I like watching your videos , my uncle had a small (compared to your )dairy farm in Kentucky mid 60's till around 92 ! I loved to help him when I was a kid ! How very different it is today ! In early 60's his parlor was modern had the milkers an lines going to a I think 5000 gal tank that the dairy came an picked up the milk like every 3rd day !
Most people don't understand the life commitment it is to be a dairy farmer you milk twice a day 365 rain or shine flood or blizzard ! My uncle loved every cow an took the best of care he knew how ! But Thank You for your videos and being a Dairy Farmer an by default a jack of all trades , that is a Farmer .

Mice are the cause of many electrical headaches on our grain farm as well! Whenever we experience sudden "sensor" failures, we usually reach for the multimeter first. Simple continuity and voltage tests will usually direct you to the faulty component pretty quick. And more often than not, it's a wire that's been chewed apart 🐭 A couple wire connectors and some electrical tape, and we're back in business!

Those bot feed pushers are nice but seem a little fragile for a dairy barn environment. I liked your temp solution. I'd keep that handy just in case. If the robot breaks down again I would paint flames on it and enter it in Battle Bots. It will feel good to see it destroyed. You should find a good used lawn tractor for a couple hundred and attach the blade to that. Easy/cheap/ the cowboy way..............

My question to you is do you shake your fresh milk before using it? I remember being hung over from a night of fun and took a long drink out of the container and got all heavy cream. Maybe if you install a stiff rubber blade on the bottom of the PLOW FRAME might also help the situation. Do you have a standard plow for the Skid Loader with a rubber bottom blade that you could use? Using a standard Snow Plow you could also use the mushroom bottom shoe's to adjust the height of the blade. WHAT DO YOU THINK?? Just food for thought....

A snow plow blade for your skid steer would probably work wonders for feed pushing and also you could push snow with it 🙂

I was wondering how you like the mattresses you put in, i got a price for them this morning boy they are not cheap but they are without a doubt the best around on paper. Are your cows happy with them?

That's a good idea for pushing in the feed. I've seen other operations doing the same thing!!
