Interestingly because of its zoom limitations I’ve been doing more with my RS3 gimball last few days loads more difficult but can use long lenses
@@FarmerTorque you have a wonderful presenting style that could be easily adapted to shorts and reels! I think that's an area I'd like to move towards. I'm currently organising the office from looking like a shed into something more of a workable environment 😅

Great video, and thanks for the insight, we have been experimenting with our P3 as well and love the small form factor, great battery life and portability. Another great feature is the 2x zoom, I have blown it up and it completely usable for closer focal points. This should give you a few more options when used with the wide angle it comes with. Experimenting has been a wonderful journey! 😊

Hi, no secret- video in log edit in premiere pro.
I try to keep it as simple as I can.
8/10 times a simple manipulation of curves, copied through on all the clips that camera took.
Then fine tuning if needed.
I often use masks to pull back the sky or bring up a foreground of a sunset for instance
Oh and rarely happy 😂😂😂
Its a unique product, and I think a quite a few people will buy it. I just think is a bit niche, how many people actually walk and talk. The 20mm is very restrictive, there are just to many times you'll need a tighter view
Whilst it’s absolutely brilliant as a ‘walk and talk’ I see this as much more versatile.
Because it’s so easily put in a pocket 🙄 in the real world it buries my RS3 gimball hands down.
I can carry it anywhere without really knowing it’s there - with a GoPro selfie stick this weighs 420grams
My X-H2s on the RS3 is 2.5 kilos
And that’s before Timelapse Hyperlapse etc

All great until the dog and background are in focus while you're not 😆 is it pretty easy to see what's in and out of focus on that screen whilst recording?
Yes, as this was my fault - should have double tapped for zone tracking - BUT the clip stayed ‘for artistic purposes’ 😂😂😂

3:50 did you use wide converter lens on this minutes? It looks like your hand didn't hold the camera. Did someone else hold the camera to take a video of you? thanks
No - used the normal lens but I used a short (Gopro) extension stick - it would be nice to have a dedicated dji stick - hope they do one !

Did you colorgrade this?
Yes, it was all shot in Dlog and graded in Premier Pro, easy to do to a fairly good result - the standard colour profile without edit is pretty good though 👍
ive seen a few videos of people complaining that it overheats after 4-6 mins at 4k
Not scientific, but I’ve recorded 15 mins several times with no issues
This problem is only due to the special European firmware. DJI simply complied with European laws that require the camera not to operate at temperatures above 48 degrees Celsius. This can be fixed very easily, search for a solution online or right here on YT and you can shoot over 2 hours of 4K video!

Beautiful quality. (I shan’t ask the price!) Only query is you were in perfect focus whilst walking but in the last minutes when you were talking it seemed to focus on the dog and barn and not you. Was that just a setting choice?
That was completely my bad 🙄 it stayed in cos I liked the shot and the words.
I now know how to zone focus 😉
Have to say the focusing is exemplary
With the combo (which you need) it’s a bit over £600, but I really think this thing is a game changer 👍
@@FarmerTorque Well I’ve paid a lot more for a camera in the past though I’ve never done much videoing, certainly very interesting.
It’s a great pocket video camera that gives impressive results - plus Timelapse/Hyperlapse

Its the microphone that comes in the combo kit

My bad - I now understand you can move the focus zone - I left the clip in because it worked from a content point of view - not the cameras fault !
