Thank you for this informative video. I don't watch very many videos about Parkinsons, let alone comment but It was so refreshing to hear your guest, Helen Matthews talk about her friend Toms discovering that Parkinson's' "presents" itself in each person differently..... It's very discouraging to be diagnosed with Parkinson's and have your doctor tell you that this is what to expect with this diagnosis, first A will happen then probably B, etc. as if it follows a certain protocol. Everyone is different and their journey with this disease will be different. luckily my neurologist was very encouraging and told me to think positively, reduce my stress, meditate, exercise, and stay away from the gloom and doom stories of Parkinson's. He also told me that there are over 100 different movement disorders that they place under the umbrella of Parkinson's'. What I'm trying to say to my fellow Parkinsons brothers and sisters is that this is not a death sentence, keep a positive outlook. Every day I am grateful for my life.

Is there a Branch located in the United States?

There is not a branch of Cure Parkinson's in the US at present, however they collaborate closely with many US-based organisations working towards a similar goal. In our most recent video (bit.ly/HelpCP_YT), Helen lists some ways in which you can get involved from the US if you are interested.

That's the biggest remaining question. As you can see in the video, there are a number of organisations working towards this together. Make sure that you're subscribed to our channel and we'll bring you any news and updates!
