Honestly I think there’s one aspect of your videos that gets overlooked: your videography. It’s very clear that you know what you’re doing from your lighting, to your framing, to your multiple angles, and depth of field and boca affects, it’s all beautifully done and makes all of your videos that much more fun to watch!
You know. I once bought into the whole look. I even bought my own little cactus. That shit dies a horrible death within a month. Stank like death. Now I don't believe the hype anymore. Nothing is real!
i`m waiting for punk to happen and sweep away all this 70`s style fluff `n fckin` cats `n curly-whirly colourful softly spoken apple-inspired bollocks. That`s not to say i don`t think PD`s video`s (and himself) are good, because they are but still...After all the nice-ness i wanna roll in some chaotic Simon the Magpie nutty shite kinda shit :)
Mr. Davids, my dude, you have truly got the magic fingers. I could listen to literally anything you play on guitar, even your random noodling around, because you have a way of turning everything you play into sweet music. Thanks for your excellent posts.
This has to be one of THE best unboxing videos I have ever watched. The pedal review is top notch, the sound quality is amazing, and the video editing simply rocks. Wow!
This pedal can produce some cool sounds, sure... but it's the type of pedal that you'll mostly see second hand. Players will buy one, mess around with it for a few days, maybe even a few hours, then sell it if they can't return it to the store. In fact, if I had a store I'd have a no return policy on all this type of effect... bit crushers, Miku pedal, synth effects and so on. The novelty usually wears off very quickly and we're back to our normal gear... the kind that makes the music we get paid to play. EDIT: This is in no way a condemnation of the video. Paul produces some of the best looking videos on RUclips. Truly cinematic much of the time.
Awesome experimentation + review + superb edit too! Thanks for sharing Paul :) Reminds me of a Robert Fripp Quote : "With a note of music, one strikes the fundamental, and, in addition to the root note, other notes are generated: these are called the harmonic series... As one fundamental note contains within it other notes in the octave, two fundamentals produce a remarkable array of harmonics, and the number of possible combinations between all the notes increases phenomenally. With a triad, affairs stand a good chance of getting severely out of hand..."
This pedal fits your particular style of playing just beautifully. Thank you for sharing the track you made with it. Thanks for sharing your gift of teaching with all of us as well.
Awesome video Paul! I always find it hard to use effects like these. But you show, how you can use them not only as "effect" but as really useable texture. Thanks for that!
I picked one of these up a couple weeks ago & am still getting my head around it - great to hear it being used to get some ideas on approach. Wonderful tones as usual Paul
Which strap are you using? I have an Ernie Ball strap that has the same pattern, but the material is very uncomfortable. Nice video as always, by the way!
I'd say that track is in 20/16, but either way, it's lovely. You managed to compose with it in a way that sounded way better than the random noodling of the demo. The clips from the demo had me with a crinkled nose, but that track was right on target.
Great!! Congratulations for that new pedal... I'm sure you'll make some pretty good and crazy sounds with it... I cannot wait to see the "loop" video using these crazy sounds.
Holy cats, the production values in this video are off the charts - Paul, I suspect you have some very serious talent behind the camera and mixer 😊👍. Which is good, because it's not easy to match the talent in front of the camera. 🤘🏻🎸🔥
Watched several of your videos now (including the day you quit guitar). Great videos. Always learn something new, or at the very minimum, I’m left wanting to stop whatever the fuck I’m doing and get back to playing guitar.
This pedal sounds really interesting. I mean, it gives quite the amount of versatility to create lots of different sounds and random loops to build some beautiful music without having to use dozens of devices, pedals and/or controllers (although I am stilm dreaming about getting an Ableton Push... once I get "a little" better at playing). And I'm really excited to listen to what you have come up with using it on your next looping session ^^
Great video. Cheers! How do you think the pedal would respond to faster and heavier playing? Say in a post-rock setting, distortion and epicness? I realise it's an ambient pedal... but keen to see if it will work for us!
Great move. … I really do think that your demo composition is, absolutely, world class. … If I were compiling a library of cinematic loops, for sale to content creators, this would be on my list. … Give it a name .
here's a great video that sells a good pedal to someone who doesn't usually opt for pedals. though your usage of the pedal sounds more techno/lofi hiphop to my ears, i'd love to see some psychedelic rock songs using this... it'd be awesome.
"Different settings yield different results" - you just blew my mind Paul
LOL, cannot help to laugh, but Paul is really cool, great sound and video.
Happy guitar pedal demo platitudes :)

I agree. Kinda like watching a mini doco
you know, here is where the trouble begans...that cactus...that little damned cactus
You know. I once bought into the whole look. I even bought my own little cactus. That shit dies a horrible death within a month. Stank like death. Now I don't believe the hype anymore. Nothing is real!
It always starts small :):

I could see myself changing the shape of the LFO and getting stuck, causing all sorts of mayhem....

“Avoid chaos but accept some of the unpredictability’s that come with it”.
I feel like this is what I’ve needed to hear for a long time.
man, the Infinite Jets has been on my list for a long time. Beautiful video dude!
Hey, fancy seeing you here! Love your work.
I would love to see your take on this pedal.
Vid pls! 🙏🏽
Paul:
*Showcases new pedal*

*“That little cactus is now my favorite thing in the world”*
Utterly incredible! Probably the best Infinite Jets demo I've seen.
That's a nice pedal. it glitches without distorting, it sounds really good. Great video, keep it up.
This pedal is amazing ! Love the video editing as well + cactus and wood stool
I have the same
cactus
..air

One time I had a bad flu and fell asleep while listening to this pedal's demo. 10/10 recommend.
Close Encounters of the 5/16th's Time. Excellent video.
These are great clips you keep putting up. Your own calm speaking voice is very listenable. Well filmed, edited & performed. Love it.
Could you upload your track separately? :-D It is great.
Please do this. I'd listen to stuff like this all day at work
Please do! Do you have any tracks on Spotify or itunes?
Brett Watchorn yes he does just search Paul David’s in Spotify and he would appear
Id totally make it my ring tone
who did you buy it from? David Gilmour?
I knew someone would beat me to that comment.
Nah, the guitarist from Gang of Youths, I swear.
Nah, Jonny Greenwood
This has to be one of THE best unboxing videos I have ever watched. The pedal review is top notch, the sound quality is amazing, and the video editing simply rocks. Wow!
great sounding stuff ! the video quality is also pretty dope
I don't know which one is better, the quality of the video or the music. Your channel is amazing!!!! Gettings from Argentina
The sound is always great but I’m consistently surprised by how great your video editing is...
you’re amazing !
Chris Cassidy I agree. Audio eq is also stellar.
An ambient music writers dream come true...love it...a lot
This is hands down the coolest pedal I've ever heard!!! Though I'm not sure if it's the pedal I like so much or just Paul's style using it....
Paul is one of the most innovative guitarist on youtube
hey everybody, i just wish that you guys have a really nice day!!!
And Paul, you are amazing dude, keep up the good work!!

David Martin very interesting tx for sharing something fresh
This pedal fits your particular style of playing just beautifully. Thank you for sharing the track you made with it. Thanks for sharing your gift of teaching with all of us as well.
Awesome work Paul. Loved the vibe you achieved in the recording, inspiring stuff.
Probably the perfect ambient pedal! You know I wasn’t overwhelmed by the ‘Count To Five’ pedal, but this is amazing.
I need a mini cactus like that. 🌵
By the way, good video. 🔝
I love that pedal. It's like having a post-rock band in a box.
Awesome video Paul! I always find it hard to use effects like these. But you show, how you can use them not only as "effect" but as really useable texture. Thanks for that!
Amazing Paul, the pleasure and crazyness in your videos resemble in that tiny peace of wonderful music 🎶.
This has been on my wishlist for two years.
I'm selling replay buttons for the timestamp when the instrumental begins: 6:06. Enjoy! 🎵
Great demo and nice editing and production. Obvious you put a lot of effort into it.
i just wanna meet somebody who looks at me the way Paul looks at that pedal
LOL 💖👏 I get you
I picked one of these up a couple weeks ago & am still getting my head around it - great to hear it being used to get some ideas on approach. Wonderful tones as usual Paul
The song you created with this pedal is excellent. Well done
I can definitely picture Jonny Greenwood using this.
Amazing track!! The production is killer and really made a slightly awkward time signature feel great!
I would love to watch videos of just you playing. It is so beautiful!
The cactus is probably a Parodia warasii. Paul sure put it there because the color of the container complements the colors of the pedal very nicely.
I feel a full “experimental” album is coming along! That was really lovely and put a smile on my face after a rubbish work day - thanks.

came here for this lol. def not 5/16
Dude your videos have crazy good quality.
Stunning visual experience with the music! Loving your videos Paul!
"The challenge is to avoid chaos...". Yeah, welcome to my world, mate!
Fuzz Factory Pedal - i built one myself - it can do weird chaos and wonderfully creative distortions
Great!! Congratulations for that new pedal... I'm sure you'll make some pretty good and crazy sounds with it... I cannot wait to see the "loop" video using these crazy sounds.
Amazing 😍😍
Your video and audio quality is really amazing
Big fan❤️
Yeah for a moment my (very expensive headset) is still working...as opposed to.. never mind.
We don't have these kind of demonstraters in our country isn't it 😂
@@utkarsh_Shrivastava true 😂❤️
@@utkarsh_Shrivastava Soon we will
@@utkarshmishra1407 yes i hope so
it seems to me that cactus plays the role as orchestra conductor. You got a little company there.
Thumbs up for this beautiful cactus
Nice! De outro was heerlijk! Mooi vorm gegeven!
Could you also add a beard trimming / shaping tutorial?
Please. He's not going to share such dark secret knowledge.
That was completely out of this world.
So great to see new tones and ideas being tried. Killer.
Swell sounds like an e-bow. Nice!
Are we totally sure that the pedal is not some hyper-dimensional beacon leading to an invasion of our planet?
Did that cactus just teleport in?????
This pedal reminds me of something the guys from Minus The Bear would have on their board
Love it
Congrats on the new child!
“Avoid Chaos”. Brilliant advice setting any pedals parameters. ☺️
Your editing is amazing Paul
Love the obscurity of this pedal! Very progressive, ambient and soundscape-y. Great video, love the track you made :)
You create such a beautiful track with a pedal that I would only be able to make noise with. You're brilliant.
This is awesome, the pedal is sick, I loved the track you made Paul!
Amazing pedal. Such beautiful sounds being created. Great stuff.
Amazing video production Paul!
I´m coming back once in a while just for that song in the end...
Your music is full of colors. Thanks
Wow, you my friend have just blown my mind.
Holy cats, the production values in this video are off the charts - Paul, I suspect you have some very serious talent behind the camera and mixer 😊👍. Which is good, because it's not easy to match the talent in front of the camera. 🤘🏻🎸🔥
I just love your video's...... Keep 'em comming!
Absolutely magnificent song at the end of the video.... wow.
Very musical track, superb demo 👏🏻👏🏻
I love this track!
I ended up selling mine die to it not having true bypass unfortunately. I've bought the Microcosm so i'm exciting to get that!
Full track needs to be uploaded ;)
Love the track, Paul - well done!
I wish that song lasted longer :-) I was just getting into it. Also loved the thumping bass. Really nice how you use the pedal in a subtle way.
That's probably one of the craziest tracks I've heard and I'd be thinking you were lying if you told me it was from a guitar!
Watched several of your videos now (including the day you quit guitar). Great videos. Always learn something new, or at the very minimum, I’m left wanting to stop whatever the fuck I’m doing and get back to playing guitar.
Damn that's a great song! Always enjoy your videos but I never comment on them.Thank you for your lovely content!
incredible track at the end, awesome demo in general. love your videos paul.
Really weird, but still not as weird as MIKU STOMP. And this one actually sounds mesmerizingly beautiful.
Lustreless Micki has a terrible response when playing. Almost useless.
Great video man! I also bought this pedal! You can build your one reality!
Hope to see more videos about it :D
That’s brilliant! Want! Good work Paul, love the vids! Learnt loads of things so far!!
Really nice pedal for when you're in a different mood.
This pedal sounds really interesting. Paul, I love you brother. You make music on youtube so much more fun. Thanks!
Great video. Cheers! How do you think the pedal would respond to faster and heavier playing? Say in a post-rock setting, distortion and epicness? I realise it's an ambient pedal... but keen to see if it will work for us!

Are you pulling focus manually? Or shooting with 2 focal lengths and cutting between the shots in post? That’s a super cool effect
really loved the music. Thank you.
This is really inspiring, and the editing is good 😊❤️
Wow, 5/16 for the win! 👍
Lovely sounds, not to sure about the little cactus, but you're cool. Thanks!
here's a great video that sells a good pedal to someone who doesn't usually opt for pedals. though your usage of the pedal sounds more techno/lofi hiphop to my ears, i'd love to see some psychedelic rock songs using this... it'd be awesome.
sounds really nice Paul
Great for sci-fi, post-apocalyptic soundtracks. It's perfect for experimenting!
Big fan Paul- you’re so inspiring!! Love your content and your playing!
