashes, AFTER SEEING THE ORANGE UNBLOCKABLE APPEAR. They are a dodge attack specalist, with, in my opinion, the worst dodge attacks in the game (for the purpose that they're supposedly made for). Their startup is just, attrocious, and you will constantly be reminded of that fact when fighting 80% of the other heroes that have dodge attacks. No hyperarmor, at all, even on your finisher heavy, really hurts as well, and I would trade Zhanhu's unblockable light finisher in an instant for unreactable triple light chains, like valk or nuxia. But I genuinely don't think the Devs care, like, at all about Zhanhu.
I think they need to bring back zanhu old deflect opinions. I miss that bash. I learn to deflect for that reason. If they make where if ymu deflect you get an option to do zans heavy attack( he can cancel it )or the original bash zanhu came with.
I was a lawbringer main from release until VG came out. Shes aesthetically just as cool imo and she gives that HEAVY feel that lawbringer just doesnt have anymore.
Good video! I personally don't like Varangian Guard at all, in my eyes it is a combination of warlord, conqueror and Aramusha. With their release, all three of these heroes have lost massive amounts of relevance. Their defense is completely over the top and they are hateful to play against.
I like to use the unblockable light to condition people into looking for the parry and then start throwing out my heavy finishers instead. It's so satisfying to watch someone go for the early parry and eat the heavy lol. I think it would be nice if they kept the speed and guard direction of his dodge attacks but change the animation of the dodge light to have a larger hitbox. That way you still have both options for duels but have a little more for team fights.
I wish the devs never reworked lawbringer he was my saving grace for this op meta with his stunning tap light punish and his stun on his top heavy. His impale being butchered really killed the character for me cause with so many safe moves the top tiers have it was the one move that really made your opponent think about using their zones and unblockable heavy spam. If the devs decide to rework centurion then I might stop playing the game altogether
@@manz7860 hes had lots of changes but he's still kept his identity. Im annoyed with the devs nerfing or removing a defensive heroes tools when it was those abilities that made them fun and unique in the first in place just to give them a generic op move another character has.
@@JaJatheJetplane I wish lawbringer got something even close to generically OP. Took away his biggest strengths, no roll catcher, nerfed his opening heavies..... Give him a charged heavy attack like hito and shugoki and watch him become viable overnight.
@@soulbender1987 best unblockable in the game? it's only his finishers and does a miserable 20 damage.. there are characters who do more damage on two lights
I'm just gonna say it, not all of us are fast enough to react to light attacks. Don't even say "Just practice light parrying" all of us have and not all of us have a fast reaction time! Its a preset thing as mine is 0.38 milliseconds!
The frustrating thing about zhanhu is that their hit boxes are super inconsistent imo, it's a problem a lot of heroes that rely on externals suffer from, not to ignore zhanhu's terrible dodge cancel timings meaning you can't constantly rely on them like orochi can in a big fight. Zhanhu does have powerful pressure that orochi can't match sometimes, but their wonky hit boxes (for instance, the side unblockable lights being able to external on one side but not the other for no reason other than hitbox errors) and her finisher unblockable heavies having tons of range yet constantly hitting thin air even if there's someone right in front of you making it exceptionally frustrating. If they fixed zhanhu's attacks to better external with and buffed their dodge cancel timings just a tiny bit, zhanhu would fit the niche of being the best of both worlds when it comes to jj or orochi who both do their most important jobs better
I recently grinded Zhanhu to rep 7 for the trophy. My thoughts on a buff. Better damage would be nice. Unblockable on forward dodge heavy. (Tracking is AWFUL) Would be nice to have a roll catch. Fine tune the deflects and dodges. I feel like i get clipped during dodges and the timing for deflects is really tight. And id say thats a good start.
Hey solid, I used to play this game a lot and used to be good. Now there is a lot of new characters, reworks and patches. Can you make a video on how to fight against individual characters (I keep losing to gladiators)
Gladiator is one of the more safe, annoying characters to fight. Zone bash and dodge bash spam. Toe spam. 4 chain lights. Fucken impossible to fight him as warden
People dont play Zhanhu anymore because they're just a weaker version of JJ. They're dodge attack has like no I frames (and is GB vulnerable if in heavy hit stun), does a pathetic 9 damage, its not good on offense like its marketed to be. The UB light is basically useless against new gen players and a free light parry against pc players. Dash forward light is too slow and not enhanced, so another useless move. The CC property on their dodge attack rarely comes into play. Really this character just spams UB heavies, thats all they have, and an undodgeable zone, but thats a free parry from neutral and is only really useful in team fights. Despite all this, Zhanhu is still a strong dom pick thanks to his feats and hitboxes, they just arent crazy strong. Raider has not been power crept, he's just not brain dead like he was when his rework came out, once all his nerfs hit a lot people stopped playing him because they thought he was bad. He is still an insane dom character
I don't think Zanhu dodges are bad, it's orochi and pirate ones that are just too good, this is so easy to spam and give such invicibility, as well as dealing insane damage around you it's kind of ridiculous
his movement is super fun. as someone who plays a lot of movement shooters having a character with crazy movement is fun. i be playing TOO MUCH FOR Z BLOCK when playing him. he’s actually a well balanced hero unlike other characters like him
Ive been maining zhanhu eversince the bone spirits outfit came out and ive learned how to really play him and he is an amazing hero, hes not op but quite good and underrated in my opinion . i wish zhanhu had the same i frames or same dodge recovery after any attacks
I would like to play Zhanhu because I like her animations and armour (the skin is fire but I don’t have it so rip) but everything she has is just overshadowed by other characters. Forward dodge attack/bash mixup is far better on tiandi and Orochi than zhanhu. And the unblockable finisher attacks seem better on JJ cuz of his evasion tools, sifu and dodge attack.
I honestly still love playing Zhanhu, his unpredictability mixed with the few things he has sets him apart from other heroes, forcing you to use your ENTIRE kit. I almost got GM solely with Zhanhu, but got hardstuck because, well… Warlord exists. Also he has the best drip in the game
Zhanhu T3 needs a rework, it’s so bad, even if you use all fire feats, it never does enough. Why can’t they just allow it to be sharpen blade, but fire damage instead? It would still be useful and go with his T1, or make it so when you use Dragons breath it slows down the speed of fire tick by 50% while also still increasing damage against burning targets.
I honestly don't see any reason to use any other T3 feat than Nukkabei, or whatever the feat is called that gives you stamina back on hits. Honestly, Zhanhu really can't emit too much pressure without it. I think Zhanhu can do three chain feints before running out of stam (heavy attack, heavy feint, heavy attack, heavy feint etc), where as a hero like Hito can do around a dozen or so heavies. At least with the stam back you can usually get people down to near one shot with proper reads.
@@HoneyDog I use longbow to pair with fiery tusk, and as a feint option when I faint my heavy unblockable. I use the gear perk endurance for stamina but for hito I use fast recover since her tier 3 spirit shroud is a permanent bastion that gives 20% def instead of 10% my gear perks for hito are Bulk-up, vengeful, and shields up, only shields up so when I leave revenge my vengeful has more shield. Another good tier 3 option for hito is heal on block but using it with bulk-up isn’t very worth it since that extra heal will be better suited for last stand cause that 4 hp goes a long way when you have vengeful and 40% defense boost, but back to the main point of never using Fiery breath, making it deal fire damage like sharpen blade is mostly about making it pair well with his other fire feats, and making it actual viable option kinda like orochi and hit option to get longbow, slip through or sharpens blade, longbow and slip through are clearly better but having the option of a extra damage in bleed is always nice especially when bleed damage stacks was better, also a amazing build to melt people and the breach commander/guardian/event commander, use Aramusha with sharpen blade, deadly, juggernaut, and fear itself, that is the highest possible DPS in the game out of any character, since aramusha himself already has the highest chain DPS with 30 damage every side heavy that are 700 ms in chain
I never understood why I can play kensei wield a giant katana swing it hella far in front and behind me yet hardly ever external hit with exceptions of course but then orochi will do a raw heavy and cleave the team from the other side of the obj.... Nerf NErf NERf NERF, ALSO DELETE HITOKIRI ALREADY UBISOFT.
The devs really need to stop giving the new hero’s so much advantage over other hero’s. Like why does everyone now have a dodge attack or some annoying way to get out of what should be a punish. Like if I miss a bash I can just throw a tracking attack or something like that. It’s just annoying
i loved Zhanhu its my second hero who get rep 70 after Aramusha when rep 70 was been actual and funny thinks zhan its second hero who get rep 80 because first was Medjey =) . And Sol, what did think about aramusha in reflection orochi hero skin blade ? Its hint on ara rework or what ? I soooooo mutch long time dont play on ara and hes valuable or trash ?
I just highly disagree Zhan is honestly slept on right now, Zhan used to suffer from not being able to bash after blocking lights but now that zhans bash is faster he can. Zhan also has amazing peel with the zone for team fights. Not to mention 99% of people are not parrying zhans dodge attack as well. However I do agree Roach is extremely unbalanced right now recoveries need to be toned down. The only counter to roach is Zerk right now yet it’s still extremely hard to touch that character in team fights Zhan is pretty good as well forward dodge into zone is great
@@KimJongUn823 also depends on what dodge attack too but even if so zhans recovery is so good on whiff he can deflect the dodge attacks most of them at least.
As someone who has been playing team fighting games for a good 20 years now from Jedi Knight Academy to GunZ to Chivalry 1 and 2, Mordhau, BDO, FH etc...I know Orochi is where all heroes should be, and should have been from the beginning. The amount of different moves most heroes have is incredibly pathetic and getting out-played should be down to you not having been able to deal with the situation, not your character simply providing no moves for the situation.
The most overlooked character in the entire game. Unblockable lights, undodgable and unblockable heavies that soft feint into GB. Undodgable zone, 50/50 dodge attack, neutral bash. One of the strongest/cheapest characters in the game.
Can someone explain why he said you shouldn’t parry unless it’s a 1v1? Are some moves not parryable when you’re getting jumped? Just started playing again only put a few hours in at launch I’ll say it’s a lot more fun now after grinding souls games 😂
Ooooohh that's a fairly interesting looking Zhanhu ! 😯 i had no idea you could make them look like that 😸 i made mine look like an imperial secret police 😸
It was a outfit that wasn’t meant to be in the game it was a boss during a event and somehow became a wearable outfit you had to be lucky and get every part randomly from drops
Idk why people think zhanhu is bad. His undodgable neutral zone with with his unblockable light can save braindead team mates from feeding revenge. He has three projectiles. He’s next to bp oathbreakers for stopping brain dead teammates. His only issue is her dodge attack not moving very far.
I'm a main orochi, I would like to see you play modern orochi. I honestly don't think Orochi is that good and I've noticed that despite you always trying to add variety, you have your favs. As you've said, people like to play easier heroes. I feel like I've lost the essence of my character, and I would like some guidance beyond the ass who says you're just bad in comments or gives lazy advice. Sometimes, I get inspiration by watching you.
Orochi might be the best character in the game right now. Top unblockable for pressure which can be entered after any opener, also has really nice damage. He has three different ways to I-frame attacks (backwards storm rush, backstep light, side dodge attacks), has extremely quick, safe, and high damage side heavy finishers, has a safe forward bash 50/50 mixup that can catch dodge attacks with stormdash, as well as being immune to GB on whiffed forward bashes as long as you still input your light. Pair all of this with the best dodge recovery in the game, which can start at 200 milliseconds (recovery on 2/10th's of a second), and the fact that he can enter every single combo he has through any of his dodge recoveries- yeah, he's probably the best character in the game at the moment.
Anyone not remember how zhanhu dodge attack was just instantaneously? It was basically impossible to get a light parry because the recovery was insane. So now comparing orochi and zhanhu just remember how insane zhanhu used to be he needed to be nerfed
Playing zhanhu is like playing pretty much any other hero… but it’s worse. Pretty Everything zhanhu can do can be done by other heroes more effectively
Look for a video about the lingo. "Recovery" is how long it takes before you can input another action after any action. Some moves "cancel" this wait time. Orochi can cancel most recovery times with a dodge.
it's just being able to dodge and continue attacking after making a move that would normally have you wait before you're able to make another input ex: LAWBRINGER has a 3 combo heavy where after throwing the third heavy you cant attack or change your guard for a few seconds. Orochi doesn't have this problem for most of his attacks
Part of me wishes afeera was a worse character so people would complain less about her. I love her drip and her weapon combo but I understand the frustration when going against her and other good characters.
Look man ima keep it real, this was more about how Orochi is a skilless character, and i do agree with you but you should TELL people on how to deal with it too, the more people that learn how to deal with him the better. If people want I'll leave a massive comment with details on how to deal with skilless Orochis and tricks for the rare few that do know what to do.
I dont think he is skilless. I said he can have a high skill curve, but also a really low skill floor making him very good at all tiers of play. There's definitely some counterplay to him, but he is S tier for a reason because you need to play perfectly against him especially without the most coordinated team.
@SolidSol69 saying he has a low skill floor is pretty much the same as just saying he's skilless but I get your point, regardless of that I still think you should mention how to deal with him or at least how to deal with those at the lower end of said skill floor, for example if he's just hitting the storm spam a cheeky light or zone can help ward him off. And in regards to his bash mix up you can keep your guard to the left or right and as soon as you see his guard dissappear hit a light, you will either trade and reset to neutral or straight up interrupt and put him in your chain pressure. Further more If you're in neutral keep your guard to your right and you've cut off his zone doing direct damage and can potentially get an easier parry. In a team fight just either ignore him via externally blocking him and occasionally swapping to hit him when he gets greedy with an unblock. Ironically I love my LB when dealing with oro in a gank, go bash someone else then lock onto orochi and slap him with the hyper armor heavy. I'm not here to argue with you or anything I just want to help people that deal with orochi spam, especially in the lower tiers of play where I've had several friends get mad after getting newb crushed by a spamming oro.
@frostblasts you must be new friend, if your orochis are just doing it when ever you attack I reccomend you throw a heavy and feint it, now I don't know how good you are at parrying hut you have 3 choices here, you can 1 parry, 2 dodge attack, 3 dodge without attacking(this is called and empty dodge) from there you can light them (or heavy if you got that parry and then pressure them with combo chains)
damn, the addiction to for honor is coming back. Good that my graphic card can not run it smoothly anymore and i dont want to waste so much mmoney on a new one lol
On console orochi is just busted the chances I get a bad orochi is allmost none and I just wish they never re worked him because I used to main him and though he was perfectly balanced and now he's just too op and doesn't fit the roster anymore
Zhanhu to me should be reworked legitimately whats the point of unblockable lights when light spam is easier on most heroes and light parry checks are dumb as shit and honestly having slower lights just makes it easier tbh I rather him be like a a nimble vanguard type he should have fire in his movelist on some moves perhaps replace his unblockable lights with flaming dot lights or hell give the duse a dodge cancel and remove his dodge bullshjt because he is just a worse orochi and Tiandi does the dodge specialist thing better. Hell rework aint even gotta be much like it could be like Wardens newest buff like 2-3 new moves fix some other moves up and we could have an actually cool dude who isn't just a read check. Note I love this hero in cocnept and style but his execution was incredibly mid and he doesn't feel special like other heroes
Hearing the phrase “good orochi” is exactly why I know this game will never be good. In fact, hearing complaints about other characters while the shaman is still the same as always reminds me why this game is just an outright failure overall.
I swear Warden dodge is bugged that he has lower I-frames than all heroes. Plus bashing after dodge removes the s. His uncharged bash is so reactable too. His charged bash is easy to punish with lights. His bash is easily broken by all other bashes too. I could finish a match without sending bashes, I just faint all bash into GB.
@@frostblasts wardens double light does way too little damage. Even eating 3 in a row will net less than 50 damage.
Short answer : Orochi exists
Orochi is not even the best pick in the game😭
Still better than zanhu@@sirPaul-x5h
@paoloditano8610 yea, but he does counter most of her kit tbh, the only thing he can do much about would be the undodgable zone, and even then if the orochi is confident, he'd deflect the shit out of it...
Rep 70 zahn here, so was actually thinking this myself as to why i havent played them in a long while now and have come to understand alot of zahns kit worked back then when most characters either didnt have a dodge attack, or simply werent used to their kit yet back then compared to orochi where he can kinda do whatever they want tbh
You think they should bring back he's deflect ?
@adrianguerrero2949 I don't think they took out the deflect, it's been the same since Zahn came out
@@biaseagleIII no he had side bash deflects. Those where removed
@adrianguerrero2949 ahh well he has the light and heavy deflects that give 22 damage so I don't miss it too much but it would be neat to have it in case of a ledge or to setup for someone else I suppose
@@biaseagleIII those aren't deflect. Those are the same thing Kansai has. Superior block or guard
Orochi may be better but I will play zhanhu because they got better drip 🥵
Crazy how you bring them up, I've been grinding them since the first title update because I got the white bone spirit armor, and I've rarely seen zhanhus around
Zhanhu is like the kensei of the wu Lin, so pretty much suuuper balanced, not too strong and not too weak
making me down bad with that arcueid pic tbh
Zhanhu is really bad..zhanhu is a noob killer because they can’t even react to heavy attacks let alone unblockable lights, but at higher level play, even at the causal level anyone who can parry lights shuts down Zhanhu completely, you either parry the light or interrupt the heavy unblockable, she has no opener because the bash is very reactable and her zone is a free deflect or parry

Regardless congratulations on being good with Zhanhu but the character is still bad, your entire argument is if someone good with bad hero then bad hero good, someone can be bad with shaman, doesn’t mean she’s a bad character as she’s one of the strongest
lawbringer is nothing but pain bro.
P.S.Even tho its pain to play LB in 1v1,I still enjoy to struggle with him, more than I enjoy to olay actually good 1v1 character, makes decent challenge and makes u feel alive after every win, because its really can be hard to win with him
Winning with Lawbringer is more satisfying since you're aware you won due to skill instead of hero pick
Isn't that the rule, light parry gives heavy and heavy parry gives light@@rage_tv4493
The fact that LB and Ocelot exist in the same game is idiotic
They feel like characters from different instalments of the same franchise, but the games are 20+ years apart.
its so weird coming back to this game like years later.
I hope my comment on the video from the other day inspired this 😅😅 I love you and thank you for spreading the love to my main 🙏🙏
Nah but he was definitely high on the tier list he was always pretty good in team fights like im still winning dominion at like 93% with him
Yeah he was a top pick before the orochi buff.
4 things I'd do for Zhanhu,
1- Feintable zone; BP has his feintable chain heavy, HL and Jorm have feintable Zones on startup, Glad can feint his zone after whiffing the bash, it'd be a fair implementation.
Maybe his deflect can pour gunpowder on people and light en on fire for 20 damage ?
@@legoomanngamer3716yea easy all superior blocks do fire damage
He's got deflects/bash/and heavy dot feats. People just don't use most of his kit
Never imagined people had motionsickness from playing on a 2D screen, that's crazy
I play Zhanhu quite often. I grinded breach from rep 2 to 8 so I could get that stupid outfit, I'm playing the character.
'member the days when being a good orochi required skill? now you just go beyblade on the whole map
I just realized you whispering see you later is a shrek reference
Centurion still costs steel. They won't touch him.
@@manz7860 hes had lots of changes but he's still kept his identity. Im annoyed with the devs nerfing or removing a defensive heroes tools when it was those abilities that made them fun and unique in the first in place just to give them a generic op move another character has.

@manz7860 I mean lawbro easily has the best unblockable in the game so ig that can be considered "op"
Fucken impossible to fight him as warden
solid sol you should do a tutorial on the basics on ganking bc i feel like no matter what i do its always the wrong move 😬
I don't think Zanhu dodges are bad, it's orochi and pirate ones that are just too good, this is so easy to spam and give such invicibility, as well as dealing insane damage around you it's kind of ridiculous
his movement is super fun. as someone who plays a lot of movement shooters having a character with crazy movement is fun. i be playing TOO MUCH FOR Z BLOCK when playing him. he’s actually a well balanced hero unlike other characters like him
love you big sol

Ah yes, genhu. I like the comparison being done here between the hybrid, an assassin, and a heavy.
Everything we need, endless battles a gladiator arena and 3 new characters being a Spartan an indian with tomahawks snd revolutionary soldier
i loved Zhanhu its my second hero who get rep 70 after Aramusha when rep 70 was been actual and funny thinks zhan its second hero who get rep 80 because first was Medjey =) .
The only counter to roach is Zerk right now yet it’s still extremely hard to touch that character in team fights Zhan is pretty good as well forward dodge into zone is great
Forward dodge zone trades with the dodge attack most of the time from my experience, now if ppl are empty dodging obviously thats a different story
@@KimJongUn823 also depends on what dodge attack too but even if so zhans recovery is so good on whiff he can deflect the dodge attacks most of them at least.
I have one reason for this game is order doesn't show Factions Wu-Lin or Outland, orders only have 3 factions.
Zhanhu is like a very decent Balanced character imo and not over tuned.
Yeah he's actually fine not every character has to be everyone first pick
I am currently playing baldurs gate while watching. It's safe to say I was Hella confused for a few seconds there 15:15
As someone who has been playing team fighting games for a good 20 years now from Jedi Knight Academy to GunZ to Chivalry 1 and 2, Mordhau, BDO, FH etc...I know Orochi is where all heroes should be, and should have been from the beginning.
The amount of different moves most heroes have is incredibly pathetic and getting out-played should be down to you not having been able to deal with the situation, not your character simply providing no moves for the situation.
Meanwhile characters like lawbringer get nerfed into nothing. Too bad too. He had a decent kit too.
How do you get that armour set?! It looks great
Just give lb his light chains he was gonna get from tg, and revert alot of changes that were made to him.
Started playing him today, was cool, good for ganks
What is that unholy version of down by the river?
The most overlooked character in the entire game. Unblockable lights, undodgable and unblockable heavies that soft feint into GB. Undodgable zone, 50/50 dodge attack, neutral bash. One of the strongest/cheapest characters in the game.
Man what is that helmet ? It looks gorgeous but i can't find it in game
Can someone explain why he said you shouldn’t parry unless it’s a 1v1? Are some moves not parryable when you’re getting jumped? Just started playing again only put a few hours in at launch I’ll say it’s a lot more fun now after grinding souls games 😂
idk how they buff tf out of orochi like that and leave him like that like its fun to play against and balanced, same with JJ 💀
Short answer: people aren’t good enough to play outside the meta.
Recently have fallen in love w HL since the rework
Is Varangian really that P2W?
It depends on whose playing it.
Me? Probably not, I can't seem to get the flow correct with her.
Kenzo? Scary af and devastating.
Playing zhanhu is like playing pretty much any other hero… but it’s worse. Pretty Everything zhanhu can do can be done by other heroes more effectively
Funny how the wu lin are the most struggling faction these days, seems karmic
The consequences of releasing four underdeveloped characters at the same time
Can someone please explain to me, what is dodge recovery cancel? I’m kinda new here and simply can’t find info about this specific thing
Basically covering your whiffs with dodge inputs
Thanks mates, appreciate that
Part of me wishes afeera was a worse character so people would complain less about her. I love her drip and her weapon combo but I understand the frustration when going against her and other good characters.
hello ''anime expert''
Orochi backstep into light is too much for me.
@@TheCarrionKing27 thanks!

Down by the river
My Booshi needs recovery to hidden stance buff. Seems right.
Orochi only get a slight damage nerf is an insult to the player base he’s gotta get a harder slap on the wrist
They need to make his zone damage back to 14 and make it so he doesn't get dodge cancels on whiffed dodge attack
Zhanu is diet orochi just as pk is diet shammy mommy.
"People who wanna limit themselves to Lawbringer, god rest your soul"
Me: AHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa
Idk why? Zhanhu is good but also alot of people don't play certain characters or alot in a facton I guess in this case the wulin.
Hearing the phrase “good orochi” is exactly why I know this game will never be good. In fact, hearing complaints about other characters while the shaman is still the same as always reminds me why this game is just an outright failure overall.
Warden might actually have the most useless dodge in the game
I swear Warden dodge is bugged that he has lower I-frames than all heroes. Plus bashing after dodge removes the s. His uncharged bash is so reactable too. His charged bash is easy to punish with lights. His bash is easily broken by all other bashes too.
I could finish a match without sending bashes, I just faint all bash into GB.
@@frostblasts wardens double light does way too little damage. Even eating 3 in a row will net less than 50 damage.
You dont need to respect wardens level 1 bash if you're have a good amount of health. It's easily dodged and is a free gb->heavy Especially compared to high pick heroes with confirmed heavies on level 1 bash. Hito, gryphon, afeera, highlander for example.
And then to top it all off. All of this is compounded by terrible stamina.
Actually,LB dodge bash is much worse,I-frames on this is absolutely freaking bad,and its also GB-able,so only really good thing about LB dodge bash,is better GB vulnerability than Wardens, but still by I-frames,LBs worse than Wardens,u can't dodge shit with LB dodge bash
@@ceryage2796 LB has a great dodge bash. Trying to feint into gb against lawbringer isn't very advisable.
@@manz7860 I literally said that Lb does have great gb protection on dodge bash, but s in this thing is just horrible,u can't dodge shit with this, even Tiandi dodge light is better at actually dodging
For honor is the definition of a toxic relationship
Let me fact check something. I’m pretty sure Zhanhu’s zone is a 360 hit box
Can someone explain why people say no one plays lb? I see a lot of them in dominion i play him at honestly he seems fine i have amost 3kda in dominion. I think he is good a tier for ganks the hyperarmor is nice shove can fuck with revenge externals are aids one of the best revenge punishes.
Give him more i-frames, remove his gb vulnerability on his dodge attack and increase his recovery speed, oh and make his zone cost less stam
Do y’all think kyoshin needs a buff?
I think he needs touch ups to his kit. Nerfs to fujin cuts, and buff to his bash. More importantly, new animations for his reused heavies/lights
So what I hear is make characters harder to use and less safe? I could agree, but Ubisoft won’t listen regardless
There’s truly too many dodge attacks. Why do we now have shield hero’s and giant staff/halberd wielders dancing around like assassins.
Some characters like nobu, zhanhu, raider, etc.
Just feel like they are in this odd zone where they are good but not good enoguht to be metta yet not are enought to be niche picks they are in this weird limbo
Nobu is actually high tier due to her high damage and great teamfighting capabilities. The other 2 I will agree though.
I dont like playing safe characters
Literally 2 Outlanders are pay to win the other 2 are kinda mid especially pirate
Medjay*
@@cherrycola4476 Affera and Ocelotl are way better than medjay
@Gravelordnito934 no I'm saying Medjay is mid
@@cherrycola4476 yeah I'm rep 80 with him he neutral honestly people overreact to his strength especially now that his chain lights don't have hyper armor
@@Gravelordnito934 Yeah, but I still feel like pirates Is still up there
I play zhanhu to show pesky roaches that I can choose the worse character and still clap them
I have literally never played orochi out of the story mode
I dont get the hate for Vangrarian Guard. But i feel like its because warden actually is a decent matchup against her
opener and finishing CC lights are stupid. CC dodge attack is also braindead. Massive hitbox on unblockable heavy is insane. The duruation of the full block and subsequent "stun" inflicted on a player is absurd too.
The hero got like 3 moves that’s it 🥱
This is why people do not like orichi, mans needs more nerfs lol which is pretty ridiculous. Zhanu more balanced orochi is not. This is why.
How did you get this skin?
Limited edition event. 😂
@@SolidSol69 well someone said a even but making sure it’ll come back
Big thanks for sol video and hope orochi get a big nerf from op to balanced
