You are so funny to watch. Great comedic placement of the camera, and how you haphazardly hold EVERYTHING up to the camera. After I started watching your videos, I found Dionne and Quitta and have started working on building/painting furniture to supplement my lack of income! Thanks!
Deb, you were the first person I found online that actually taught me something. I miss some of your super think outside the box ideas...(sea shell glam chandelier was my all time favorite) You are a trend setter girl. I have followed you a long time and watched your growth. You don't worry about Quitta because you are your own person...you have awesome ideas and creative juices flowing thru you on a regular basis. Bravo...this piece is lovely!
Spectacular job Deb. I understand other diy artists selling their tutorials cause that’s how they earn their living, but I truly truly appreciate you showing us how it’s done. Not everyone can afford to pay to learn. Absolutely love you Deb. Keep up the amazing work. 😍😍😍😍
Incorrect. Tutorials are customer service and free advertising. They make their money off of selling their product which is 1. Customer service 2. Furniture (in this case) 3. The supplies used to do DIY a project (again, in this case) 4. Customer service! After 20+ yrs of starting and growing one successful business after another, I can assure you that no matter what business you may be in, Customer Service is ALWAYS your #1 product.
Hey Debi, the story of my life, a day late and a dollar short. I’m 63 yrs young and barely hope to get started the beginning of the year, but just to let you know, I want to be just like you when I grow up. Better late than never right? Luv the piece, inspired by you , and enjoy your videos immensely ❤️💜❣️💐🌸
I think Quitta not sharing her method turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It forced YOU to turn to YOUR own "inner artist", (you know, the one who got you on TV?), who by the way does amazing work!
Obsessing over a tiny detail? The story of my life....there is a quote that says "perfect is enemy of good" I always try to have that in mind!!! Very nice job!
Absolutely beautiful! You're fun to watch too. Very engaging. I wanted to share a technique that I used some time ago. I froze some acrylic paint till it was hard, then used a razor blade to shave off thin slices and let them drop onto my canvas. I let them sit where they were till they melted, then did a very minor bit of touching up. Very cool results! Oh, and when I'm painting with a water-based paint and have mixed some colors on my palette that I'd like to continue using (or if I don't want to waste paint) I always put it in the freezer. When I need it again, I take it out and within 20 minutes it's thawed I can use it again.
Love the colours you used...and yes always bloopers when I paint furniture too, but I find they usually work out in the end and sometimes turn out for the better. That's how you learn and discover new techniques. I really like the camera angle you use too. It's different and makes it easy to see the whole piece.
Yes I most defintely I obsess with my work. Im a virgo!! Im not so good at letting it go and just letting the piece evolve. If there's a small part bothering me I often walk away and have a cup of tea then come back fresh. Love you work Debi wish you posted more xx
Thank you ! I love it ! ❤❤Debbie, i wish to see your pieces more, a picture from distance to figure out how it locks , how it fits in my virtual room etc.
I just too a look at some of her Shabby designs on her FB page and her work is spectacular! You touched on her style but you made it your own. I think this is a good try especially for a first time out with no directions or instructions. You're an artist in your own right and i love your work.
WOW! Now THAT is stunning. I’m so envious! Gorgeous colours and it’s turned out amazing. I was so looking forward to seeing you do this and it didn’t disappoint. Worth the wait! PLEASE bring your paints to England! Love you, Girl.xxx
Debi I'm known for being obsessive about every little thing! It takes me so long to get a piece into the shop people complain lol. I LOVEEEEEEE your videos and secretly worship you!
Hi Deb, really love how this piece turned out.. looks like blending is no longer a problem for ya.. lol Your skills just keep on growing.. how wonderful... thanks Quetta for the inspiration to Deb... this piece is fabulous another great video
I would love to see the over distressing part, and hear you talk about what you didn't like, and then show us how you "fixed" it. You love the imperfections so much in the furniture, but I love the "imperfections" in you, too!!!
Debi this is beautiful!!!! I love your vision for each piece of furniture you work on!!! Yes I too can work on something so long and at the end I see one little bitty "mishap" and can't seem to move on until I "fix" it! LOL! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!!!!
I so love your piece. I am going to have to order some paint when I figure out what to colors paint my bookshelves and carved wood trunk. I think this would look great on the trunk.
I absolutely adore you, your personality and your art! I over-do things and have to start over ALL THE TIME! Hahaa! Thank you for showing your technique on this beautiful piece!💜
Whenever I find myself obsessing with a particular thought that's really not helpful I stop, take a breath and relax, and then I visualise being on a speed boat, and all the little random chaotic thoughts that really don't matter are the bits of water spray shooting out to the sides, and just whizzing way back into the distance behind me. The bigger picture, what's really important is what I see in front of me, the lake, the water, the view in the distance, the front of the boat pounding on the water as I fly along toward my destination. What's in front of me is what I need to focus on and what I choose to focus on, and it's beautiful.
This is my all time favorite piece... AMAZABALLS!!! Knocked it out of the park!! Beautiful!! WOW!!!! Have to get this work done so I can go paint!!! #Inspiredtocreate
I don't know how I missed this video before, I love this! That color is gorgeous. I have Kissing Booth and Bohemian Blue and will definitely be trying this.
Bought your paint as a christmas present from my husband to me. And I can't wait to try this I have to admit I'm a little bit scared though not used to try in the whole layered chippy look but I love it. Maybe I'll have to pour a glass to help with some courage LOL.
Omg I have been wanting to see a tutorial just like this one because i want my furniture to look just like this! Guuuuurl youve made my LIFE! Im so excited to try this🎉🎉🎉 thank you thank you thaaaaank you❤❤❤
This is my favorite piece of yours this far!! Deb, those colors are amazing together!! You knocked it right outta the park w/this 1 hun...hope u have a blessed & beautiful Christmas😘😎😁😍
Hun I understand about the do-over part I always say to my friends if I’m creating something that as a rule I will mess up 3and get 1 good one from the bunch! Lol! Anyway I just want to comment on this and say how wonderfully creative you are and what an incredibly beautiful piece you have created... you have so much talent and your funny as crap!
So beautiful! I've been wanting to change the look of my furniture to be vibrant and colorful. I believe there's a store not far from me that sells your paint. So glad I found your channel. I was looking for an ombre how to and found you. I'm excited to try your paint!
WOW!!!! I absolutely LOVE this, I just made my first order of your paint, 4 pints, 2 patinas and a big top, I can't wait to try them all. I have about 10 pieces of furniture stacked in my room that I can't wait to attack and make look just as amazing :) I love your video's and Jami's also. I'll check out Quitta and Dionne's work next. I'm making a lot of mental notes and have so many saved video's to rewatch and paint along with

You're such a nut. Love your awkward humor and your fearlessness.
You're so funny and fun and real, Debi! Oh, and you're a fabulous furniture artist as well!!! :)
You are so funny to watch. Great comedic placement of the camera, and how you haphazardly hold EVERYTHING up to the camera. After I started watching your videos, I found Dionne and Quitta and have started working on building/painting furniture to supplement my lack of income! Thanks!
