This year is flying by. We're at the B batch already.
Since it's under 12 years I'm sure I'll be able to pick this up. I always look forward to these. The C924 will probably be 13 yrs 8 months and I'll never see one. :) Nice review, looking forward to it. Cheers Scott!

Surprising enough the local Indianapolis Costco has this and I didn't see the typical parade lining up to buy..............I purchased a couple for 64.99.
100% worth that all day long. It's still a great bourbon, we're all a bit critical of the ECBP. That price all day long is a buy!
Very underwhelmed with A124 after coming off a phenomenal C923 batch. Looking forward to trying B524 based on the early positive reviews!

I couldn't agree with you more! It's what I tell everyone as well. For what you get at that aprox $75 it's still hard to beat. We've become very age statement dependent with the ECBP rather than focusing on the flavor and what you're really getting for the money. But hey, to each there own! Cheers buddy 🥃

@mybourbonjourney I think it was fabulous. The heavy sweet orange zest I was getting mixed with the oak was outstanding. Great long finish that kept changing as it went. A definite buy all day long. Thanks for your reviews and insights.

I cracked a bottle last night without review influence. It’s delicious. Great finish, super barrel. So much so that I went and got another bottle. Spot on review.

Haven't seen this yet here in Calif. but will definitely pick it up if I can. I did get A124 and really like it a lot. It's somewhat off profile for ECBP but a delicious bourbon in its own right, IMO.

Months was there any improvement in taste? I just got one at retail but it seems from whiskey tube this was one that I should have passed on. This was one of the few positive reviews on it.

The only way to truly know if these lower age statements are making a difference is to do a blind between a few new lower age statement batches B523-B524 (C923 at 13yrs doesn’t count obviously) and a few of the 12 year A121-A123 batches.
It's always a nice way to get to the bottom of it. This feels like a nice bottle, and I hope it continues to open up. Cheers buddy 🥃

Never understood why people get so excited about a few proof points higher and they complain about EC18 being watered down. Theres a reason they proof it down. If you wanna obsess about stats this is a younger ECBP. Point is, palate/profile is everything and this sounds like a tasty batch though. Thanks for the review.

I wasn't impressed with A124. B524 is fantastic.

Im super not cool with the degradation of their quality standards in order to grab more cash. As a result, i am boycotting any of these releases that have below a 12-year age statement.
