- All six of Mama Goose's eggs have all hatched successfully! The final gosling made its way into the world around 11am this morning! The goose that laid 6 golden eggs, now has 6 incredible golden goslings! The goslings are very active and squirmy and are going to be walking all over Mom! About 24-48 hours after hatching, the goslings will take a leap of faith and jump off the nest. Both parents will call & vocalize to the goslings from the ground which prompts them all to jump one right after another! It is an amazing leap of faith to watch! The goslings are very light & will flap their wings going down and remarkably survive the jump due to having a high percentage of chondroid bone, a springy skeletal tissue intermediate between cartilage and bone. Thus they will bounce when they land and immediately start to follow Mom to the water! Incredible! Thank you for watching!

Excuse me, but have long wanted to ask, What they eat from hatching, until they jump down and go to the river ?
This was so helpful to read 😊, And this Wonderful read really helps you to understand certain facts ❤, Tysvm for sharing Dear Lady Hawk 🥰🌹🐥 Greatly appreciate your sharing with us .. I wish you a Wonderful Sunday my friend 💫❤💞🌸😇
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful educational read that answered many questions and curiosities I have always had about these magnificent geese that I love so much, dear Lady Hawk. Love and blessings to you and all here. 🌺🌸💙💙🤗
Wow very informative!!
Thanks, Lady Hawk🌻
I sure wish this Mama hadn't decided to take over an eagle nest 90 feet above the ground. It was so scary watching those goslings take that leap last year. Fortunately five of the six survived.😮
My sentiments exactly. My heart breaks 💔 for the ones that didn't survive the jump the past two years 😢
It looks like 5 out of 6 made it this year as well. I watched them jump down but only saw 5 go with the mother and father.

So many cute goslings!! 😍🥰😍 I bet they’re so comfy with their mom right now and their siblings, so precious 😊 thanks for sharing Lady Hawk!
My great grandkids said - ''Out of all avian species, ducks and geese hatchlings are *thee cutest!* They are the most fearless too, especially when they have to make the *Fall of Faith* from their nest high in a tree canopy to join momma on the ground. They are truly amazing daredevils!''
Mom Decorah`s legacy lives on probably the last year
nothing quite like having all your nest mates clamoring all over you :)
The babies here in our Northern California pond have hatched today as well! 4 fluffy little sweethearts.
So adorable and very active! Can't wait for the Leap of Faith ~ and thank you so much, Lady Hawk, for the great link! Love learning as much as I can about our incredible Goose family🙏🩷
I'm dreading the "leap of faith." Usually, some of them don't make it. 🥺
Aren't they magnificent!
Yes they are!! I love watching them - perfect golden fluff lings!!
It’s amazing they’ll be out of the nest and walking, swimming, and eating in just a few days.
I did not know about their high level of chondroid bones 👍 how interesting. I am a bit less anxious for the gooslings jump 😊
Me to😊❤🕊️🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🌿🌄🎉.
Welcome to the world little goslings! Congrats Mom and Dad Goose!!😀😀😀
TY Lady Hawk! For me ... the goslings jumping and the loons riding on the parents backs are probably some of my all time favorite hi-lights!
Она так грациозно выгдядит, как королева

They are just adorable! ❤ I could hear a loon calling in the background. This is a sweet taste of Spring for me. Thank you Lady Hawk, and everyone else who made this possible. ❤
Do you mean the birds that start calling at 03:20? Those actually are Mourning Doves - another lovely sound of spring!

How adorable 💛💛💛💛💛💛 after watching chick #3 die earlier today at Fort St Vrain nest this is a much welcome sight 🥰😍😍 Is this the nest where the intruder laid an egg during a dispute a few weeks ago?
They are so beautiful 🙂
❤❤❤
So adorable
When are they expected to jump out?
Lady Hawk thank you for update and your detailed comment which precisely and smoothly allows us to be prepared for the leap of faith😁Nature is amazing and have solutuion for everything🦆 Wish you lovely Sunday my dear friend👥🌿🍓🥯☕🌹
Oh Wow! Awesome! Such beauties. So adorable 🥰❤😊
I really miss watching our eagles from this nest however I love these geese 😍🥰💞
i just love how small their wings are ~ hard to believe they are going to fly one day ~
i live close to a 200 acre city park & visit 1-3 tymes a week ~
there are resident ducks peacocks & geese all which have babys ~ i saw my first goose family last week with 5 little goslings geeselings looking about a week old ~ i always like to ask them where are your arms ~
i always take wild bird seed to the park with me to feed the birds & have been able now to feed the peacocks out of my hand ~ i can locate the ducklings by following their loud cute squeaking ~
last year i missed the bluebells because i was too busy hunting ducklings + geeselings ~
the different goose familys are friends & all hang out together ~ last year there were 3 of these familys & i could keep count & distinquish between the familys by the number & size of the babys ~
by feeding them i can get them close to me to enable me to take photos or video or just watch ~
most exciting when i see the first pin feathers ! ~
after a certain age tho when the kids get big like mom & dad i can never tell who is who anymore ~
i ask them > are you the dad ? ? ? or one of the kids ? ? ? but they tell me ~
we also have a pair of nesting eagles & a heronry for nesting herons plus a nesting owl pair ~
the eagles like to raise havoc in the heronry to grab some take out dinner & causing a great commotion of squawking terror in the heronry ~ i freeze when i hear this dreading the outcome ~ once after such a chaotic disturbance when i looked up
there was one of the eagles with a grey baby heron in its claws ~
the herons like to chomp on the ducklings & goslings so that is why i do a head count each tyme is see those babys ~sometymes its one less each tyme i visit ~
i often come what i call a crime scene which is piles of pin feathers on the ground & sometymes even guts or a beak or even
once a heron baby head & its still attached wing ~ one day last summer i found one of these crime scenes where the pin feathers were so freshly pulled that the inside of them was still liquid ~
all such fascinating & interesting nature before my eyes & in my hands able to touch & discover ~
& this is because of you dear ladyhawk with all your knowledgeable narrations & some trips to google to learn more ~
wskrsnwings is also a go to channel for me as well as martin & susan tyners fascinating raptor rescue & rehabilitation center
channel which is > Enoch Wildlife Rescue / www.gowildlife.org / We Help Critters <
when the birds are well again i just love watching the beautiful release back into the wild ~
Does she feed them?
Where is the other nest? There were 2 nests I thought but can’t seem to locate live stream for one of them any more. Does any one know?
Nevermind
I just found it
Awww.. they are so sweet cute little hearts with beautiful colour 😘😘😘😘😘😍.
Precious! ❤🎉
Did the egg that was laid by the other goose also hatch? Or was that on another nest???
I'm wondering the same thing
@barbarap5278 I left a general comment because I recall there being 2 nests-one that I saw with only one goose and the other that usually had 2. I can’t seem to locate the other one anymore.
@@deemaynard447 Thank you for your reply...
@barbarap5278 I just found it. There are 2
Six jumped, five made it to the creek with mom and dad.
Can someone this camera link please? Thanks!
I thought # 6 is the egg laid by the intruder?
Hi Clicketysplit that is the other goose cam nest! Their eggs should hatch later this week I believe.
@@ladyhawk so there are 2 former eagle nests that are being used by geese?
I wonder which one is from the other goose?😊
Not all of them make it all the time
