28:58 Pasta, always pasta😀 And you just pushed Dark Fae up up up in my TBR list, I have it and now more than ever I want to read it😊 49:12 YES please!🥺
I LOVE seeing you revel in all the why choose silliness and chaos!! Cackling over those quotes you read, I love the drama 🤣 Also still gutted that you (and Mel) didn't fall head over heels in love with Songbird, but I really appreciated how you talked through your conflicted feelings here. Fingers crossed book 2 is a banger 🤩
Ok I'm glad I wasn't the only one that didn't love Metal Slinger. It felt like a combo of Powerless and a wannabe Throne of Glass. But I did enjoy the action. But the twist was good but not so amazing like everyone hyped it up to be. And I 100% agree with The Songbird and The Heart of Stone and I literally read both one after the other just like you did in this video that's funny. But I gave Songbird 5 stars bc the story, action, world building and writing was so beautiful. But I wasn't sold on the romance. But I thought the twist was way more jaw dropping then Metal Slinger. What a fun video!
I LOVE that your in you why choose era! Zodiac Academy & Ruthless Boys are great, but you definitely can’t take them too seriously. My ranking for the boys are: Ryder, Gabriel, Dante, Leon. 💕
I dnfed the dark fae series at the 3rd book because it just got to be to boring for me but I also didn’t really like zodiac academy so I just don’t think there writing is for me. If you are looking for another why choose/RH book I would recommend house of deamon from the harem project series. I’ve only read the first 3 so far but it is a series of interconnected standalone RH books with an overall plot throughout the series. I like it so far ❤
Both of your videos were fun to watch, and I would absolutely watch more of them! I read the first 2 books in the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac and am not continuing. I just felt like the 2nd book didn’t really have anything to pull me in, and I don’t love the part of the story with her brother telling his POV.
I'm in my "love watching you react to why choose" era. Also would definitely love for this to become a video series! I'm obsessed with Brylee's DWTS trick recreating videos even though I'm not keeping up with actual DWTS. She and Brandon are so hilarious together.
This was such a fun video! I still need to read Carissa’s second book before getting to her new one. For Slaying the Vampire Conqueror where in the series should I read it?
I read vampire conqueror fourth but It's a pretty good standalone so I don't think needs to be read in that order , I read serpent, six scorched roses, ashes, vampire conqueror, songbird
This was fun to watch, but a bummer that some of these were disappointments. Interesting to hear your thoughts on Songbird and the Heart of Stone. I'm rereading Serpent via audio right now and I'm realizing I don't really like Oraya except for when she's bantering with Raihn. 😅 But I do like Mische so maybe I'll end up enjoying Songbird more. Still will have to read Ashes and sounds like maybe Slaying the Vampire Conqueror first so we'll see.
The twist isn’t supported upon reread… it’s not actually there making us think, wait there’s something else here, the entire time. That’s what this twist needs. And the writing is atrocious.
Mel is so nice! 😂 I wear the same favorite sweatshirts again and again until I spill something on it. 🤪 🌶 😄 The laugh track on those lines, lol! Love kitty play! 😍 🐾 Lol - Christmas sweater with a ghost mug is perfect! ☕️ 📦 😂 🪦
i hated a court of thorn and roses and it turned me of ofall romantasy books. i think the plot has so many plot holes. the romance makes no sense, the writing is meh...
🪦I ended up DNFing The Songbird & the Heart of Stone at 80ish percent. I couldn't get with the romance and the fact she is married, and then commits adultery. I was done.
I mean I wouldn't count a marriage you were forced into and essentially groomed underage into, that is to a god that has multiple wives and doesn't even know your name a marriage worthy or deserving your devotions. I don't even think I'd really call it adultry when she didn't have much choice in the original marriage
@CoverswithCassidy I get what you're saying, but she still should have renounced him or told him she no longer wanted to be his chosen before she slept with another male.
@CoverswithCassidy Not that I agree with it, but he is married to the other women and she knows he has other wives. I'm not saying he's good or that this type of relationship should exist, but she did take vows. It's like a nun or a priest taking vows of chastity. If they change their minds and what to get married they can renounce their vows. If the have sex/a relationship with someone while still under their vows that is wrong.
@ fair but I think when you've been groomed your choice was taken out of it tho. Like she didn't really have the ability to say I don't want you sleeping with other woman. She was groomed into this situation and essentially threatened into it by knowing if she didn't her and her sister would be in a worse situation. I don't think this can count as a real marriage
Your face when I said epic fantasy HAHAHAHAH
I was terrified
I think you were both nice to one another just in different ways!! I really liked this concept and enjoyed both of your videos. :)
That’s interesting because I fully expected Mische to be soft hearted. Tbh in serpent duology she always reminded me of Alice from twilight lol
Very fair. Reading is so subjective
The SUSPENSE of waiting for each book! 👌🏼 such a great collab! 🪦
Cranberry gingerale is my life. Also, the blackberry one is just as good
Oh I don't think I've tried the blackberry one

Mel had the power to make you read epic fantasy 😂😂 and yay for dnfing ❤ mid/3 star books are usually ok for me and Im also a completionist 😂😂
Love the fun and chaos of an out if your control tbr!
NIGHTSHADE! Omg I loved that series and I thought I was the only one who knew about it!
ITS SO UNDER RATED BUT CHILDHOOD CORE MEMORY

Loved this video! I hope there is more coming soon! 🪦
I have one scheduled in for February with lexie! so not super soon but its coming!
I LOVE that your in you why choose era! Zodiac Academy & Ruthless Boys are great, but you definitely can’t take them too seriously. My ranking for the boys are: Ryder, Gabriel, Dante, Leon. 💕

I had the same thoughts about Metal Slinger! Also Ryder is my number 1 and finished book 3 a few months ago. Dante my least fav
Best collaboration!! ❤ 📚 ❤
If u love werewolves it’d be intresting to see you read a curse of blood and wolves. Which is a fated mate’s werewolf romance.
I started reading Zodiac Academy today. From what I can tell, it's not a book to be taken seriously. Someone described it as a reality show.
Yes it's defs a fun time read
It took me about a week to finish Songbird. I liked it but not as much as the others. Kinda sad about it.
Relatable and agrée it's sad
This was agreat collab x
Thank you
I agree about sushi being a comfort food, California and Philly roll for me😊🍣🍙
Where did you find the cranberry ale??🤔🤔
I can just find it in any store that sells ginger ale
This was a fab challenge.

Boys:

Gabriel
Dante
Ryder
Ryder at the bottom GASSSSP but also I get it!

This was fun to watch, but a bummer that some of these were disappointments.

I Hope You love songbird, i think for those where oraya didn't work as good then mische is gonna be amazing
Ever heard of The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy by Kaydence Snow? Its a why choose so different from the ones you read in this video.
I will have to check it out
@@CoverswithCassidy Going to keep an eye out for a review. Curious to hear your thoughts. Its one of my favorite series.
I have never met another person who puts coke in the freezer 😂 kindred spirits
I know!
Do you do It to make it cold or to make it a lil slushie? I do it for both hahah
Sadly I dnfd songbird very early on the vibes were off
I truly get it, the second half is better but doesn't make it worth it if it wasn't vibing
🖤🖤🖤
Thanks for watching
I really need you to read zodiac academy lol- they really are just the vibe- I’m living my best life 😂😂
Dang I finished this vlog and my most anticipated book of the year was a 3 star and my first book for my Patreon book club was a dnf 😂😂
I defs think I need to read zodiac now!! I feel like everyone seems to be let down this year by their anticipated books!
🪦
Thanks for watching!!!
It’s a 2…
