No Man's Sky also captures the Star Trek/Starflight feel with more modern hardware. I'd love to have been able to play a Star Trek-branded space exploration game along the vein of those games.

i think the only thing that could have made resurgence better would have been a bigger budget.
That may not be the "only thing", but it certainly could have helped.
