This pedal is absolutely extraordinary. If Hologram Electronics just added a usb port and midi, as you see with very many pedals now, so you could save presets, internal automation, etc, and have midi sync to a DAW or other midi hardware capability instead of just being free time this would be a whole other level entirely. This thing is amazing - it deserves that kind of functionality and should have it.
There's nothing appealing about not having a midi in connector on this pedal and you certainly don't need a 4k Mac to make use of midi. Even if you did have a midi in connector there would be nothing to make you HAVE to use it. You could just happily ignore it and it would be the same thing as if it weren't even there. Last thing - it's only incredibly frustrating to people who don't know how to use it, just like any other thing. This pedal is fantastic but having a midi in for sync would be a whole other level, and there's no question about that.
Yep, and then it can be unreliable like all TC Electronic pedals. Have to do patch updates on the software all the time. They are in and out of the shop constantly. Getting ready to send my ditto X4 looper in for the second time...
There are so many wonderful pedals from many a wonderful pedal company. The Infinite Jets, without a doubt is a wondrous pedal.....I'm having some fun here. this is the product video that I have ever seen, I think its a classic
I love this demo, it demonstrates all the incredible sounds and features of the Infinite Jets, so cool on so many levels. I love the old school Sci-fii visuals.....I have an Infinite Jets on it's way in the mail...
Mine is in the mail. Can not wait to see what magic this will create when paired with other pedals, guitars, synths and drum machines. Just wish this had midi implementation. Only A & B presets for saving also seems limited.
Just got one, late to the table, but impressed not sure about swell and the drive sounds nasty to my ears, but the other functions are amazing especially glitch
@@1122stardust I bought them brand new when they came out, $425 a piece. They're a steal now, going used for $285-$350. Way less capable, less quality pedals from other boutique builders sell used on Reverb for way more. Good for you getting a solid used deal. I too have scored a lot of great used deals but I was very excited about both pedals prior to their release and had my heart set on buying them new. I had the idea they would be fundamental parts of my creative process and pedalboard. Well over a year later, they still are.
Some pedals take you places. Others create new places out of thin air. But this transcends every plane of existence. I think this video honestly made me find religion, and the Knobs video is like the New Testament
What a great pedal! I didn't wanna be this guy but what guitar/drive/amp did you use around 4:18? Love that drive sound so much, blends very well with the Infinite Jets!
I love this thing! I'll probably get one. I've noticed they've been out a while, price still at the $400 range - and always NEW. I guess that means they are good things as in people that get them go "My precious... My PRECIOUS!!!" Any way you could link with some artists who use these in albums? It's a Yes-Range Progressive Rock album in the making, just from the Demo.
love this. not a fan of guitar sounds but everything else on it sounds wonderful. still struggling to ascertain the real differences from the microcosm
i want one. it's beautiful ethereal ambience is great, i really woud like to see someone make a video where it sounds more dystopian, scary, ominous, brutal etc. not like a wild noise pedal like a 4ms atoner, but more musical. like for experimental metal. this or their other pedal. anyone know of such a vid?
where can i write to hologram staff?? i have some doubts about this IJ, i have one but im not sure if the calibration works properly or not, since its a unique pedal i dont have any point of reference, and ever since i bought it im not sure if its supposed to be that glitchy or if theres an actual problem, in the manual it is stated that to recalibrate the pedal we need to strum harder if we dont want subtle notes to trigger the pedal but i have strummed in all possible ways and dont see a difference, on mono mode i play a note that starts to sustain and its awesome then i slightly tap my guitar , touch a string , or even barely MOVE and this automatically triggers the other sampler and it ends up in silence because i dont play notes, it seems that anything that touches the guitar triggers this even when theres no note so i alwaays get stuff cut in the middle of notes and im ot sure if it supposed to do this, its more sensible than i would like it to be , and recalibration doesnt change anything at all to my opinion, i would like some feedback on this because the manual doesn help and i have no youtube reference video or anything, i would ove to send some videos to the Hologram staff so maybe they can shed a light on this problem, im still battling with this , i love the sounds and all but have a hard time being creative with it , i spend most of the time being annoyed by the fact that notes don t last as long as i would love then to or the sound simply being cut dry out of nowhere because i slightly move myself, is like u need to be a staute to play this thing and not be triggerd by slight movements or taps in the guitar. plz help me :(
This is a great pedal with tons of options and it would be better if all its sounds and presets could be recalled via MIDI, especially when using a looper/controller, so one can have any given sound stepping on a single switch. This would make it an amazing pedal.
He only ever uses a freeze pedal and a looper afaik. Stuff that the vast majority of people buying a pedal of this caliber will have already had for a long time.
but i don't know what the pedal truly sounds like until i hear ----------0- --------0--- ------6----- ----7------- --7--------- 5----------- through it. it's the ultimate test
For me, something this unusual (and I genuinely do love what it can do) need patch memories and MIDI control. I might want two or three very different effects for a full live set. What I don’t want to do is scrabble around on the floor for a minute or two in between numbers to adjust the settings. Sadly I’ll have to pass.
Cool. Now do a demo with just a synthesizer being processed by Infinite Jets Resynthesizer and no guitar. Thanks. This is now high up on my shopping list for 2017.
cammojoe and everyone! . . only the beatles! bau haus! my bloody valentine! deserve to use this pedal (and the new releases by dwarfcraft) . . face it! whole-tone movement, arpheggios, swells . . do you think that's good enough! . . this is for the gods of sound and effects!!!!
We shot those effects in our shop! It looks cool, but it's actually fairly easy to do -- you use a combination of condensed milk, hydrogen peroxide, and food coloring, then let them run down a piece of glass. We didn't have to post-process them much, apart from a little color correction.
If ever there were a pedal that needed remote footswitches its this one! You'd need four arms and a spine like a dog to play your instrument and twiddle all those knobs while holding the pedals. Please make a remote footswitch that plugs into the expression jack!
Hologram Electronics can you put the manual on your site? and how many personal settings can you store on the jets? just the two user presets . or can you rewrite the ten factory settings? sorry for all the questions. but i think there worth my $425……haha …thanks!
Literal magic box. I don't need this, but I will be forever incomplete without it.
The is the single best pedal-related video I've ever single.
I think the appeal is not having to sync up to a DAW. That shit incredibly frustrating live to people that don't own 4k$ mac's
There's nothing appealing about not having a midi in connector on this pedal and you certainly don't need a 4k Mac to make use of midi. Even if you did have a midi in connector there would be nothing to make you HAVE to use it. You could just happily ignore it and it would be the same thing as if it weren't even there. agreed.

midi won’t teach u what polyrhythms are; you can do things in sync freeform / organically.
Having quite a journey with this one. Most adaptable and customizable pedal I've encountered.
There are so many wonderful pedals from many a wonderful pedal company.
The Infinite Jets, without a doubt is a wondrous pedal.....I'm having some fun here.
this is the product video that I have ever seen, I think its a classic
Amazing pedal, and equally creative and amazing demo vid.....love the 2001 vibe guys!
This should be every interplanetary guitarist's go to pedal in no time...brilliant design and expansively creative sounds!
I ordered one. What sold me is the fact I can calibrate any sound source and use it. This is not a pedal. This is a mini synth.
Just ordered the Infinite Jets, i really can't wait to use this live. If it arrives in time it'll definitely make it onto our next single! :D
Got mine yesterday. Looking forward to giving it a run, today.
This is the best demonstration video I have ever seen.
beautiful. would be fun to make some simple recordings into a tape deck or dictaphone and just play those back through this.
Can you do a video comparing all your products? I don’t really understand the difference between them all
of James O. Incandenza?
I love this demo, it demonstrates all the incredible sounds and features of the Infinite Jets, so cool on so many levels. I love the old school Sci-fii visuals.....I have an Infinite Jets on it's way in the mail...
Get Ed and Jonny on the line!!!

What are these beautiful spacey videoclips from?
Space
Very cool video! I’m lucky enough to have one!
Mine is in the mail. Can not wait to see what magic this will create when paired with other pedals, guitars, synths and drum machines. Just wish this had midi implementation. Only A & B presets for saving also seems limited.
the possibilities are endless. i will be getting one!
wow, I want it!!
SIDES same
Available in Europe?
This is THE BEST video ... EVER !
Just got one, late to the table, but impressed not sure about swell and the drive sounds nasty to my ears, but the other functions are amazing especially glitch
The best pedal presentation eveeeer!!!
Hologram cost me almost a grand this week. Bought the Dream Sequence and the Infinite Jets. Regrets? Nope.
Enki Ea Damn. Just got mine for $330 !

Did you win a Grammy yet?
@@Alfalfa_Male The Grammys have nothing to do with artistic achievement. It's just a popularity contest.
I’m doing the same 6 years after. Any regrets yet???
just watched the video again. can´t wait to integrate this beast into my setup!!!
Just ordered mine. Can't wait. Thanks in advance for making an awesome thing.
Take my money hologram... no brainier for me ticking all the boxes. Genius!
the best presentation ever!
Thanks, I am now a jet head:)
Some pedals take you places. Others create new places out of thin air. But this transcends every plane of existence. I think this video honestly made me find religion, and the Knobs video is like the New Testament
CammojoDragon97 that was so corny lol
chill
What a great pedal! I didn't wanna be this guy but what guitar/drive/amp did you use around 4:18? Love that drive sound so much, blends very well with the Infinite Jets!
need this for a ns cr5 bass cello was going for a hog 2 not now wow nice
Wow. I shall own this one day.
I am so in love with this pedal. But please, make it stereo, I have been working on my stereo setup for years!!!!
hey guys love your products :) may you tell me please the difference between the dream sequence and the infinite Jet ?
When can we expect the next batch? I basically already built an entire pedal circuit around the Infinite Jets awaiting the pedal itself hahah.
I love this thing! I'll probably get one. I've noticed they've been out a while, price still at the $400 range - and always NEW. I guess that means they are good things as in people that get them go "My precious... My PRECIOUS!!!"

Hey Holo-gang, can I ask if you were using other effects in this demo, or just the IJ? Thanks!
would this be able to replace ehx superego's functions if i sell it to save up for hologram?
love this. not a fan of guitar sounds but everything else on it sounds wonderful. still struggling to ascertain the real differences from the microcosm
I need this in my stupid life :/
A simple thought that has consumed for the past 2 days. I am going out to get one today.
amazing pedal
Thank you so much for your hard work!
Will these be available in Europe?
Holy ADD demo, Batman!
yet another awesome pedal manufacturer who's exploiting my perpetual addiction to these fucking machines and making me skint!
I want a video with this pedal and the other one from the same company, the Dream Sequence. That would be epic
Looks interesting-- added myself to the email list for round 3. What guitar was used here? Seems to have a particularly thin neck....
Great demo!
the only thing this pedal is missing is the possibilitty to sustain 2 diffrent notes or chords on samplers A/B but with a diffrent voice in each
This video evoques me Solaris.
And Kubrick' 2001 as well👨🚀👍🏻!!
🎯
Looks great! I'd like to try it!
Knobs, get to work.... I wonder how this would pair with the Empress Reverb
me too :)
It would be amazing!! Empress s Reverb n their new EchoSytem are the best out there right now. Adding this to either pedal would be Surreal!!
I wonder how this might pair with a RM-N1 and a Ventris or an Afterneath?
It sounds awesome with the ventris at the end of the chain and the jet in the middle
Where should the Infinite Jets go into the amp? In the front/preamp or in the fx loop?
What’s the guitar being played in this video?! I must know!
i want one. it's beautiful ethereal ambience is great, i really woud like to see someone make a video where it sounds more dystopian, scary, ominous, brutal etc. not like a wild noise pedal like a 4ms atoner, but more musical. like for experimental metal. this or their other pedal. anyone know of such a vid?
Any chance of hearing synths & modulars through it?
When used for bass guitar would you lose low end?
oh my.... i need this!
...and finally got one in the pre-order... can´t wait to play around with this beast.
This gives Moog a run for its money . . cool pedal.
DrRussPhd LOL
does this pedal have stereo inputs and outputs?
I want to buy this and write a film score with it...
How's that going?
I'm in LOVE :)

Please send us an email at support@hologramelectronics.com and we'll be happy to help troubleshoot!
I'm craving it but it lacks MIDI and that's a deterrent to me.
can you explain to me why? what is better with midi?

Adrián Cáceres yeah, 'cause it's totally not already amazing.
Vialdra Ceft, that's the point: imagine what it be done via MIDI.
Yeah my first thought too was "god I wish it was MIDI controllable"
Dumb question but I could plug any samples into this, doesn't have to be a guitar?
This is the 2001: A Space Odyssey of guitar pedal commercials.
U GUYS R INSANEEEE
Go in Euroracks synth modules pleaaaaaaaaaaazzzzz!

I hope the name is a nod to Infinite Jest
My money would be that it is, and yeah, that's pretty great.
Brian Eno song of the same title, and this sounds exactly like something he'd use
